Review: One question I've had, that my two sons have shared, is WHY, if Harry is now a 4th year student at Hogwarts, can't he do a simple transformation spell to lose the hockey tape on his glasses? Although this specific question is not answered in the latest installment, certain aspects suggest the reasons! Harry, as anyone who has even slightly followed the saga by now knows, is one of two contestants from Hogwarts selected to serve as champion in a contest that has long been shelved due to the danger, between wizarding schools. There are any number of twists and turns along the way, some predictable, some not. As almost everyone also knows by now, a main character dies in this volume, and my son tried to tease me by suggesting whom it might be, but like my son, I will not spoil it for those who don't yet know. Rowling does a superb job of giving enough leads to suggest any number of characters. The whole incident, though "darker" as others have suggested, is nonetheless handled in a dignified fashion for the younger readers of this book. The usual crew is here, including Hagrid, Dumbledore, Snape, and Harry and pals, with some new "cast members" as well. My personal favorite is the yellow journalist with her magical pen, who causes no end of trouble with her dispatches in the Daily Prophet. As my son says, "I can't wait til the next book comes out!"

Nothing that big, that huge, or that thick, could prepare me for what I was about to go through! Every page revealed a little bit more, and by the half way point, you couldn't stop. From page one it was a gripping story, more suspenceful and thrilling than all the other books put together! It's amazing how much this book means to me! For all kids, this book is a masterpiece. Young kids who don't like to read, now find reading amazing, sensational, and, most importantly, fun. If your child doesn't like to read, I beg you to get this book, and at least try it! Most children agree that nothing better has been written! My hats off to J.K. Rowling! Without the books she's written, some kids today may not have been reading, and I wouldn't have had an adventure of a lifetime! Thanks

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire that is. This book was my life for about a month, well I don't know if you would go that far. But, you get the picture. Th book is irresistably fascinationg. I do not believe there is anything like it. J.K. Rowling is simply a genius. It is one of those books that you believe you are in it. If you have never felt it I suggest you try is some time. When Harry rides on a broomstick to steal a dragon's golden egg. Oh, I tell you it's like jumping out of and eight story building. Hogwarts, school for wizardry is the school that Harry attends. Many things that are fishy and down right wierd go on here. Lord Voldemart, an evil wizard, rises to take control. Sounds spooky doesn't it? Well you're right. Now I bet your wondering who Harry Potter is, right? Let me tell you a little about him. He is an unusual kid with a scar on his head in the shape of a lightning bolt. Sounds like a freak? Wrong! He is a great friend to anyone who is willing to be his. For instance, when Ron, Harry's friend, gets teased for being poor by Draco Malfoy, "the enemy". Harry is there to back him up. Ever been in a bind like this? He seems like a friend that I would like to have. My favorite part is the conflict between Voldemart and Harry. This i what makes me the most excited. My heart races like a pummel horse. When Harry was entered in the Goblet of Fire. Making him part of a wizard tournament. Voldemart tries to kill him. When he says," And now face me like, a man... straight-backed and proud, the way your father died." "Now we duel." That just sends a tingle down my spine. I love it.

It was 734 pages of action and fantasy you never knew what was coming next. Harry and his friends are fourth years at Hogwarts school of witch craft and wizardry. It is the first time in centuries the three witch craft and wizardry schools come together to see which school has the best students of magic. The student who were seventeen or older could compete, the students put their name in the goblet. The goblet was only suppose to spit out three names then for the first time ever four names were spit out of the goblet. The fourth name was Harry! What will happen to Harry......... read the book to find out! I would recommend this book to anyone who likes action and fantasy books and books that are very long.

We've read all four out loud to each other and love them. This book is definitely setting the stage for the next three. I can't wait to see where Rowling takes it! We're both Christians who take our faith very seriously. The whole "witch" thing did slow us down from reading these books but now that we are--we love them! It's funny, witches and warlocks in the writings of Tolkein or C.S. Lewis never bothered me. I'm not sure why they did here. I'm glad I got over it! Rowlings books are definitely worth reading.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: This is a great book! Review: This book is definitely the best out of the four Harry Potter books. I read all day long right after I got it, and finally finished it at 1:00 am that night. It had different parts to it, the Quiditch World Cup, Harry's adventures at school, and then the last part was when he meets up with Lord Voldemort again. Even though it had these three parts, they were all connected together. I really enjoyed reading this book, I had been looking forward to it coming out ever since I heard about it. I recomend reading the other three first, though, because you won't understand it if you haven't read those. Several people in my class at school look at me rereading the book (for the 3rd time) and ask how I can read such a long book. But when you're reading it, it doesn't really seem so long at all, and when you're done, you actually wish it was longer. The ending was really intense, I think the last 100 pages or so were the best part of the book.

Lewis, the "Chronicals of Prydain" by Lloyd Alexander, and other similar series as a child. They are magical. Now, J.K. Rowling has done it again with her Harry Potter series! I love her work as much as my nine-year-old does! Being able to see morals and values re-inforced to children is wonderful...and seeing a child eager to pick up a book in this day and age is fabulous! This series is a must have for any family.
