Summary: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
Review: This episode of Harry Potter was well worth the wait.... Why does every press release think of this as children's literature? I am 55 years old and just as thrilled with these books as everyone else and so are all MY friends. This last one releases the dark forces to carry the next three. It's the year's best read.

Summary: I didn't think it could get any better, but it did!
Review: I was worried that the fourth book wouldn't be up to her previous excellent writing. But, I was delighted with this book. I had to wait for my son to finish it, (he did in 2 days), then I read it. I loved the entire book, it certainly left room for the remaining 3 books. I tried to slow down my reading to savor every word, as I know it will be a while before the fifth book comes out. But I just couldn't, I was whizzing though the pages, actually with Harry everywhere he went. I didn't even realize I was reading! I am going to have to start it over again. It is really important to read these books in sequence. A lot of the cleverness might be missed if you didn't get to know the characters from the beginning. I absolutely loved this book, and am eagerly waiting for the next.

Summary: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is the Best Ever!
Review: This book totally blew me away! For once, something came outthat was worth all the hype about it. I have really enjoyed the HarryPotter series previously, as have my husband and sons, and I expected to enjoy this book. I did not expect to be enraptured by a book that made me laugh, cry, do both at the same time, bite my nails, scream in horror and smile with delight. I am so glad I was mistaken. When I realized how long this book is (750+ pages) I was sure that there were going to be some slow moments. NOT TRUE! This book starts off running and keeps you enthralled until you reach the last page begging for more. ...I would definitely recommend that anyone who wants to read this start with Book 1 and read the Harry Potter books in order. I am also unsure if the younger children who have enjoyed the series up until now will appreciate the darker turns in Goblet of Fire. If you are a parent of a child from age 7-10 who is a Harry Potter fan, make sure you discuss the more frightening aspects of the book with you child. I can't say enough good things about this book, but I don't want to give any of the surprises away. Let's just say there are lots of surprises, some of them frightening and some of them hilarious. JK Rowling has a way of interjecting humor in even the most tense of scenes. I really also enjoyed seeing the return of a number of characters whom I thought would not show up again. Read this book. You won't regret it.

Summary: "WHAT'S IT ALL ABOUT HARRY?"
Review: J.K. Rowling has done it again. This a cleverly written addition to the Harry Potter series. Harry has a "knack for attracting a lot of trouble", and also has the ability of imaginative creativity to work his way through a maze of traps. The theme is conflict between good and evil. Beautifully written. Harry's mentor, a powerful good wizard of his time prepares Harry for outwitting monsters in this dramatic, scary adventure. "It matters not what someone is born but what they grow to be". There is a timeless moral message here. Good does triumph over evil. Intriguing for both children and Adults.

Summary: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire -Year 4
Review: Harry Potter years 1-3 have been great books, but I think year 4 is the best so far. It is a book you just want to keep reading and never put down. It was mysterious, scary, and amazingly wonderful! All the characters are great, and I love Quidditch is awesome! I just can't wait till the next book, I bet it will be even better!

Summary: J.K Rowling Did It Again!
Review: J.K. Rowling has written yet another wonderful work about Harry Potter and his time at Hogwarts. I read it all in one day -- I didn't want to stop reading. The book didn't seem excessively long to me. In fact, it seemed almost too short -- not once did I wish that the part I was reading would go faster. I read a LOT of books, and I haven't had that happen since I read "The Gripping Hand" by Larry Niven.

It appears now that the first 3 books were merely prelude to the "real" story that begins with this book. "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire" answers some questions, but asks even more. It's a perfect "to be continued...." kind of book, because it left me feeling like a complete story was told, but also feeling anxious for more.

Harry is 3 years older than he was in the first book, and it shows. He is entering the most harrowing, spine-chilling, frightening period of his life -- he's discovering girls. Also, a very powerful evildoer is trying to kill him. It's almost a toss-up which gives him and his friends the most trouble, at least early on. It's nice to read a series of books about teenagers who actually age and change. Nobody worry, though. Harry's still a really nice boy, even if he is still somewhat of a typical teenager. After all, teenage life is hard enough even without people trying to kill you, and Harry has all the troubles of young adulthood. In short, he's growing up, and just in time, too.

The new characters introduced in this book are excellent, and serve to advance (and, in some cases, twist) the plot quite well. I'm looking forward to seeing some of them in future books. I'm also becoming very curious about Snape... but I'm sure we'll find out more in the next book.

In conclusion: A great book! Buy it now! Buy copies for your family and friends! :-) I hope you all love it as much as I did. The only problem is, now I can't wait for the next book to come out! Write faster, J.K.! :-)

Summary: Awesome Sequel!
Review: This book is the awesome sequel to 'Prisoner of Azkaban' as well as the rest of the Potter books. It goes into more depth and feeling than the others. This book will certainly keep you reading over and over again! 'Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire' takes place when Harry turns 14...the occurrings get more intriguing, and intense. Enjoy! I LOVED IT! Fellow Potter fans will love it all the same!

Summary: Some Have Greatness Thrust Upon Them....
Review: This is an incredible book, for kids or adults. The author tells a great tale, with generous helpings of humor, insight into the human condition, and cleverly veiled social commentary. It's scary and sad in parts, but uplifting throughout. And the ending sets up the greatest of conflicts, the struggle of good versus evil, to be resolved in the later books. Shakespeare had Hamlet --- Rowling has The Goblet of Fire.

Summary: READ THE WHOLE BOOK IN LESS THAN A DAY !
Review: GREAT BOOK ! I couldn't put it down. I read the entire book in less than one day. You really should read Books 1,2, and 3 first though. It will make more sense that way. I love the characters and the plot. I'm a technology teacher and I've encouraged other teachers to use this book ( and the first three) as part of their language arts courses. I have a 4 month old daughter and I can't wait for her to be old enough so I can read the whole series to her ! Some people say this is a children's book ~ not so ! Children of any age will enjoy these magical tales of wizards, witches and scary creatures. Read the Goblet of Fire ~ it's so good you won't want to put it down.
