Summary: A Really Good Book
Review: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire from J.K. Rowling is about a boy. A boy named Harry Potter goes to his fourth year of Hogwarts his Wizardry school. He has friends that are Ron and Hermione. In the story Ron asks Harry if he could go to the Quidditch World Cup with him. Then Harry replies by telling him he could go. Then when they go back to Hogwarts, they get announced that the Triwizard Tournament was going to be held at Hogwarts. Then when the Goblet of Fire was there, Harry¡¯s name comes out of the goblet and was chosen to be in the Triwizard Tournament. The first task was to get past a dragon, then the second task was to save a person underwater, and then the third task was to get through a maze filled with creatures.
The reason I like this book is because when Harry Potter meets back up with Sirius Black. ¡®Harry however was looking back at the dog, which had just turned into his godfather.¡± When Harry goes back to Hogsmeade to meet Sirus, he told them to bring chicken, bread, and pumpkin juice. Then they went to Hogsmeade and went to where Sirius told them to go. Sirius was living in a cave for a year. ¡°They squeezed into it and found themselves in a cool, dimly lit cave.¡± This means he was in a cave.
The reason I disliked the book is because of the part of when Wormtail kills Cedric Diggory. ¡°A swishing noise and the second voice, which screeched the words to the night: ¡±¡±Avada Kevarda¡±¡± meant that Wormtail used a spell to kill Cedric Diggory. Then when Voldemort became alive. ¡°The thin man stepped out of the cauldron, staring at Harry.¡± This means that Voldemort became alive once more.
My most favorite part was when Harry had to save Ron underwater. I like this part because he eats something that made him be able to breathe underwater. The part disliked the most was when Harry and Cedric both touch the Triwizard Cup together and were both ported to a graveyard. Then Wormtail comes and kills Cedric and makes Voldemort alive once again.

Summary: Even adults can get hooked!
Review: I saw the first movie on VHS with my son and liked the story. I read the first book, then the third (Prizoner of Azkaban) and just finished Goblet of Fire. I need to read Chamber of Secrets before I see the movie.

I liked this book for many reasons, most of which have already been written about by other reviewers here. I did not like all the constant referring back to previous books. It tends to lose momentum at times. This particular book is dark and dangerous and I found myself unable to sleep at times, worrying about poor Harry. I guess that is a good indication that even adults can get hooked into these books easily.

Some words of advice for reading this series yourself. Read them in order if you can as they build upon each other. Read them if you can particularly Goblet of Fire, BEFORE your kids read them, because this one in particular has scenes that are more than mildly disturbing, and possibly nightmare producing for the younger reader.

I like the rest of the world, wait patiently for number 5 to arrive!

Summary: Great
Review: A good, imaginative book, better than the previous three. J.K. Rowling continues one of the best fantasy sagas to date.

I would recommend that the older reader pick up A Song of Ice and Fire, an ongoing series by George R.R. Martin. The books are tremendously good, and have as much impact upon the reader as these books. The first book is A Game of Thrones.

Summary: the best one yet
Review: Brilliant!Absolutely Brilliant!! It is to my deepest reget that I didn't really get interested in the Harry Potter books until just a couple of weeks ago. I started reading the first one and was hooked immediately, which is saying something for a teenager.
I read the first book and it automatically became my favorite. That is until I read book 2. This same scenario has happened whith the rest of the books. I must confess that The Goblet of Fire is now reigning supreme. I started reading this book one night and didn't get to sleep till my Mom came into my room and ordered me to go to bed. This book is gold! I can't wait till the next one!!

Summary: Stellar
Review: Prior to his fourth year at Hogwarts School for Witchcraft and Wizardry, Harry attends the International Quidditch Cup with his friends. After the exciting match, Harry and his friends Ron and Hermione hear some rumors about events at their school for the coming year, but they have to wait until the start of school to find out specifics. Harry just wants to be a normal young wizard, but You-Know-Who and his followers are lurking on the horizon, and they bring danger to Harry in ways he never imagined. Building on her previous three novels, Rowling outshines herself in this fourth book. While it is darker and a bit more serious than the previous books, "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire" is also well-balanced and fiercely true to its audience. I continue to be amazed at Rowling's storytelling prowess. I could hardly put the book down (which I did have to do because it was too heavy) while reading.

Summary: Rawlinga out did herself with this one.
Review: Harry Potter and the Goblet of fire By J.K Rawlings is the best in the series so far. This is a book not for just the young but also for anyone who is looking for a great book to read. J.K. Rawlings has written three books before this one with the theme of the young sorcerer Harry Potter and his adventures.

The story of Harry Potter is never boring or the same things over and over again like some books that are in a series like this. There is always the link between the book with the evil Lord Voldemort and Harry's awful muggle relatives. In this book Harry competes against other sorcerers and sorceress from other witchcraft schools.

This book keeps your attention all the way until the last word. It makes you want to not put the book down and when you get to the end you are ready for the next book. The only thing that I did find that I didn't like was that some of the words were unusual and there was no definition for them. I find it great that J.K. Rawlings can keep the books fresh and exciting for the readers. She also makes the words in the book easy so that children are able to read it. If you have read even one of the Harry Potter books you should continue reading the series to get to this one.

Summary: A classic
Review: Again, legendary author J.K. Rowling has given readers a wondeful story that they can read. Even people who do not usually read have their eyes clued to this book. And that's the wonderful part of the "Harry Potter" series. Your imagination grows wild as you travel with Harry into the world of magic and fantasy.

On his fourth year at Hogwarts School, Harry has found out that his a letter with his name written on it has been thrown into the Goblet of Fire, which would register a person into a dangerous contest. Though he never intended to, and there is an age limit, Harry has been chosen to play against other wizard from different schools in the Triwizard Tournament, where schools battle for skills. Can Harry win? Most importantly, who put his name in??

"Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire" is one that you'll want to read. When you pick it up, your mind is all focused on what happens next. You can feel Harry's emotional and physical struggle, and you will enjoy its humorous parts. Your heart is filled with suspense, as you read further and further, when you are drawn closer and closer to the end. And your boredom will die, as you read its exciting parts. This is the best "Harry Potter" yet!

Summary: I loved it!
Review: Don't judge these books by the movies. The books are a thousand times better. This one is definately my favorite. Action, adventure, mystery, comedy, magic (maybe even a little blooming romance?)... what else could you ask for in a book? It is one of the funnest books I have ever read. Everyone I've talked to agrees with me, and you will too. If you haven't read them yet, do, they are amazing. Especially this one. I think I read it in about two days, that's how good it is. So have fun reading!
