Summary: Best Harry Yet!
Review: "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire", the fourth Harry book, is the best so far, in my opinion... I enjoyed the way J. K. Rowling kept putting twists and turns in the plot, because they really kept you on your toes. The descriptions were great, and the plot was so intriguing that I couldn't put the book down... There is a very big surprise at the end, but I won't ruin it! The Potter books just seem to get bigger every time, this one being a hefty 734 pages! The books were written to be read in order and you might get confused if you read them out of order. I would suggest this book to fans of the Enchanted Forest Chronicles and the other Harry Potter books.

Summary: Knuts!
Review: Wow! It finally came out! I had been waiting like a year to purchase this book, and it finally came out! I read it three times in two days. To date I have read it 11 times (boy am i proud of that!)It is as good as (or even better than)the previous books! I thought it was especially clever that JKRowling started the book differently, and that Harry FINALLY got to see a Sorting other than his own! I think it also added a bit more flavor when (cough)...-one of the people in the book- died. Now I can't wait for the fifth book! Does anyone know when (approximately) when it'll come out? For those people who haven't yet read a Harry Potter book (whomever that may be), I really really suggest in getting one in any way and STARTING TO READ IT!

Summary: Compromising quality for quanitity?
Review: Rowling's 4th book is a great adventure and can be appreciated on many levels. This story however is about 200 pages too long. As both an English teacher and a reading specialist I found myself wondering if she was being paid by the page as the plot really drags at times. Otherwise, the characters are developed well and the plot is clever and nicely woven back to the previous books. (I would suggest that Ms. Rowling request her publisher's, Scholastic, hire a qualified, experienced proofreader with a background in grammar as the errors become downright annoying at times!) The climax was excellent and the resolution was handled beautifully. Looking forward to #5.

Summary: Best Yet! More To Come!
Review: The fourth book in the Harry Potter series was just as wonderful as the others. Over seven hundred action-packed pages fill this fourth book. I got it at 7:00PM PDT, July 8th. I could not put it down, I knew I should have waited, but I just couldn't resist. I read all in one night, it took me until 4 in the morning the next day to finish and I didn't put it down once. That is the magic of JK. I can't wait for the fifth book now, but when I finish the last book I'll be devestated. Good Reading to You!

Summary: 4 Harry's- and counting!
Review: The Goblet of Fire is a very well written book. J.K. Rowling has the best imagination of any author I've read. Her charectors are so realistic that I can relate them to my own frinds. I especially like all the animals she makes up for the Care Magical Creatures classes. I also think it's funny when Harry, Ron, and Hermione get in to trouble- you'll see what I mean. Everyone will like it- I definetely recomend it!

Summary: ABSOLUTLY AMAZING
Review: Harry potter and the goblet of fire is no-doubt about it then to be a five star book! Even though it is a children's book, when i saw how much my daughter was reading it I had to pick up the book, and I found myself buying them all. it starts off with a chilling scene about a hounted house that is being used as lord voltimorts hidout. i will not go into detail because it will mess up the book for you so, all I can say is: BUY IT, BUY IT, BUY IT!!! It is really worth it, so you can thank me once you are done enjoying the book. Have fun, and get your credit card out now!

Summary: They just keep getting better!
Review: For someone who does not usually enjoy fantasy books I was amazed at how enjoyable these books were. I read the first one to see what all the hype was about and was hooked! Each book just gets better and better. How amazing is it for an author to write a series of books that appeals to such a broad range of readers. I'm a 47 yr old mom and we fight over who gets these first at our house...me, my 15 yr old son, my 10 yr old daughter or my husband! What a goldmine this author has landed in. If you haven't read these yet, start with the first one. Although I have heard of some people who didn't like them (Personally, I think there's something wrong with them), I bet you'll be hooked too. We can't wait until book 5 is out!

Summary: Hurrah for J.K. Rowling!
Review: J.K.Rowling does it again with her wonderful Harry Potter Series in her latest book Goblet of Fire. Never has there been a better written and magically entertaining series for children and adults alike. At the Hogwarts School of Wizardry, you will never know what or who is going to come popping into the scene. Magical creatures and Animalmangus leap to life in this enchanting serial. Harry, Ron and Hermoine delighted my entire family in the first 3 books but Goblet of Fire has surpassed them all. Her suprise endings are the keep you guessing right till the end. The best part of being a "Muggle" is being able to read these charming stories. Praise to J.K.Rowling who has captured her own "magical wand" that writes these stories and gives her the gift of a magical imagination.

Summary: Fell a bit short of my expectations
Review: I am a true harry potter fan and have read all 4 books. Though I was enchanted by the first 3 of this series I felt that the "Goblet" fell a bit short of my, and my friend's who have read it, expectations.

For example, in the beginning of the book Hermione decides to defend the house elfs (like Dobby) and works hard to create a club and help them. As the book developps this issue is forgotten, Hermione forgets to mention it once more.

I felt that Cedric Driggory's Charachter was NEVER developped and it was a pure shock when.... (read the book and you will understand). Some of the everyday life at Hogwarts was lost because of JK's concentration only on the tournament.

The end of the book came as a total surprise and I felt that JK had been rushed because certain important details have been forgotten. ...

Anyways I still liked the book and think it's REALLY worth buying, I am just hoping that book 5 will clear all my questions.

Summary: Fun for an Adult or a Kid
Review: I have caught the "Harry Potter bug" but good - I have devoured all of the series, and even special ordered book number 4. I think most of my "grown-up" friends think I'm whacky, but my 8-year-old niece was very jealous when she heard I'd finished the book before she did! The latest, book 4, kept me reading into the wee small hours, it was a thrilling adventure, more serious perhaps than the previous three, and stronger for that. Readers won't be disappointed - Harry's challenges and fights against evil are more fun and more spectacular than ever!

However, the best aspect of the series is not the magic, though it is very entertaining, but rather the marvelous relationships among Harry, Hermione, Ron, Sirius, Hagred and Ron's family. Children and adults alike will yearn for the fun and adventures and sacrifices shared among Harry and his friends - a great lesson for the true meaning of friendship. And you just can't help but be impressed by the headmaster, who's so wise and noble and understanding and cool that he makes me wish I could have been a student at Hogsworts - he GETS it!

Please, believe the hype and just give Harry a try - he's a welcome addition to the characters populating the imagination of our children and citizens today. He's not the smartest, the most ambitious, or even the most talented student, but he knows how to be a good friend (even if he makes mistakes along the way) and more than this, he has that indescribable quality of leadership, innate wisdom and sheer bravado that appeals to the hero-loving, human core of each of us.
