Rating: Summary: Great Book Review: This was a great book, it ended up being so good I finished it in 3 days! It's just like J. K. Rowling to produce such a great book. All four Harry Potter Book's had a really interesting twist. Everybody I know thinks so too! She makes the book totally unpredictable, thats what made so interesting. I wouldn't fault her on ANYHING! This is a great book! It brought fantasy into our boring world. She has now made reading fun!
Rating: Summary: Swearing is BAD Review: I gave the book "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire" 4 stars because of the Vicious, Nasty, and Crude swearing. Other than that it was a FANTASTIC book and it was the best book I ever read except for her other books because they didn't have swearing.
Rating: Summary: I wish you could give more than 5 stars! Review: This is the best one of the series! The end is soooooooooooo creepy. And poor Cedric.......I really liked him. WOW! This book is amazing! If you haven't read it, you must. I was finished by the 9th, that's how much I liked it. (I guess you all know it came out on the 8th!) And I didn't even go to one of those midnight bookstore parties. I heard an interview w/ JKR and she said that "this is just the beginning of the deaths". Oh noo! :-) I hope Harry and Cho end up getting together.
Rating: Summary: A great roller coaster ride Review: As an adult I wanted to see what all the hype was about. I'm glad that I found out. The Potter books are excellent. The fourth book is much darker than the other three but I think it reflects how life changes as Harry gets older. The book may not be suitable for children under nine since some of the situations may be frightening. Rowling weaves a wonderful tale and one really hates to leave Hogwarts at the end of each book. Waiting for Vol 5 eagerly. I listened to the 4th one on audio it is excellent, atmospheric and made me sit in my car to catch just a few more minutes .....
Rating: Summary: Worth it's "wait" in gold! Review: I stood in line outside of a bookstore at midnight, the very first minute of July 8, 2000. I was there for the new release of "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire" and I was determined to get my hands on a copy. At the age of 18, I looked very out of place standing amongst the 7 and 8 year olds and their parents, but my sister, 15, and I are avid Harry Potter fans. We ran home, each clutching our VERY own copy of the book, and read until we both fell asleep at 3 a.m. This book is my favorite of the first four. It is emotional, well written, exciting, and a non-stop read. I read the entire book from start to finish in 27 hours, and that included one 4-hour night of sleep and being forced to tape X-Files. It does not matter what age you are, these books are not exclusively for children. My father, who is close to 50, stood in line for a copy! The characters are complex and very real. The humor is wonderful and the details make everything seem as if it is floating in front of you as you read through the pages of the novel. You feel, along with Harry, his joy, frustration, fear and sorrow throughout the entire book. Things are explained from previous years and new information is revealed. The ending leaves questions to be answered in the last three books. This book definately made me THINK during the reading and when I finished it. I cannot wait for book five and I will GUARANTEE you that I will stand outside of ANY bookstore at ANY hour for another dose of Harry Potter.
Rating: Summary: It Gets Better Review: ....The long wait was worth it. This book is excellent and I'm glad thebook was so long, because it was wonderful knowing that there wasstill a way to go before I was finished. Rowling is at her descriptivebest. She introduces us to other wizarding schools, makes us think about the rights of house-elves who seem to be happy with no rights whatsoever, and the first ball at Hogwarts. Harry, Ron and Hermione are going through the inevitable adolescent blues. Harry has a crush Cho who likes Cedric, Ron is jealous of Harry as he feels Harry always is in the limelight while he has to be content being only Harry's friend and Hermione is the apple of a famous Quidditch plyer's eye. We wonder whether Ron and Hermione will ever date each other. At the same time, Voldemort is becoming more powerful.... Rowling's style has dicreetly become more mature to suit the the age of the characters of her book. This book has a more universal appeal and older children will definitely read it. I can't wait for the next book.
Rating: Summary: Great Book, but Will the Media Ruin It? Review: First of all, I have to say that I loved this book. It was just asimaginative as the first three, maybe even more so. I loved the newcharacters, as well as the continuation of others, especially Dobby the House Elf. However, I have to wonder what will happen to the series once the media is through with it.... The only advice I have is for you to read the book, don't see the movie, refuse to buy the upcoming Harry Potter umbrellas, continue to be amazed by J.K. Rowling's wonderful writing style, and get on with your life.
Rating: Summary: A Great Ironic Story Review: I loved this book! It was by far the best Harry Potter yet. It really isn't that long for you who are freaked about reading a 734 page book. I read it in about 4 days. You can't stop reading it. The irony at the end of the story makes it even better. So I recommend you read this book. IT'S GREAT!
Rating: Summary: J.K. Rowlings produces another WINNER! Review: Harry Potter fans will love Book 4. The story has a lot of twist and turns to keep you going through the 734 pages. With new characters and many exciting adventures, this book is a must read. My son and I are reading the series together and we love it.
Rating: Summary: Exellent! Review: What else can anyone say? Except, BRRRILLIANT! All of JK Rowling's Books are fantastic but I would say HP Book 4 is the best in the world. I have heard that the fact is that Book 4 is the world's most fastest seller! Waiting for Book 5!
