Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: WAY TO GO HARRY! Review: . ) WOW! this book was one great adventure, August 14, 2000 Reviewer: Richard J. Parico (see more about me) from Lincoln Univ., PA United States This is by far the greatest of the four books. The way the author keep you in suspense from page to page. The way she keep the story in high and intense action around each coner. Harry becoming more powerful, and at the same time wiser in the wizerding world around him. And his Quidditch skills just blow you away, and reading about the triwizard cup was really great... I really love this book and i recomend this book to anyone who hasnt read it.. peace out JESS! DID U FIND THIS HELPFUL? YES NO
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Harry's not for the just the young. Review: I'm a 45 year old mother of 3 children ages 9-13. I have read all 4 of the Harry Potter books and have had a hard time waiting for each one to come out in print. J.K. Rowling has a great imagination for all the different ways she has found to introduce new animals and characters to her wonderful books. Keep them coming J.K., for your work is not just for the kids, but for those adults who like to let their minds soar with the wild birds that are the painters of imagination. Thank you, Marti Lozer
Rating: ![1 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-1-0.gif) Summary: Mediocre writing Review: Sorry to be so blunt about it, all you Harry Potter fanatics, but J.K. Rowlings really needs a tune-up job on her works. I am sadly disapointed by these "bestsellers". Rowlings fills the pages of these books with her drab language. The plots read like a script for some corny action flick. Oh yeah, I know what you'll say next. "How DARE you! Harry Potter is simply innocent fun, with all the magic and excitement of many other fantasy books like C.S. Lewis' Chronicles of Narnia! It is great literature!" Don't give me that act. I don't like C.S. Lewis, but his name does not deserve to be stained by J.K. Rowling's "magical excitement". And "great literature" is a grave overestimate. Hah! Whatever happened to J.R.R. Tolkien? You want great literature? Read Patrick O'Brian! So there you have it, people. Yeah, go on and read the Happy Adventures (Though highly unrealistic) of Harry Potter. Ignore the REAL good literature and go on with your lives. I guess this review won't do anything to affect you. But I have to say that it's a real shame that Amazon.com doesn't have a rating scale in the negatives.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Broken backs and cracks in paint... Review: Wow... that's what I said when I finished Potter 4. I was amazed by the depth and humour of the book. I didn't find out about them till the 3rd book came out and I almost cried when I had to wait a year for the fourth. All my books have broken binding, the 3rd is broken in about 7 places and I'm not kidding, the 1st just started to break in 3 places and the the writing on the first three's spine is just about gone. Goblet still hasn't broken but it's just a matter of time...
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Time Windows Review: As Miranda peered through the old-fashioned dollhouse's windows, a little girl with blonde hair appeared. She was bouncing a red-and-blue ball and trying to hit it with a wooden paddle. Her striped blue dress and puffed sleeves depicted the fashion of the nineteenth century. Miranda was shocked to see this in the dollhouse. She realized that the dollhouse was not the usual dollhouse but a portkey to the past. When Miranda moved to her new house, she tried to solve a problem that happened to a previous owner of the house. Her only connecion to the past was the dollhouse. I recommend this book because the suspense and mystery makes this novel thrilling. This novel will attract anyone who enjoys a good mystery.

Vada Sultenfuss is in English and the day is almost over. In the last few minutes of class, she was told that she had to do a project. When the teacher asked who she was going to do it on she said she would do it on her mother. When she sais that, the class was silent. The next week was spring break, so she wanted to go to L.A. to see if she could find anything out about her mother's life. After, finally persuading her dad to let her go, she was of to L.A. When, she got to the airpor she was supposed to find a boy named Nick who would take her to her uncle. Lucky for her she finds him. Unlucky for her he has a bad attitude. Nevertheless, the two of them get a taxi and are off to her uncle's house. For the next five days of her search for information about her mother, nothing but misfortune cane her way. These adventures create an enjoyablebook that I think any girl who likes adventures will have trouble putting it down until the last page.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: The Best Book I've Ever Read Review: I received this book around 2 in the afternoon, and it was done with around ten the next morning. This book was better than the othe three because it was much longer, and even I, who has read enough mystery books to know that it is always the most innocent-looking character that tends to commit the crime, could not figure out just which seemingly evil character in this book could be the "faithful servant" Voldemort mentions in the first chapter. The World Cup is wonderfully described, from the Portkey to the Dark Mark, and with the Triwizard Tournament clues you often don't guess what, exactly, are the competitors going to do until the book finally reveals what the next task is. Even the graveyard at the end is quite unexpected, as were the real identities of the Grim and Scabbers in book #3. This is really an excellent book.

Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: Really good, but not the best Review: I will admit it, I was addicted to Harry Potter. A few things I would like to say though about why I gave it 4, and not 5 stars. The writing is whimsical and fun, but the characters lack depth of great books. After the first chapter, the book got boring for the next few. Also, the book on the whole, did not seem as exciting as the third book. Don't get me wrong though. I loved the book. Oh yeah, I am dreading the opening of the movie, Harry Potter and The Sorcerers Stone, movie almost always butcher good books. If you want a book that is a little more deep, but also in the same kind of Fantasy genre, read Sabriel, by Garth Nix or the Golden Compass, by Phillip Pullman
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire Review: I think this book is one of the best Harry Potter books yet! It's something different compared to the other three books out. I like how J.K. Rowling came up with the idea of having a surprise event at Hogwarts, I was getting tired of reading about Quidditch in the other books, although there was some of it in this one... I loved Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, I couldn't put it down! I can't wait 'til the 5th one comes out!
