Rating: Summary: Wow Review: That is one, simple, one syllabled word that describes Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. Wow. Not only did I finish all 733 pages in under 12 hours, I enjoyed every second of it. This book has lived up to the standards set by the preceding Harry Potter books. The book was everything I hoped it to be. It was fun, enjoyable, with many signature Harry Potter twists in plot, and I really enjoyed it. This is my favorite Harry Potter book along with book number 3. Both of those books were simply amazing. The thing that impresses me the most about the books is that J.K. Rowling makes every book either better or just as good as the preceding book. These books are so good, you couldn't help but think that she used a bit of "magic" herself.
Rating: Summary: EXCELENT! Review: This book is really good. It is fun of unexpected twists and turn. Once you think you have things figured out some thing else happens to totally blow your theory of what might be going on way off. I couldn't put it down. It's not as scary as everyone says it is though. I think J.K. Rowling has a great imagination and I can't wait for the next one.
Rating: Summary: Fun for all ages Review: My children and I sat together and took turns reading all four books out loud. Book four only took us three days! Laughter is infectious, especially when that child is rolling on the floor. My teenagers aren't the only ones recommending others to read them. One of my kids has read each of the first three books 3-5 times, I'm afraid they will wear out! Have a good read.
Rating: Summary: Harry Potter Returns! Review: J.K. Rowling, she is getting better every time! Each one of her Harry Potter books get better and better! I would recommend this book to everyone who loves fantasy and make-believe, adults too, if they are into those things. So get reading!
Rating: Summary: Harry Potter And the goblet of fire Review: A warning to all new readers as soon as you pick this up, it won't go down tell it's done. Harry Potter has captured the eyes of young readers from Germany to Canada and all children have the same response "When can I get the next one?". Harry Potter is a book I will always be reading to my Sisters, then My Children, And then my grandchildren. Thank you JK Rowling for writing such a wonderful series.
Rating: Summary: I loved this book! Review: Hi hi hi! I really, really loved "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire." It was scary in parts but even more exciting than the other ones. It was a big book but I couldn't put it down! My favorite character is Hermione because she is very, very smart. Well, I have to go now, and read it again.
Rating: Summary: Year Five, The Best Yet Review: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is a wonderful book. Although it changes dramatically since the other three books, without the Quiditch playing but the three school tournament, there is a new kind of excitement at Hogwarts. In this book, Harry shows strong qualities of Braveness, trust, detirmination, friendship, and many more, which are all important characteristics for a young adult to have. I think that while reading about a fun topic with exciting events, all the while demonstrating these good qualities, that this book is not only the best story line of a book, but has a good backround story too. While all of the Harry Potter Books are magnificent, this one really gives the reader a wonderful experience reading and getting caught up in the magical world. The suspense in these books are amazing. For example. I could not put them down... I read the first three books in a day for each of them, and the fourth year book in only two days. The suspense can take over you so you just keep reading and reading. I think that in a few years or more, Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, Ron Weasley, and all of their companions, will be part of a classical book gone down in history with the most famous books in our time. I reccommend this book to everyone, along with all the other Harry Potter novels.
Rating: Summary: Two Thumbs Up for Harry! Review: Whoa! What is it with these books? Half the earth's entire population ( including me) loves them! These are the most popular books in years. Kids, why sit around wathing Pokemon and other junk when you can read these? How can people say these books are evil, of all things! It's a STORY, people, a STORY! A story that gets both adults and kids more than interested. Harry Potter #4 is as good, if not better, than the rest. The book begins with Harry going to the Quidditch ( correct spelling?) World Cup( after a somewhat easy struggle with the Durselys). Strange things happen there, including an appearrance of Voldemort's special signal. This confirms Harry's fear that Voldemort is getting powerful, an idea he gets from a strange and quite realistic dream. Harry Potter learns a very exciting, although disapointing, tidbit when he arrives at Hogwarts School. A tournament is to be held against two other magic schools, and only anyone seventeen and older can compete. Many things happen as Harry struggles through his fourth year at Hogwarts, good and very bad. I like the little details, like Rita Skeeter's articles, Cho Chang, and Harry seeing memories of Dumbledore. And readers are definitly in for a surprise at the very last few chapters. I don't want to ruin that surprise. The plot of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is amazingly well contrtructed and moves along very fast. There is no one I wouldn't reccomend this book to. I can find no faults. Buy it fast, if you haven't already.
Rating: Summary: Good but.............. Review: This Harry Potter book #4 was very good but was a little too long when compared to actual substance there. There is some inconsistint information (see Unofficial Harry Potter Website - book 4 mistakes)and the entire(or at least most)of the Quidditch match could have been dropped. The clues were too subtle and often didn't make much sense. Also, it spent too much time being PC(politically correct). As a student who loves these books and is a great fan (with a 12.9 reading average, by the way)I did like it but those who were too young didn't seem to like it in our area. All ages could enjoy the first three books, but this book made kids unexcited about future works by this author. None of my friends gave up -we got through it- but their brothers and sisters couldn't seem to get excited about this book. I am a seventh grader and am still awaiting the next book. I RECCOMEND THIS BOOK DESPITE THE FOLLOWING.
