Rating: Summary: The best one yet Review: Except for being really really long and heavy, this is the best of the Harry Potter books to date. The story is engaging and the characters have grown from the children they were in the 1st book. Ms. Rowling's imagination amazes me. The detail she brings to this parallel world is phenomenal. I stayed up late several nights because I just could not stop reading. My only qualm would be reading this to small children. There are some truly terrifying parts of the book (even to an adult like me) and some situations that seem to me to be inappropriate for children under 10 or so. My recommendation to parents would be to read ahead of your child so that you can prepare them for some of the more difficult and scary parts. You know your child and know what they can and cannot handle as far as death and terror go, but be cautious of just reading to a small child. As a child, this book would have caused me nightmares. But with that said, I think with proper parental input and encouragement any child would enjoy the action, excitement, friendships, and lessons from this marvelous book.
Rating: Summary: The Best one of all Review: The Goblet of Fire was the best book of the books yet. I recomend it for all ages, I was a little over whelmed with the size of it, but as soon as you get into it, it is great!
Rating: Summary: The BEST! Review: The Harry Potter series are great. I haven't read the 4th one yet, but from what I've heard from other people it's really great. Each book becomes more interesting than the previous one, which just makes the reader more excited. All I can say is, you better read the Harry Potter series!
Rating: Summary: Absolutely unbelievable! Review: I think this book deserves 20 stars! I've not enjoyed a book like this for a very long long time. Reading it reminds me of the first time I ever laid my hand on a book. Those who don't like this book should turn in their membership to the human race!
Rating: Summary: Fantastic read for all ages! Review: I bought the complete series of Harry Potter books 2 weeks to go to check out what all the hype was about. Well, I've finished them all and I have to advise you that they are a simply excellent, un-put-downable read! No matter what age you are you will enjoy these books. If you ever read Enid Blyton's Magic Faraway Tree, I can assure you that these books are along the same lines. Many people have asked do you need to read all four - all I can say to that is if you don't you'll miss out on a lot of fun and adventure. Hopefully, J.K. Rowling is working on number 6 as we speak - can't wait! READ THEM!
Rating: Summary: The Best Harry Potter Book Out Yet Review: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is the best Harry Potter book out yet. If this one is darker I hate to see the reviews for the next one where the death eaters are reunited with Voldermort. This one was sadder than the others as well and In the last couple of chapters i was bawling my eyes out. Harry Potter is entered into the Triwizard Tournament by an unknown wizard, who is appartently trying to kill him in which he almost succeds but once again Harry survives with the help of his friends. I can't wait till the next Harry Potter book.
Rating: Summary: Great! Review: JK Rowling just seems to get better in every book! with Harry's romantic adventure beginning as well as his adventure with the Goblet of Fire it's a book you want to get. Hermione is busy with schoolwork as always but in this book she is cooler than ever. Ron starts having Less family troubles though their money is still a problem. you finally get to meet Charlie and Bill Weasley. And of course Voldemort is back. See you at the Quiditch World cup! and have Fun!
Rating: Summary: How Good Does It Get Review: I really enjoy the books in this series, and it almost seems as though JK Rowling couldn't write a bad book. I stayed up late to go out to buy the book, and had to immediately start reading it. I finished it in less than 10 hrs (despite having to pursue the activites of everyday life) and am now reading it, chapter by chapter to my daughter, aged 7. She is really enjoying it too! I LOVED it!
Rating: Summary: Harry Potter is captivating for all ages Review: I am a junior in high school and read the first Harry Potter book at the request of a relative. I was immediately entralled by the book's mesmerizing story. Unlike many of the books I read now for school, and even for my own enjoyment, Harry Potter was light and a delicious treat for my reading senses. Each book is better than the last, daring the reader to enter Harry Potter's world. I was almost overwhelmed by the size of The Goblet of Fire, but found it to be a book I could not put down. This book can be an enjoyment for any age as something incredibly fresh and exciting. I give it my highest reccomendation.
Rating: Summary: The Ultimate in fantasy stories Review: I have read all 4 harry potter books in their entirety and this by far is the best! Im killing myself over the next book asking myself questions like what will it be about and who will be entering hogwarts next or which teacher will betray him this year i cant believe i have to wait till next summer for the 5th:(
