Rating: Summary: Major Coolness Review: This book is cool. I love the way J.K. Rowling writes it's so awesome. The way she pieces everything together to make it fit is amazing! She has real talent and i could never put the book down i ended up finishing it in one night. This book is better than the first three and i guarentee you you'll fall in love w/ it after the first chapter!
Rating: Summary: J.K. Rowling has turned out yet another magical creation! Review: I recieved this book on July 8, the day it came out, andplanned to take a few days to read it. Well, I read it in 1 day, 8hours to be exact. It was that good. While the book is undoubtedly scary, it is hardly gruesome. Rowling also continues to provide her fans with more information about the Wizarding World under the influence of Lord Voldermort. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire has a plot full of twists and turns that Harry fans will not have expected, and the ending will leave you astonished and eagerly waiting for the fith book!
Rating: Summary: The tops, again! Review: A worthy, well-written companion to the first three, this year's chronicle of adventures at Hogwart's and elsewhere in the wizarding world makes for a fabulous reading experience. I laughed a lot more than usual (the HELF? Dressing Muggle?) and admired the subtle portrayal of the changes the young people are going through, much to their bewilderment. What a wonderful series!
Rating: Summary: awesome, to say the least Review: I LOVED this book. Instead of getting worse, as most series do, Harry Potter gets better and better. I tried so hard to save it, but ended up finishing it in a day. I deeply admire J.K. Rowling's ability to write. Everything that happens in her stories happens for a reason, and I enjoy how all of her separate storylines ends up combining in a spectacular way. You will never guess the ending in this book. It was a huge surprise for me, as were the endings to her previous books. Also, I swear that her characters seem so real that it's unreal. The only thing I hate about Harry Potter is that it always leaves you hanging. On to book 5!
Rating: Summary: Best book of the series Review: This book was the best one of the series. The best thing about it was that it wasn't as short as the other books were. It takes a little more times to read it and take in all of the information. Luckily, J.K. Rowling did not release too much information about this book. This book was way more exciting than the other books were. So many events happened in the 752 pages. I think that both children and adults will like this book. At least we now know why it took her so long to write it. I hope you enjoy it!
Rating: Summary: Parents! Read this with your children. You'll love it. Review: This book is fantastic. I read a lot of fantasy books, but this by far is the best children's fantasy book I have ever read. It keeps you anticipating what awesome thing is going to happen next and how is Harry going to deal with the situation. Some of the characters you love, some you love to hate, and some characters have you so confused that you don't know whose side they are really on. And Rowling's descriptions of people and places are so well done that you can just see the character or the place so vividly in your mind. This is a book for adults as well as children. For all of you parents who get tired of reading the same book over and over to your child, read a chapter or two of this book to him or her. For those who critisize the book because of the witches and wizards, remember this is a work of fiction...darn good fiction. For me, it has kept me wanting more. I was so sorry when I got to the last page. I wanted it to continue. I cannot wait for the next book. I hope the movie is going to be as good as the books have been. My son agrees, the Harry Potter books are wonderful. For the first time ever, my son enjoys reading.
Rating: Summary: More than fulfilled all expectations. Review: I just finished this book and all I can say is "WOW". This is easily the most complex of the books so far. It is also the longest. For some younger readers I would suggest reading the last couple chapters either with parents or in the bright light of day. Some parts of this book would not make good bedtime stories. I also suggest not rushing through the book. As I said, it is very complex and can be confusing if you get things messed up. Enjoy!
Rating: Summary: When does the next book come out! Review: As a college graduate, one might be surprised that the book I was waiting for most over the past few months was a so-called children's books. Well any Harry Potter reader knows of the mixture of plot twists, character and wonder the books contain, and this book is no exception, though it adds some slightly more adult elements and issues. I would be hurting your reading with any spoiling information... suffice it to say age 9 and up is an excellent reading level, and in the case of this series, "and up" is quite applicable... these books are for children and adults. Not enough praise. Solid solid read. You won't put it down.
Rating: Summary: The Hype is Real Review: Harry Potter IV, The Goblet of Fire, is everything you've come to expect from J.K. Rowling's awesome series and more. Don't be surprised to find the serpentine plot twists, friend-or-foe character examinations, and of course hilarious antics from the Weasley twins. You'll be entranced through all 734 pages- the only somewhat slow spot I found was the first chapter. Harry, Ron, and Hermoine are back, better than ever, and to come along on the wild ride- just grab the book already!
Rating: Summary: Out of this WORLD! Review: In my opinion, this is the best Harry Potter book yet! If you liked the previous books in this series, then get ready for a twisted and tantalizing story. This book is like the first three rolled into one! Non-stop action and .... even some mystery. I started it as soon as I got it, and couldn't put it down. Even if you don't like magic, I think you'll like this book.
