It is also the longest. My father traslated the french wortds for me (Beauxbatons- Bu-ba-ta, Fleur-flower,and Delacour-decoration). I think the cover art is the best ever.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Amazing! Review: J.K. Rowling's fourth novel is amazing. After three previous novels, one may ask if a fourth is likely to be repetitive. The answer is no. The fantastic and deepening plot revealed in this novel, coupled with Harry(and his maturing), are irresistable! read it!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: One Mom Says Wait Review: My 12 and 14 year-old children loved it. My husband and I loved it. Readers all over the world loved it. But I firmly believe our recent 10 year-old will appreciate it more if he waits a year or two. Will I stop him from trying? No. He will enjoy much of the book and wants to keep up with his siblings. But this fourth book is much more complicated and disturbing, more frightening and grotesque, more gory and eerie than anything my 10 year-old has experienced on screen or between the pages. I am an English teacher and believe in challenging children's limits for reading levels and experiences. My son will not be harmed if he finishes the book, but he will probably be quite perplexed and more than a little scared. He will probably work on reading it, but we won't press him, and he may be daunted by the page length. SO, if you're a mom wondering whether to get this for a 10 year old or younger, you might hold off. There's always next year.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Not just another sequel Review: I hadn't read the first 3 books in a while, so I was glad to see that all the wizarding terms and allusions to the past were explained. Although I highly recommend reading the series in order, I think this book can read alone and, not only be understood, but highly enjoyed. Even if you have read others, this book is still a discovery, with new, fascinating characters and plot twists. The book is a little darker than the first three, but it makes reading it all the more suspenseful. You don't KNOW that everything ends happily. You just keep on reading and hoping that it does.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Accio 4th and best yet! Review: From the opening chapter set in Voldemort's (yeah that's right, I'm brave enough to say his name even though I am a Muggle!) father's old house, to the final chapter on the Hogwarts Express, I laughed, felt suspense, wondered, got shocked, got angered (in a good way, see below), and when I finished I looked at it and said "that thing was 734 pages?" Rowling must have learned the spell mentioned in The Chamber of Secrets (the one where Ron talks of a bewitched book that you can never stop reading) because I cannot put this thing down, even though I finished it well over 2 weeks ago! All of the characters are perfect. Being Harry's age myself, I can relate to every situation he faces. When he asks Cho Chang to the ball, I know the fear and nervousnes that is felt in him; when he is frustrated competing with Cedric Diggory, I know the almost hatred and dislike he feels; when Malfoy is, well being Malfoy, I know the anger and true hatred he feels (I still cannot believe that he has not been ambushed and beaten unconscious with bars of soap in socks or something). Rowling is truly a gifted writer to touch all of my senses in this literature masterpiece, you will never even notice that this book is 734 pages long (poor Mitch Albom, I guess he won't be able to finish it). So, what are you waiting for, buy it now! Well until next time that the Dark Lord, who's name is whispered in shadows shall strike, I remain- Tom "Siamese Dream" McCord
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: The Goblet of Fire: Another Read-Aloud Winner Review: The fourth installment of the Harry Potter Series is another perfect read-aloud hit. While pre-reading it (after all, Harry is a mid-teenager, now), I laughed aloud several times. From the Quidditch match to the serious end, the evolution of the characters, motion of the action, and puns keep the book hard to put down.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Deserves the Hype! Review: With the media blitz and the inevitable commercialization of this series, I worried that the fourth book would be good but not as inspired as the first three. I was happy to see I was wrong. Awesome book! While I loved reading about the hijinks at the castle and the Quidditch matches, it was great to see Rowling enlighten the reader about the larger wizarding world and the very real issues in it. It seems that as Harry gets older the language matures and the world becomes bigger. Yes, I'm one of those adult fans of this series, there is only one other fantasy series that compares and that would be the Chronicles of Narnia by CS Lewis and to be in that league is pretty special. Rowling's imagination hasn't faded at all, only improved, can't wait for the fifth book!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: The best book ever, bring on #5! Review: This has to be one of the best books I have ever read (the other 3 being the other Harry Potters). I read over half of it in one day because I couldn't put it down. There are more surprises at every turn of the page. I own all 4 of the Harry Potter books, and they are the best books I have ever read. Even though it was 734 pages, when I got to the end, I wanted it to be longer. Anyone who buys this book will have made a very good purchase, it's worth the money. You will be very happy with your purchase, take it from me, I am. I would tell you a little about the book, but I don't want to give away anything. Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: The best Harry Potter book yet Review: I thoroughly enjoyed the book. J.K. Rowling's best work to date. It's a book you will have trouble putting down. It's not too often you'll read 734 pages in 4 days. Rowling keeps the action coming and still leaves enough room at Hogwarts for 3 more books!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Harry Potter # 4 Review: This one was the best of the four written so far. I thought it had more of a story to it than the first three which had a lot more explaining. I recommend it to anyone, any age.
