Summary: Great buildup!
Review: Wow, seldom have I been that unable to put a book down. Especially over the last 150 pages there is tremendous speed, deep emotion, nerve-wrecking tension. It is true, this book contains more dark elements than the earlier ones, it is more cruel. But then, children get more cruelty on one night of TV-wachting then in this book. The language is definitely getting more grown-up, more earnest, as Harry and his friends grow up themselves. This and the end of the book really leave me looking forward to next summer. Cheer up, it only about 360 days to go!

Summary: BEST BOOKS EVER ! ! !
Review: I started reading the Harry Potter books in 1999. I have now read the first three books at least 5 times each and I have been waiting the fourth book to go on sale since last spring. If I could I would rate this as a ten star book rather than a five.

Summary: Great Summer Reading!
Review: Wow! It's a wonderful extension of the series of Harry Potter. Everyone in our family is in line to read it, but Mom got to go first and I finished in 2 days. Harry doesn't disappoint with more great stuff at Hogwarts school and all our favorite characters back again. This might be a little more "dark" than the early ones, but I think that #3 is more so. I loved the new wizard game in it, and having Harry and the gang grow up just a little is very realistic. There are lots of fun magical creatures and spells that go wrong to keep things exciting, and good does always win out in the end. I like Harry's resourcefulness and the way most adults who care about him are wise and helpful, but let him figure out how to deal with problems, too. I would recommend that parents follow the not younger than 9 years rating on it, but no one in my family is under 19 and we love them all! I can't wait for the next one.

Summary: the best so far
Review: This book is brilliant, i finished it in one night, this definitely beats off all competition from the other three books and from most childrens fiction around at the moment. But no book is perfect, the real flaw in this is that the first few books were written for 6+ year olds but this one is far too long and complicated for most people below 8 or so, i had no trouble but i know several younger kids that did get bored or simply turn away at the size of the book. So this is a brilliant buy but if you or your child is under 8 i'd suggest waiting a few years

Summary: All praise
Review: When i finally got Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, i was estatic. i just sat and read for 8 hours straight. This book is so worth your time. THis book gives more information about Harry's past. All in all, a great book

Summary: When does the fifth book get published?
Review: After reading the first three books of the series and waiting for the latest one, I must say it was worth the wait. It captured all the desperation and past plot lines that made the third book so cool, and developed the characters well, just like in the first two books. I loved how the story line shifts into another darker tone with the arrival of Voldemort, which will carry on to the final three books. Once again, Rowling tricked with her clever characters and use of magic to explain the plot. I just wish I hadn't finished it on July 12...

Summary: *Sniff Sniff*
Review: Okay... I finished this book about five minutes ago, and okay, say I'm sensitive or whatever, but it is really sad! The person who dies TOTALLY doesn't deserve to (but that's the way it works, I guess, right?), and the end really left it open, which of course is not nessecarily (sp?) a bad thing, but still....

Anyway, this book is far more serious than the others and the end was a real shock (at least to me). Nevertheless, it is still an excellent book and I hope that Ms. Rowling can provide some answers in her next book, which I will be eagerly awaiting! :)

Oh... if anyone wants to talk to me about it or if any1's fav character is Ron, Fred, Lupin, or Dumbledore (those are mine!) please email me at gnome47@home.com

Summary: It was just OK
Review: It was just too long. And there were muggles involved in a non-muggle sport, Quiddich. It did'n't make sense. It was ok. But I was bored some what with it!

Summary: Outstanding Family Fun
Review: Wow! We got our copy about noon on Saturday. I finished reading it, outloud, to my wife and two daughters at 10pm Monday evening. Can't wait for the next one!

Rowlings continues to show an incredible grasp of the English language, as well as provide wonderful detail of an imaginary world.

Summary: Great Book! Another surprise ending!
Review: I loved the book. I thought I had it figured out at the end, but I was wrong, just like the previous books. The plot was great, and everything was explained, she left nothing out and let you out your own pieces together. I love the way she make these books mysterys. However, I think she should have left out the 'damn'words. I don't find it appropriate for children readers. Also, all the 'er's got rather annoying. It was dark, but not too dark. Great book! I can't wait for the next one!
