Summary: Another perfect score for JK Rowling!
Review: Another perfect score for JK Rowling. Well. It was worth the wait. Harry Potter is back at his "mischevious" ways. But is someone out to kill Harry again? Harry, Ron, and Hermione are officially teenagers now. They've finally started to notice people from the opposite gender. But are they in love with the right people? Harry's life seems to take a turn for the worst after his name comes out of the Goblet of Fire. Nobody will beleive that Harry didn't enter himself into the TriWizard Tournament. Not even Ron beleives him, which gets them into a very long quarrel. But some of the people that are very well liked by different readers are dieing. One of whom is vastly over rated. Not that I don't like them of course. If your thinking about reading it, you really should. Don't get left behind. Follow the trend and read it, or you'll deffinetaly get left out.

Summary: Well work the 5 months on pre-order!
Review: I am just amazed at J.K. Rowling's continually awesome imagination. I was hoping, after counting down the days from when I preordered it in February, that I wouldn't be disappointed from hyping myself up too much. I should have known all along that the book would be as entertaining and magical as the first three. Harry starts to do a lot of growing up in this book. I wish the series had come out when I was at a similar age as Harry, because I think that Ms. Rowling has a wonderful knack at portraying the trials of early adolescence and classmate rivalry. But the most important point is that one doesn't have to be a young adult to love the books. I find myself calling mean people 'muggles'in place of less nice phrases, and wishing that I could use Summoning Charms when I am too lazy to get off the couch to get a ringing phone. I can't give enough stars to these books and can't wait for the fifth book!

Summary: One of the Best Yet
Review: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire was one of the best books I've read in a LONG time. Though its thickness (734 or so pages) might scare some people away, it was definatly worth the wait! As soon as I get it I read it from beginning to end for nine hours, with only breaks to eat. I stayed up till 3 am on July 9th! Anyway, I liked it especially because it got away from the normal routine of Harry's life. The book opened in midsummer, and Harry didn't immediatly go back to Hogwarts, he did some other things first. And the normal routine of Hogwarts life is interuppted in mid October... But I won't spoil the plot. As Harry and his friends mature, the nature of the books mature. Goblet of Fire is darker than the preceding three, and though it has a happy ending, there is a death, and a startling conclusion that will drastically change many many events in the books to come. I can't wait for Book Five, due out July 2001!

Summary: This guy thinks it was wonderful!
Review: I was a second grade teacher last year and am going to be the school media specialist next year. I love these books. I am taking classes for my masters and would read Harry after I finished my homework. I actually didn't go to bed one night. It made for an interesting following day! I could go on and on about the positive points but I won't. The book is not for all. However, for the first time in pop cultural history, the buzz is well deserved.

Summary: The Best Books I have Ever Read
Review: Wow! I don't even know where to begin. I am not going to give you a summary because you have to read this book from cover to cover by yourselves. What happened was I first bought the second book first and could not even put it down. As soon as I finished I quickly ordered the 1st, 3rd and 4th books. I could not even fall asleep, when I didn't finish a book because I was to eager to wake up in the morning and start again. Ever since I five years old I always loved books about magic and creatures. These books have all of that. From the time Harry is introduced to the time he discovers he is a wizard, to the time he discovers that his evil nemisis, who killed Harry's parents is getting his power back, ALL of it is just great. I higly recommend all four of these books and i can't wait for the next one.

Summary: What A book
Review: It was such a good book, long wait, though, but in the end it made up for the wait. Once I started this book, I couldn't put it down.In the way that it turned out, it took brilliance, which J.K. Rowling has. The plot was perfect, the action was perfect, I think of the four Potter Books, this one is the best. She could not have made the book any better. Wow, what a book

Summary: overly hyped, gloomy, and a tad boring
Review: I received the newest Harry Potter in the mail the day before my vacation and took it along to read. Never read it on the trip, but spotted lots of Harry Potter fans reading this and the other books. Read it finally, found it to be pretty good, but a little boring in spots. Also it is much darker than the first three books, and the ending sets us up for a dark and gloomy sequel. I don't know if I like that, but I supposed I'll continue to read the books anyway.

Summary: This was GREAT
Review: This book held my attention right to the very end! Yes I know tons of people say that about books but with this on it is soooooo true! I will try to tell you somethings, but I don't want to give it away. Also this book is so much better if you have read the other Harry Potter books. First of all after Harry spent another horrible summer with the Dursley's, but this year it is better because first of all Dudley is on a DIET secondly Harry gets to go to The Quidditch World cup ( Quidditch is a game played on broom sticks). Back at hogwarts ( a school for young witches and wizards) we get a new defense agianst the black arts teacher, "madeye" moody, also there is a new thig going on at hogwarts it is called a Triwizard Tournament! Now that is all I am going to tell you anything else except ( he who must not be named) hope this was helpful!

Summary: Best thing since The Phantom Tollbooth
Review: Fantastico! This scrumptious novel carried a certain "charm" to it that made it impossible to put down! I am an 8th grader and my high school brothers and I had quite an argument on who would get to read it first, and an all-important "paper-rock-scissors" tournament was initiated. I won! Although there was a lack of the sport "Quiditch", the book was easily as good as the first three, if not better. I thoroughly enjoyed sitting in my hammock and slowly absorbing the magic of this book, in spite of my brother's naggings to "read it faster!"

Summary: Loved this book to death!
Review: ... The best HP book yet, the Goblet of Fire introduces new characters, such as the ex-auror Mad-Eye Moody, who takes up the Defence against the Dark Arts job, and the horrible Daily Prophet reporter, Rita Skeeter. The book is based on a mysterious event at Hogwarts that hasn't happened in over a hundred years, and, alas, Lord Voldemort. With J.K. Rowling's usual twist of zany humor, rich descriptions, and a surprise ending "The Beginning" it's no wonder this book has leapt to the best seller list.ve knowen about.HARRY POTTER ROCKS!ome even closer friends. Here's to book 5!t for number five to come. I want to see what Voldemort will do with power. Goblet of Fire is the most wonderful, breathtaking, upsetting book yet.ese horrible people? Harry ultimately recognizes the fallacy in such behavior. I just hope that the kids reading this book will be able to understand just as well.ikely grow in wisdom and comprehension. And he will not be alone in that path; in this book, the figures of Ron, Hermione, Dumbledore, Hagrid and so many others become more fundamental and close. Harry is not a solitary hero, he is in fact the center of a community full of ethical values, frienship and heart-warming solidarity. A world confronted with evils that are somehow the mirror image of some troubles on our day to day world.

The reader of all ages will find material for fun and though on this book, a classic on its own, beyond any literary critic.of the reading audience. It was nice to see less of the Dursleys, the Muggle family who raised Harry, because they were rather one-dimensional and predictable. Professor Dumbledore's role becomes more and more clear, as do the roles of some of the other Professors. However, there is a bit of fat in the story that could be cut. A sub-plot involving house-elves never really generated steam. The political correctness of it felt a bit out of place. The Quidditch action here isn't quite as captivating as it was in Prisoner of Azkaban. In the end, a very satisfying read, though it took about twice as long. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire answers quite a few questions, but poses so many more. It is a fitting midpoint for the series, and dutifully sets up the remaining 3 (according to Rowling) books. It works along the same lines as a certain episode in the Star Wars series. However, I would not recommend jumping straight into Goblet of Fire without reading the first 3 books, as readers of the entire will be richly rewarded with the various references and nods in GoF. --This text refers to the Hardcover edition
