I am 15 years old (although it may not sound that weird) and I still loved it! I started reading these books at the beginning of the year and have been hooked on them ever since! I was overy excited when this book came out. I was into it the whole way. It is packed with all of the usual surprises. I can't wait for the next book in the series to come out!! ( so if J.K. Rowling reads this, please let me know when it comes out!!! Buchwhack@attglobal.net) If you are wondering whether or not you should get this book, then trust me and get it. Hope this helps, ENJOY!!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: More to enjoy! Review: If you liked the first three books, you'll like this one. There's even more to enjoy here, 734 pages' worth! Old characters return: the Weasleys, Albus Dumbledore, Hermione, Hagrid, the dreadful Dursleys, Draco Malfoy, et al. And you'll meet new ones, such as Rita Skeeter, Mad-Eye Moody, Winky the house-elf and Victor Krum. This is very good fantasy, the sort that makes you see the magic in everyday life. I've noticed that more and more grown-ups are reading this series, which is definitely not for children only. While you're waiting for Harry Potter 5, you might enjoy reading fantasies by two outstanding British authors, Diana Wynne Jones and Eva Ibbotson (look for the latter's ghost books in U.K. editions).

Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Extremely Captivating Review: I'm 15, and I read the Harry Potter series. They are the greatest books I have ever read in my life, and let me tell you something, I have read a lot of books. Its so hard to put these down. You have to read them from cover to cover in one sitting. Thats how good they are. J.K Rowling is a complete genious. No one can argue with that. The way she writes these books is absolutely amazing. At the end of the book, you are so suprised at what happens, you don't expect it at all. But it disturbs me to see 50 year-old critics rating this as books that lead young children into the occult. ER! Probably not. These books are from our time, they aren't something they had 50 years ago. These stories tell how it is growing up as kids these days. These books don't tell what girls should be or how they should grow up or tell the guys what they have to do and how they should do it. It is inspiring. SO its completely unfair that these books get bad reviews by cranky old critics who don't understand what these books are all about.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: holy muggles... Review: I am 19 years old. When I first heard about the Harry Potter hype, I thought it was just another stupid kid's series, like the Goosebumps books of a few years ago. But when "Goblet of Fire" came out, and I saw so many kids going crazy over it in the bookstores, I decided to find out why the series was so popular. Now I'm hooked. This book is the best of the series so far. Rowling gets more involved in character development so the reader begins to really know Harry, Hermione, Ron, and everyone else at Hogwarts. I loved how Rowling took the story into a whole new level (I won't spoil it for you!) and how emotional things got near the end. I don't know what else to say about this book - it's just incredible. One of the best parts: even though this is a children's book, Rowling doesn't water things down. I like that.
Rating: ![3 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-3-0.gif) Summary: Over-expectation? Review: I am a 30-year old professional a bit young at heart (I happen to be in the toy industry.) I dived into the 4th book with great expectation after the reading the first 3 and must admit to be somewhat disappointed. The 1st half of the book is spent building up background info in arriving at the conclusion of the last 150 pages. Much of the humor found in books 1 to 3 is missing here, which is especially important when Rowling is trying to drown the reader in the boring 3 to 4 hundred pages. Another point I also found to be very annoying is Harry and Ron's speech which began to change gradually in book 3 and is now in full force in book 4. Apparently, Rowling wanted to make it sound "colloquial" and informal, consequently, a lot of "yeah," "I dunno," etc. I guess you could say that the prose overall is actually a little sloppy at times. This book is heavy in terms of both weight and ambience, but light in entertainment.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Why, can't there be six stars? Review: I was never really in to reading, I mean I did it when I had to and if it was required to for school, but I didn't just sit down and read for fun. then one day my mom, came hom ewith the whole series so far. She thought they would be good collectors items. I like, there's no way I'm reading on my break and not that stuff. Well, I ate my words, from the moment I picked up the first one I was hooked. I couldn't put them down, one by one I devoured them, I couldn't explain it. I just really enjoyed them, having just finished the latest, I was increible upset I would have to wait for so long till, I could read what happens next. It pleased me greatly to see the fact that she is starting to incorprate boy girl relationship into the novels. I just love these books.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: excelent book! great plot Review: I thought this book was the best in the series so far.it is a good thriller. Good for all ages.Very enjoyable
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: ADULT WHO LOVES HARRY POTTER Review: I HAVE READ ALL 4 OF THE HARRY POTTER BOOKS AND IT HAS BECOME SOMEWHAT OF AN OBSESSION FOR ME. I HAVE ALWAYS ENJOYED READING, BUT HARRY POTTER HAS CAST A SPELL ON ME. ONE AFTER ANOTHER, I READ THE FIRST THREE AND SAT ON THE EDGE OF MY SEAT UNTIL THE FOURTH ONE CAME OUT (OF COURSE I KNEW THE DATE AND WHERE TO GO TO GET IT). HAVING FINISHED THE FOURTH JUST THIS AFTERNOON, I CAN TELL YOU AS IT IS STILL FRESH IN MY MIND, THIS IS THE BEST BOOK I HAVE READ YET. NOT ONLY BY ROWLING, BUT BY ANY AUTHOR ANYWHERE. RIVOTING AS WELL AS REFRESHING, THIS BOOK COULD MAKE KIDS AND ADULTS ALIKE JUST SMILE. I LAUGHED, I CRIED, I FELT LIKE I WAS INSIDE OF IT, JUST ANOTHER FRIEND OF HARRY'S. I CAN'T WAIT FOR THE FIFTH BOOK AND I AM ANXIOUSLY AWAITING THE MOVIE!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: The Boy Who Lived Review: Wow! The whole Harry Potter book #4 summed up in one word. Of course I can't just stop there, oh no. The magic, the imagination, the superb writing, the countless hours of ignoring everything else except the inevitability of nature and stuff like that but the moment you put that book down, your head is swimming in thoughts of what will happen next, and you want to get done whatever it is so fast to get back to enjoying coutless dreaming. If you are waiting to read the reveiws BEFORE you read the book, ignore all the reveiws that are putting the book down, because you wont be able to. When i first heard that there was going to be a movie out of the first book, my heart sank. There is so much to imagine that if children go and see the movie, it'll be like they are being told what to imagine, and that's what books are for, to imagine. And is watching the television supposed to improve their imaginations? I think not. That's why I was so disappionted. So, if you are an adult, READ THESE BOOKS! You will thank yourself cause i bet you haven't imagined this much since you were little. And if you know of any little ones (not too little, I reccomend around 7 or 8 but it's your decision) then take them away to a world of magic they will never forget. (Still to come: Harry Potter 5 6 and 7. I can't wait!)
