Summary: J.K. Rowling does it again
Review: Oh my God! Again J.K. puts her readers under a spell. Why?Must these books be written sooooo far apart. I read this in 2 days, and stopped for nothing. My mom was getting mad at me, since I read right through dinner. If you've read the book already, you know why. This is probably the best book yet. FFilled with suspense, mystery, and sometimes tradegy, this book cast a spell over me, not allowing me yo put it down. I will admit, even I was scared. The ending is deffinatlly left open for another suspensful book, I've heard coming oyut July, 20001. Why? Why did I read it soooo fast. It's tooo goood to put down. I nned more Harry Potter!

Summary: THE BEST!
Review: This book was the BEST in the series so far. You need to figure out what special thing will happen at Hogwarts this year that hasn't happened in over 100 years! And what will become of Harry and Cho Chang? What about all of the elfs? Will they stick up for themselves like Hermoine wants them to? Find out when YOU read the book.

Summary: "Harry Potter" #4 delivers.
Review: As a fiftysomething librarian, I can say with authority that the "Harry Potter" phenomenon will be with us for the forseeable future. I just read #4 and I pronounce it excellent. Rowling was wise to go back to the delicious humor that livened up books one and two. #4 has terrific comic moments with Harry and his gang, house elfs (whom Hermione feels are oppressed), the angst of puberty (Harry reluctantly asks a girl to a dance), and Hagrid with his repulsive skrewts (creatures that you don't want to meet in a dark alley). I love the names that Rowling gives to all the people, the spells and the magical objects in her books. She creates a world of such wonder and imagination that people of all ages can't help but be entranced. This book is long, but it doesn't drag. The ending is complicated and somewhat violent, so parents should be forewarned. Rowling can't help but moralize a bit about prejudice (giants aren't all bad), the media frenzy (Rita Skeeter is a reporter who will do anything to get a story, even if the story is false). Read all the Potter books, enjoy them, and pass them on to your friends (of all ages)!

Summary: I think I need help...
Review: Hi everyone, my name is Sheila...and I am a Potter-holic.

I've been trying to overcome this problem over the last year or so, and I really was getting there. I hadn't touched a Potter book in over a month, not since I got several hits of The Prisoner of Azkaban (but it was worth every moment). But yesterday...I just couldn't resist. The book hit the shelves in Australia and the moment my hand touched it...I couldn't put it down. I couldn't repel the forces that bound me to it since I'm only a Muggle. JK Rowling, although she claims to be a Muggle like the rest of us, clearly isn't. She's cast a powerful spell over all of us - and I'm sure only Dumbledore could rival her power.

The one thing I don't like - is the fact that I'm going to have to wait, what will seem like an eternity, for the next installment! I bought the 4th book in the series yesterday and stayed up until early in the morning reading it...and the first thing I did when I woke up the next morning was finish it. And whatta book! Every single page was gripping.

I am yet another person outside the recommended age bracket - 19, to be exact, and I'm sure that most will agree that the recommended age should be changed!

I'm also happy that these books will influence a generation of children. We should all give Jo Rowling a big THANK YOU! Not only are kids turning off TV sets across the world, and putting down joysticks and reading (yes, really)...the books will reinforce values in children that are avid followers of Harry. He is courageous, values friendship above all else, resourceful, intelligent, non-judgemental, compassionate, goes out of his way to help others, and the list goes on...

This latest book is nothing short of amazing, and sets up the next 3 books to follow. It is much darker than the first 3, but I'm sure children will be able to stomach it. Death is a natural part of life. And bureaucracy is as well! The book develops many of the characters, explains a lot of things that were not explained previously, but there are also a whole heap of questions yet to be answered. I am personally interested in Snape, who is not as loathesome in this book, as he is in the first 3.

All in all, Jo Rowling has outdone herself again. Let's hope she bewitches her quill to make it write a little faster.... :)

Summary: A one of a kind book!
Review: I am an avid reader of books. The local librarians know me byname, and my library card is very frequently used! I especially lovefantasy books, and I thought I had read all the greats. That is, until I got my hands on the first Harry Potter book! I could not put it down, and went out and bought numbers two and three Along with all the rest of muggles, I avidly awaited book four. I had some preconceptions, but reading the book erased them immediatly. Clearly one of the most engrossing books ever written, I could not put it down!

Begginning darkly in a setting of Lord Voldemort's old home, along with Wormwood, concocting death for all that is good. Soon, the plot line travels to Harry, who dreams of Voldemort, and contacts Sirius, one of the most interesting characters in a tale with many vivid ones.

Harry travels to the quidditch world cup, where ron gets into some trouble with a veela, and learns looks are not everything, and onto one of the darker moments of the book, where it seems Lord Voldemort is reawakening.

When Harry returns to Hogwarts, he learns of the Tri-wizard tournament and is interested in the proceeding. However Harry is not keen on being in the competition, never expecting the effects it would have on his life.

Let us flash forward to the most hilarious part of the book when Ron finally figures out that Hermione, on of the few main girl characters in the book, is actually a girl, and gets madly jealous. The hilarity of it is, Ron himself has no idea he feels this way for Hermione, and Harry has to tell him!

There were many jokes in this book, but the ending was so extremely dark and unexpected as to totally make up for all the jokes. The villian was completely unexpected, as was the way the ending happened, and you are left waiting breathlessly for the fifth book!

Summary: The best thing since sliced bread
Review: Yes, you heard me. I'm 13 years old, and I've read all the Harry Potter books. I've liked them since I read the first few chapters of the first one. I've upheld my record of finishing all the books within 3 days... And I loved it. I couldn't put it down... I went to sleep reading it and woke up likewise. I believe this is the best Harry Potter book yet-- Full of surprises, action, and humor. I'm not quite sure what's so exciting about these books.. Maybe it's the fact that it tells in such detail things we can't do, with being Muggles and all. But whatever it is, this book is full of it. I recommend this book to everyone!

Summary: This One Needs SIX stars!
Review: This is the best one! I am one of the people AMAZON.COM upgraded to next day Fed Ex so I got my book on the 8th....and finished it on the 9th! This Harry Potter adventure starts and ends in action and delight! If you haven't read this series...get online and buy yourself a set! This is a stand alone novel, but it is much more fun knowing the people from Books 1,2, and 3! The characters are well drawn and fun to get to know better. The stories are always great, but the TriWizard Contest in this novel is outstanding! Harry has to deal with his Muggle relatives, his relationships with his best friends and worst enemies AND try to stop Valdemort from gaining power and destroying the good in the world! Whew--quite a job for a 14 year-old, but Harry and Rowlings are up to it. Buckle up and enjoy the ride!
