Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: Another success Review: J.K. Rowling has another success on her hands. There were onlya few problems with the book. The biggest one was that I found itextremely predictable. A lot of the "surprises" I figured out far too early. The shock was gone. Also, some of the subplots were grossly under-developed. I hope she continues some of them in her following books. All in all, this book is terrific. Kudos!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Best of the lot! Review: With just the right balance of thrills and fun, this book is incredible. It's one of those books that's very long but is never boring - things happen all the way through and unexpected twists are sprinkled throughout. You won't want to put it down! Plus the ending opens up many more possiblities for books 5, 6, and 7 - but I'll say no more and let YOU find out what happens! No matter what age you are or what genre of books you typically read, you should read this book!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Harry Potter and The Goblet Of Fire Review: This book is the best one yet. J.K. Rowling is unbeliveable in this one. In the book,Harry goes to the Quidditch World Cup,accompained by the Weasleys and Hermione Granger. At Hogwarts,he finds trouble awaiting him (as usual:)). The Triwizard Tournument is being held at Hogwarts this year, and Harry's name unexpectedly is pulled out of the Goblet of Fire. ...I'll leave the rest for all of you to find out.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: How did Rowling do it? Review: I don't know what the author did, but she got my attention. Any book with this much excitement in it should be given a ten-star rating. This is most likely the only book I've ever stayed up till 4:30am reading, and considering the fact that I don't read for fun that much any more it's amazing. If you haven't read this book, get it from Amazon now (it's the cheapest price on the net-40% off). Broke? Sign up for the waiting list at your library. I haven't seen one rating without good marks.
Rating: ![3 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-3-0.gif) Summary: Still fun, but not quite up to par Review: For the first 635 pages or so, I was absolutely enthralled with this book. Like the others, the fourth installment includes wonderful magical creatures, incredibly descriptive scenes, and great mystery. The last several chapters are dedicated to explaining the mysteries created within the book. In the past, Rowling has dazzled me with how well she could tie the plot together. This time however, I was not as impressed. It seemed more like a bad Scooby Doo ending - the solutions to the mysteries felt contrived, more like trickery than good writing. The ending also leads one to question the purposes of some of the plots content. I will admit, whether some of the content had purpose or not, it was still a great joy to read. In the end however, this book does not hold up to the others in terms of literary quality.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Great, but you'll definitely pounce on Year 5. Review: This book was certainly darker than the rest of them. I won't say who dies for obvious reasons, but I was shocked. I almost cried. You're thinking, "Wait, she's not serious, they'll bring him/her back!" and meanwhile, they're dead. Snape's past is confirmed. Hermione becomes attractive (for one night) Ron and Harry have conflicting opinions, the first dance is held, an underage wizard gets into the Triwizard Tournament (coughHarrycough) and much more happens. It's a good book, and you won't be able to put it down. I know I wasn't. I read the thing in four hours (734 pages! I stayed up till one am, though. ^^;;;), and the end was unsatisfying to the point of disgust. My father was raging over that, when he finished. Ms. Rowling is obviously enjoying teasing her readers. We'll have to wait at least a year for the next one, and meanwhile everyone will be dying of suspense. ^_- It was great, though. Thirty-seven chapters of suspense, intrigue, and a large dose of humor. Read it.
Rating: ![3 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-3-0.gif) Summary: Very Dissapointed Review: I was really dissapointed! I think having the first three books be a major hits she rushed through the fourth one. Yeah...It's long but it's filled with lots of unnessesary information! The book never really ended like the other ones...I didn't like that. A lot of parts were confusing also...I think she could of done a lot better and put a lot more action in there.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Spooky, humorous, and up to snuff... Review: Before the release of GoF, I was scared the book would not make expectations, or be somewhat boring after all the attention and publicity. It was better than I could have dreamed. And with the invention of several new twists in characters (Death Eaters, the mystery about Snape, etc...) it leaves the same bit of curiosity about that next book. So what is it now? About three hundred and fifty days til number five? (Oh well...)
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Goblet is the BEST! Review: This book is the best book I have ever read! The end is- well, I never expected this to happen so soon. The 734 pages are most definetly worth it. If you read this review and decide to write one, would you please not give anything important away like some reviews have.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Better and Better Review: Rowling's books just keep getting better and better. Each book in the Harry Potter series takes the characters to a new level. They continually become more complex and interesting. One of the things that I love about these books is the development of the teachers as integral characters. Each book introduces a new and interesting - sometime frightening and sometimes entertaining - teacher. Meanwhile, the returning teachers grow in their depth. I am constantly wondering if Professor Snape is truly evil or if he has more good hiding inside him than I would guess. The Triwizard Tournament was a fascinating twist to the usual Quidditch Cup and gave the reader new ideas to ponder, as well as exanding the world of wizards and witches beyond the realms of Howarts. While some might want to be warned that this book is more frightening than some of the previous episodes, readers ready for the adventure will be more than rewarded for their efforts. This is a truly wonderful read.
