Summary: BUY THIS BOOK NOW! YOU MUST BUY THIS BOOK RIGHT NOW!
Review: Harry Potter is the best series EVER. I used to wonder what was so great about it, until I had to read book 1 in school. I've been hooked ever since. I simply couldn't put this book down. It is filled with a lot of suspense, and I loved every bit of it. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is the best of the four, but you should read the books in order.

Summary: The Best Yet!
Review: What can I say? J.K. Rowling has done it again. The fourth book, in my opinion is the best yet. Much more suspensful and violent it seems as if you have reached the climax when you read the first sentance! A total twist in the ending with Lord Voldemort coming to power again. Couldn't imagine any book being better!

Summary: One of the best authors I've encountered
Review: Ms. Rowling reminds me of Madeleine D'Engle - fresh, original ideas, fantastic imagery, good vs. evil thematics, and many interesting references to past literature and play-on-words. I know children must enjoy the well-developed characters and action - but as an adult reading this book I found all the nuances wonderful. I recommend this to anyone who is finding their current book club choices passe - this one will keep you up at night whether you're 10 or 50.

Summary: the agony of ALice
Review: This book is about a girl who has no mother. And this girl is Alice. She lives with her brother and father in a house she justed moved in at Sliver Springs. During the summer she had changed a lot. And because of that she need a mother or a role-moldel. One day, when they went to GAP to buy some clothes and her brother got her some pants to try on it was way to big. She tod her brother and he said that it was the smallest size he can find. Then a GAP staff came and said "May I help you" and Alice said that do you have smaller sizes for this pants. She said that these pants were for boys and Alice was so embrassed. So from then on she decided that she needed a mom or a role-model. In this story she will tell you how sad and awful it is to not have a mom.

Summary: Funny and entertaining
Review: The Goblet of Fire is a much better read than rest of Harry Porter's series excluding the Prisoner of Abzakan. I think like old wine Ms Rawlings is getting better with every new book. I am sure readers all over the world eagerly await for her next book featuring Harry Porter. One point I want to make is that the way Dudleys' treat Porter is a shade below child abuse and the author should make provision in her next book that something is done by the 'Muggle authorities' to curb the menace and punish the Dudleys suitably.

Summary: Wow!
Review: J.K. Rowling has done it again! She writes so marvelously about Harry and everyone that this whole book seems almost like a reality to me. Almost because the book ended. Anyway, it is such fun seeing Harry grow up and having his first crush, dealing with bullies, and fights with friends. Everything that a normal adolescent goes through. I simply cannot wait until the next book comes out!

Summary: impressive and increasingly ambitious
Review: I, like many others, awaited eagerly for this latest instalment of the Harry Potter books. Let me be clear-- about a year or two ago when I first heard of them, I was highly suspicious that they wouldn't live up to the hype surrounding them. I bought the first two out of curiousity. Found them exciting and enjoyable stories with wonderful humour. The third book was something more, I was highly impressed and completely caught up in the story. The fourth book, "Goblet of Fire", could have been more tightly plotted. Otherwise, I was not at all disappointed, and found it worth reading. The ending certainly packs a wallop, leaving most readers breathlessly waiting for the fifth book.

In summary, if you like an enjoyable fantasy series, and at the same time want to see some depth and development in theme and character as the series continues, Harry Potter fits the bill.

Summary: You don't have to be a child to enjoy this
Review: Ok first a confession. I'm not a kid. I didn't borrow this from a kid. And yes, I loved the book.

First, I am absolutely amazed at how many young people and students are reading a book of this sheer size. Harry Potter is to be celebrated if for nothing else then inspiring young people to read.

With that said, I have to say that adults will find this a fun book to read as well. It is incredibly well written and has plenty of action and humor coupled with transporting us back to the time when we were kids. Its interesting how the author makes many of the adult characters aloof and ecentric with the kids solving the problems and being resourceful. It's just like when we were all kids ourselves and thought we could take on the world and solve all the messes created by adults.

Regardless of your age, you will be transported into a magical world with a classic good versus evil battle exists with mystery, action, and drama. It's not wonder cildrenlike the book given how it taps into their imagination and creativity.

The author also has a fun play of words with the characters' names. Sirus sounds like "serious" for the character that is always serious and grave. Hermione sounds awful lot like "Harmony" and that's the role she plays as the maturing young lady who keeps trying to fight for the underdog and maintain the peace. Crouch is similar to Grouch which he is pretty much through the entire book. Harry himself seems to be named after "Hairy" because of all the hairy situations he finds himself in.

I know some conservative Christian groups opposed the book, but I have to say that it really is just plain fun fiction. The story taps into children's imagination the way Superman and Tom Swift did for many adults growing up. It's fun and should be read as such.

I found the book to be immensely fun and a great way to connect with children that I come accross every day. Most of all, it reminded me of what being a kid was like and brought back memories I have long forgotten, but am grateful that they've returned.

Summary: Just Keep Me in Suspense
Review: The fourth Harry Potter book was a novel that I was not able to put down. I read every night as much as I could. Reading the story made me feel like I was actually in the book standing next to Harry. I felt like I was watching everything from inside the story. The new defense against the dark arts teacher is named Mad-eye Moody. Somebody secretly enters Harry's name into the goblet of fire. The goblet spits out the names of people who the goblet thinks would be most eligible to compete against other schools in difficult competitions. Harry gets to compete. There are three tasks, and In the third task ... something amazing happpens. The results just kept me in suspense until the end of the book. There was one part that just was devastating to read. I would reccomend this book to anybody who enjoys being kept in suspense or just Harry Potter. Even my grandmother loved it. If you're in the mood for a good novel try Harry Potter The Goblet of Fire.
