Summary: J. K. Rawlings at her finest
Review: Wow! My mom ordered me this book off of here after it was firsdt released on july 8th. I couldnt put it down AT ALL. There were soo many twists. I missed the Quiddich Matches, but there is a match in the beginning against Bulgarian and Ireland. Later after Harry and the Weasleys arrive at Hogwarts the mystery and adentures begin. There is a new Dark Arts teacher and You-Know-Who plays a major role within this book. Sirius returns and helps Harry to overcome obstacles. The triwizard competition plays a major part of Harry's 4th year. Theres a twist within that competition. There is a slight amount of romance in the story, but its merely a few crushes. Overall I loved the book and it doesnt feel like 734 pages at all.

Summary: Smart entertainment for kids and adults
Review: I am 27 years old, and I am just wild about Harry Potter. This is not an attempt to capture my lost youth, it is my unflagging love for a great story. Harry is all of the things that has been written about him: he is fun, whimsical, and all-around great, but there is more here than meets the adult eye. He is also complex, compelling and thought-provoking. This is proven most effectively in this fourth novel. This novel is denser in plot than most of the so-called "adult novels" I have read lately and richer in character than most of the weepies that Oprah has recommended in the last few months. We were all kids once, and we can all identify with Harry's early passage into puberty. Throw in a great mystery, the rich development of old friends (Harry and his friends are NOT static characters like most series I have read, they change and mature with each book) and you have a great, juicy read. Bottom line, folks, kids own Harry, but we can hop on and enjoy the ride.

Summary: Best Yet!
Review: Anyone who was lucky enough to get their hands on a copy of this book before it sold out was lucky! it is the best harry potter book yet, and in it we see harry growing up as well as a huge amount of excitment. it had daring plots, and it is so interesnting you wont put it down. i read the entire thing in one night, as i found that when i went to leave the book the plot was to exciting to leave and i had to continue reading. it is terribly sad in some parts, and in others funny. al i can say is that any fiction reader, young or old, has to read this as otherwise they really are missing something special.

Summary: GREAT, FANTASTIC, WONDERFUL!
Review: I have all 4 books I am 36 years old and let me tell you the latest installment just continues with the best reading quality for children.

With wonderful storytelling and imagination JK Rowling just keeps topping herself with each installment, although I am partial to the first book, this is just as good.

I won't give anything away here, but just to buy. Its a long one about 734 pages, but absolutely wonderful.

I was worried that JK Rowling would end up like Anne Rice just cranking out her novels so fast that they would lose there style....But not here.

I really don't want them to release a movie about Harry Potter, I am afraid it would ruin my own imaginative world that I have created in these books.

Buy it you won't be disappointed.

Summary: It's your friends who matter.
Review: This book really surprised me. I loved the first 3 books, but there wasn't this insane urge to rush out and buy the next one when it came out. Book 4, however, fixed that. When I finished it late last night, I immediately wanted to pick up the next one. This book is a departure from the other 3. The series has been getting slightly darker since book 1; but in this book, the darkness that is You-Know-Who really comes into play and of course Harry is left to deal with the ramifications.

This book had so many twists and turns that just drew me along with them. I didn't know who I was supposed to like and who I wasn't. And not all the webs have come unraveled. Now we have 2 more schools that will have to be reckoned with in the next 3 books. Also, there are secrets revealed whose effects will be felt in all the following books. However, Harry, with the help of Ron and Hermoine, Dumbledorf, Sirius and Hagrid, will be able to overcome them all.

Summary: If this isn't the best book ever, tell me!
Review: Wow. This book left me sitting in awe. I'll admit when I started reading I was nearly positive that it would either be Cho Chang or Hagrid that died, but I was wrong, Rowling has never failed to surprise me in these books when I think I have everything figured out. I'm now going to tackle some issues that came up with the book, so hang tight. I did not think that Voldemort could get any more evil, but I was wrong. He has risen again and he is more deadly than ever. I think that if I saw Wormtail (AKA Peter Pettigrew) I would attempt to take him down and make a Dementor kiss him. I mean come On, the guy killed Cedric Diggory in cold blood, he betrayed Harry's parents and got them killed. He just makes me angry. I am glad to see the darker, more horrific turn the series has taken in this book. I was afraid that it would become fun and fancy free and lose its edge, but with the way this awesome piece of literature ends, I say it is only going to get darker. The ending leaves me wanting more. Has Dumbledore severed all ties to the ministry? Is Sirius (my favorite character by the way) cleared? Is the great Remus Lupin to return to fight with them against Voldemort? Will the Malfoys get beaten by an angry mob? Am I losing my mind over this?

Well the only thing to do is read this for yourself and decide. Until next time when the Shadow of the Dark looms over us Muggles, I bid you adieu. - Tom McCord

Summary: Brilliant plot opens doors to sequels
Review: Rowling lives up to her tradition of making her books more exciting(not to mention longer) as the series goes along. Potter does not manage to defeat Voldemort quickly and easily as in the first and second books, but rather barely makes it away with his own life. The ending makes you want to start saving up for the fifth one, leaving off at a perfect place for a new adventure. This is the most desired boook among children since... well, since the third Harry Potter book! Rowling makes the magic world realistic with a blundering Ministry, a nasty press reporter, owl post, and "magic in everything from classes to meals". The plots can take unexpected turns with potions to transform into other people, Invisibility Cloaks, and lie-detecting Sneakoscopes. The tone of the book can vary from horrifyingly grim in he early part of the ending to light-heartedly funny during weekends (especially when the Weasly twins are around). Althoughy a tad slower than the others, the 734-page wait simply adds to the suspense and excitement of reading a book you've been waiting for all year. I finished whithin ten hours and wished it was 7000 pages instead. An excellent work of literature, and well worth the wait.

Summary: wonderful towards the end
Review: At the beginning, it started off kind of slow, but at the very end (about the last 50 pages), everything Harry went through and Dumbledore's speech at the end were really moving. But overall, this book doesn't have something that the previous books had. There was something forced about this book, it didn't flow as smoothly as the others did. Maybe J.K. Rowling was in a hurry to write it. But I think she could have made the book flow more smoothly and the number of pages less if she had maybe spent more time polishing it up. I loved book 3, it is by far, my favorite. I was a little disappointed with the fourth one, but once again, I'll say that the action and speech at the end were promising and I can't wait to get the 5th one. Oh, yeah, I'm 17 and I have to say that these books are undeniably better than a lot of the books written for teenagers or adults.

Summary: Another Awesome Harry Book!
Review: I LOVED this new Harry Potter adventure! It is so good! I can't keep my nose out of it and I can't wait to see the movies!

Summary: WHEN IS THE NEXT ONE COMING OUT?
Review: This is by far the best book I have read that has been written in the past 100 years. I feel that the the Harry Potter series will stand the test of time along other classics such as "David Copperfield" and "Alice in Wonderland". I feel that Rowling adjusts her style of writing to the increasing maturity of her characters thus bringing a demensionalism to them that makes me feel as if I knew them personally. I would recommend this book to a child or my 86 year old grandfather because it is a treat for the mind and the heart.
