Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: An entire year's wait for the next one! Review: This fourth installment in the Harry Potter series is sure to leave readers as spellbound as the first three. Full of surprises and plot twists, it kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time I was reading - I stayed up all night reading it on July the 8th until I finished it at 7:30 the next morning, which I didn't even do for the other Harry Potter books. And just when I thought the action was over - and almost trembling from the, for lack of a better word, scary, action, I might add - I got another shock. I won't tell you what it was, but Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire was definitely one of the best books I've ever read. However, it left even me frightened and depressed, and I've been reading R. L. Stine's Fear Street since I was eight years old. Goblet of Fire, while still something of a children's book (albiet a long one) would not be the best book to read to a nightmare-prone 6-year-old. The "big scary part," as someone I know called it once, was actually one of the things that made it such a good book, though. I would definitely recommend this book and I regret that I can only give it five stars.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: READ READ READ! Review: For anyone debating whether to read these books, READ them! If nothing else excites you, the imagination of J K Rowling and her ability to fire up young readers should. Harry's adventures should remind all of us that our minds are our most wonderful gift and to USE them for more than vegetating in front of a TV screen! Buy the books! Enjoy an adventure! Read them to your kids and grandkids! You will never regret it.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Young or Old, you will LOVE this book! Review: I thought this book was filled with imaganation and daring adventures. J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire is, I personally think better than the others. The Harry Potter books get better every time and this book is the best yet!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: A worthy sequel Review: Harry Potter continues his adventures in the wizarding world in this fourth volume. He faces ever more dangerous foes, and has adventures beyond anything dreamt of in the first three. I read it in three days and then again in two. Fun and exciting -- although I wouldn't give it to my 7 year old kid for a couple more years, it can get pretty intense. The characters are growing up nicely! Rowlings demonstrates that she remembers everything about being a teenager. Highly recommended for 9-year-olds on up!
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: The wizarding world has no common sense? Review: Well, Enother Book another Five stars but me on the other hand will make in exception. A great book but with some flukes muggles could catch. Like always Harry is the hero, winning it all. But this time there a twist .... no it's no ordanairy twist, its the most stupied twist of all! that even a muggle could catch in the year Harry was there, J.k dont give that stuff that Dumbledore didn't know...C'mon.Well anyways I read this book in two days and theirs 734 pages so there had to be good parts.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Utterly Amazing! Review: Rowling has done it again! While a thick children's book seems absurd, it is much needed in this absolutely thrilling novel. Children are usually brought upon 'happily ever after' stories, but this book changes that in every way. Darkness is thrown into the book greatly, a much needed resurrection of Lord 'You-Know-Who' and the awesome descriptions of his evil actions. I love how Rowling secures the reader by using enticing imagery of scenery, pain, and magic. I also thank Rowling for creating a character so much like me! No doubt this book is the best out of all 4 of the series so far. This book is a must buy for readers of all ages!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: A little deeper, still a great book Review: As Rowling warned before this book was published, #4 is quite a bit "darker" than the previous three. It has some scenes that can only be described as darker. Even so, I think this book is every bit as good (if not better than) as the other books. Book 4 still has the laughs and the details that have made this series great. The size of this book, if anything, is an asset. It took me, a 13 year old, nearly a day (including stops for eating, etc.) to finish this book instead of the one to two hours of the previous books. It leaves you inside Harry's world for a much longer time. I'm not saying anything about the plot because you have to read it for yourself. I will, however, tell you that this is one book you will not want to miss.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Alleluia! It's here! Review: This book is fantastic! It's funny, suspenceful, and hard to put down! One night I ended up staying awake till 1:00 a.m. reading it! But,... for people that haven't read the first three books, don't read this one first, because you won't understand some of the plot and characters. But it's still the best book in the world! Go Harry Potter!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Absolutely Fabulous Review: This fourth book in the series of sever Harry Potter stories was absolutely the best! I couldn't put it down! When I was finished I almost cried, I want the story to go on. I never wanted it to end!
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: long time waiting Review: I'm a reading teacher and have introduced my students to Harry Potter. I enjoyed reading J.K. Rowling's latest novel,I must admit that it was difficult to put down. The one thing I had a problem with in this novel is the dialect that she chose for Winky the house elf. Granted, Rowling was drawing parrallels between slavery and house elfs but did she have to make Winky sound like Scarlett's slave girl from "Gone with the Wind?" The house elf Dobby didn't sound like this. It is difficult to get my culturally diverse students excited about a book that displays cultural diversity in a negative way, with it's house elves (slaves).
