Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire Review: This is the fourth and most recent book in the epic and magical Harry Potter series. It is much more darker and scarier than the others, as Lord Voldermort comes back to power as the Dark Mark rises and brings his faithful Death Eaters to his side after thirteen years. The characters are further developed by Rowling as they grow up and more is found out about the dark events which happened thirteen years ago. There are many new characters and their past and secrets are revealed. Harry's most loathed teacher, Proffessor Snape continues to be harh and cruel and we find out the swallow faced Severus Snape was once a Death Eater himself but came back from the Dark Side before the Dark Lord's downfall and at a 'great personal risk' acted as spy... but Harry can't understand why...Dumbledore still trusts Snape. Malfoy yet again reminds Harry on the way back from Hogwarts that 'he has chosen the wrong side' and that he is better off wihtout 'Mudbloods' and 'Muggle Lovers', referring to Ron and Hermione. This a powerful and frightening book as we enter the wider wiarding world and prepare for the return of the evil, Lord Voldermort! The plot is left haging and many questions need to be answered as we wait for book 5.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: WOW! Review: Harry Potter and the goblet of fire is the best one yet. If you have read any of the previous books, you know that they are hard to beat. I am 19 years old and I thought that a book geared for younger readers couldn't be interesting, but I read it and was amazed. There is a great story line, and it is very easy reading. All in all I give it as many stars as they will let me give.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: amazing Review: the fourth chapter in the harry potter series is amazing it is really good because of these following event's The Quidditch world cup, and the twizard tournament but all these events ends up in a most unfourtanate way the fourth book shows the darker side of the Harry Potter series readers who had read this book know what I am saying. Other than that it is a adventure filled story i hope you all enjoy "Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire"
Rating: ![1 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-1-0.gif) Summary: Totally Anti-Biblical and Anti-Christian! Review: Christian parents beware! This is not a book you want your kids to read! It's amazing to me that Christians have been swept away by the media hype over Harry Potter and have completely overlooked the totally anti-Bible and anti-Christian perspective that the Goblet of Fire was written from. I know that wizards, witches, the magical arts, astrology, necromancy, are all said to be the stuff of legends and children's fantasy. The ignorant and uninitiated say, "No harm done!" But I beg to differ! If you are a Christian parent and you are considering buying this book for your children, I strongly urge you to read what the Bible says about the magical arts, astrology, necromancy and the like before you let your children read this. It may seriously affect their spiritual health!

Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Long, but best of the series Review: Tremendous story. Terrific ending: closure mixed with logical progression to her next book. Rowling's challenge will be to accomplish the same thing in book 5, now that she's made known that there will be a 6th book. She doesn't pull her punches and has done a great job with creating rounded characters, warts and all. She could've trimmed some of the middle parts without taking away from the plot (though the entire story was uniformly entertaining), especially for the younger readers. On the other hand, I'm sure that many readers (myself included) enjoy 700+ pages of Harry Potter.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Harry is growing up. Review: "Goblet of Fire" lives up to all the hype of the media and expectations readers have after reading the first three books. It is still very well written and very exciting. This episode of the Harry Potter saga is much longer than the previous tales (743 pages), so we get experience a much more detailed idea of what it is like to live as a wizard or a witch. Harry even spends the first several chapters at the Quidditch World Cup with the Weasleys, so not all of the book (or the plot) revolves around life at Hogwarts. The characters are growing up, and as such are getting much more mature. While the development of the characters leads us into the typical realm of adolescence (ie: boys & girls, dances, etc.), it also marks a point where we realize our fictional friends are stronger, so expect a more powerful battle between the forces of good and the forces of evil. Expect "The Goblet of Fire" to be much darker then your previous journeys into Harry's world. Don't expect to find only magic flavored jellybeans and practical jokes, also expect fear, mutilation, and death. "Goblet of Fire" has a much more realistic and heart felt ending than what you will be expecting, just keep in mind that this is all pivotal to the overall plot of the seven book series. In case I have you completely down about the dark side of the new book, I might as well mention that we do get to see Sirius and the loveable little Dobby, as well as some of Dobby's new elf friends.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: A great reading adventure for all ages Review: As an adult who grew up on JRR Tolkein and other Sci-Fi and fantasy greats, I am thrilled that the Harry Potter series has become so popular. My 11 year son waits just as eagerly for the next release as I do, and even though the books have gotten amazingly lengthy, we both rip through them as quickly as we can. When Goblet of Fire came out, he read through the entire book in 2 days, handed it over to me, and I stayed up until 5am so I could finish it as well. Since then we have lent it out to numerous friends and relatives who were equally in love with it. It has all the classic elements - good against evil, bullies, unfair situations, misunderstandings, the magic that can help you win even when all seems lost. If nothing else, it is encouraging millions of youngsters to read in an age that tv and computers are replacing books. I applaud J.K. Rowling and wish her all the success in the world.
