Summary: Writing Wizard J. K. Rowling does it again!
Review: This story is another achievement for the author. She continues to keep the saga fresh and interesting in her 4th Harry Potter book. Harry and his friends seem like real children and the active mind of the writer always has something new and exciting waiting ahead for them in the wizard world. Yes, this is a big book, but what a wonderful accomplishment for a child to have tackled and completed the story. Parents and teachers should be thrilled because once the world of books is opened to the mind, the interest in reading will continue. Bravo, to J. K. Rowling for making our children want to read.

Summary: Harry Potter can make a reader out of anyone!
Review: I have just finished all four books of the Harry Potter series in just under a month. That may not seem that spectacular except for the fact that I hated to read. I had never read a book as pleasure reading and the last book I read was required text in college. I was never able to get into a story that could hold my interest for very long, even when I loved the subject matter. But then my wife, an avid reader, starting reading the Harry Potter series and told me how much she loved them. So one day I decided to start reading the first book and I was instantly hooked. I read the first book in about three days and started instantly on the rest of the series. I went from someone who would rather watch TV to someone carrying my Potter book everywhere I went so I could read a chapter or two whenever I could. Harry Potter captured my interest so much that I am now exploring other authors to continue this desire to read. If you know someone who has struggled with reading in the past I strongly urge you to give him or her this series.

Summary: Very Disappointing!
Review: My children, ages 8 and 10, anxiously awaited the arrival of the fourth Harry Potter book. We were enthralled by the first three, but all of us agree that "The Goblet of Fire" was very disappointing in several ways. For example, there were several subplots which were never really developed and should have been left out. An example of this is Herminone's defense of the House Elves. I thought that it was in particularly bad taste to have a magical creature which enjoys being a slave and speaks in a way which is reminiscent of early depictions of black slaves. My children and I had a hard time following the plot, as the book seemed to ramble on at times. We were also disturbed at how dark this book was. Was there a reason for Cedric's fate? Why was there so much violence, torture, murder, and profanity in a children's book? This book also lacked the comic relief of the other books. It was no longer fun to be Harry's friend. Ms. Rowlings has a responsibilty to do better next time.

Summary: Harry Potter Four
Review: I found Harry Potter Four to be a very interesting and enjoyable book. It was longer than the previous three, but taking into account I was reading to my 12 year old son this was not a problem. The adjectives that are chosen by the author are of a higher word level than your average 10 year old so I think a child reading this on their own would have difficulty. I did not like the introduction to swear words in this book and feel the author cheapened the story by having to resort to using them. I will read all the HP sequels. Great escape!

Summary: Harry Potters books are polluting childrens minds
Review: In this book children are encouraged to participate in witch craft. It is polluting their minds and making them obsessed with the occult. If you are a christian I urge you not to buy these books, and pray that they will decrease in popularity!

Summary: A Great Book-
Review: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire was an excellent book. I loved it. I have read all 4 Harry Potter books by JK Rowling and I think this could be the best one yet. They are all great. Although this particular book was a little lengthy, there were not too many dull moments. A very exciting book, I reccomend this to anyone of any age.

Summary: WOW!
Review: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is an awesome book! J.K. Rowling does it again! But I wouldn't want to read The end at night! It's definitly worth it's price. This is just about my favorite yet!

Summary: Poter - a superhero?
Review: As a big fan of Harry Potter series I have enjoyed this book very much, but it left me with a very ambivalent feeling, which already surfaced as I was reading the Prisoner of Azkaban. The last few books touch upon very serious issues: betrayal, death, murder. The question of morality is always addressed, and not in a silly way either. Unfortunately, the book follows an almost Hollywood storyline, where no matter what the protagonist does - he survives and comes back better then ever, with an exception that here he does not get the girl. Alas. A little less predictability would be nice, as well as moving on to new villains, perhaps? The book is a worthy read nevertheless, and I would certainly recommend it to anyone and everyone who reads books.
