I completely enjoyed this book due to it's mysterious plot. My curiousity was at an extreme while reading the book, and I had trouble putting it down. This book is perfect for children who enjoy fantasy and mystery. This book is one which everyone can thorougly enjoy.

Summary: Really enjoyed it
Review: I hadn't planned to read the latest publishing sensation, but I read Harry Potter's adventures over Christmas, and while I cannot say that it has won a place in my heart as a favourite, I enjoyed myself hugely while reading it.

It is not as though Rowling's idea is terribly original, although she has revitialised the old 'wizard's school' story with elements like Quidditch, and details like the choosing of a wand (or a wand choosing a wizard/witch) and of course great charaters like Hagrid and Hermione really make the stories fascinating, even for reader familiar with the genre. What really stands out is her deft touch of humour; her intensely involved plots (of which this book 4 is a stellar example, it is amazing to compare it with the preceding 3 books - it is so much more controlled and water-tight, no loose-ends, considering how complex it was); and her effective way of evoking emotion at crucial points of her story eg. Harry's longing for his parents is a constant theme, and concepts such as love, loyalty and friendship are explored.

All the criticism regarding witch-craft surrounding the Rowling mystique are quite laughable. Magic is the subject-matter of the book - to complain against the Harry Potter books is to complain against the a large proportion of the whole genre or fantasy as a whole. Are we to be deprived of such imagination and fiction on the basis of religious intolerance?

I was struck by the level of "darkness" in the books, but it tends to be gross (descriptions of Voldemort are pretty grim) and not violent for violence sake. In fact the death of Cedric Diggory was dealt with in one of the more humane ways I have seen death dealt with in recent examples of media. It is not taken lightly in the book.

All in all, I am left anticipating, with millions of other readers, Book 5! Keep up the good work, Ms. Rowling.

Summary: The best of the four!
Review: Though this is easily the meatiest of the Harry Potter series at over 700 pages, I ripped through it in about six hours -- this is keep-you-up-at-night, extraordinarily engrossing reading. The excitement extends from the fact that Ron and Harry are beginning to notice girls to Harry's vision of his parents (I'll try not to say more for fear of spoiling).

My favorite part of this series -- which I began reading on a lark at Christmas to see what all the fuss was about -- is watching Harry Potter *grow up*. I'm 22, and I can remember reading series like *The Baby-Sitter's Club* and *Sweet Valley High* where the characters were eternally eighth graders and high school juniors, respectively. It's completely refreshing to see Harry mature and confront ever more difficult aspects of his past as he gets farther through Hogwarts, yet the fun of the series is absolutely not lost.

I'll be first in line, or at least fighting for that position, the day we get to see Harry turn fifteen and start another year.

Summary: Harry Potter and the enormous royalty check
Review: J.K. Rowling has proven herself to be a terrific writer, as shown in the previous Harry Potter books, but this one is perhaps the most intelligent of them all. The unexpected plot twists, the sheer brilliance, the style of her writing, they all add up to a great novel. Tiny clues hidden throughout the book will seem unimportant, but it's the small aspects that have the most significant impact on the story. A must-have for mystery lovers, horror lovers, or really anyone who knows how to read.

Summary: The Last Book Review
Review: OK OK, I'm the last person on earth to review The Goblet of Fire. I was virtually forced by my 10 year old daughter to read the first Harry Potter book that I purchased for her a few years ago. As soon as I finished that tome, I was on to 2 then 3 and now 4. As a 39 year old adult I never thought the magic could return but it has. JK Rowling is certainly worthy of every wonderful thing that can be written about her. She teaches us much like Gene Roddenbury did in Star Trek. Well done Ms. Rowling! I can't wait for 5. The magic is back! Kevin Hogan, ...

Summary: Book Review on Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
Review: J. K. Rowling's Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire is an excellent book to add to the already amazing collection of Harry Potter books. This book adds to Rowling's astounding imagination. She uses so many amazing elements in the book. For example, she has all the people that are in photographs come to life and can move around throughout the picture and others as well. These have been in all the Harry Potter collection, but in this book the pictures go to a new level, which is that the people in the pictures are seen all over the school in which Harry attends. Rowling also adds dragons and mermaids to Goblet of Fire, which are extraordinary descriptions. The one thing that makes this book different from all the other Harry Potter book's is the amount of new elements that come from the school. Harry has to do a lot more school and the reader learns along with Harry how to do disarming spells, swim underwater without air, travel through time, defeat a dragon, and travel through time. Also, a very new element is The Triwizard Tournament, which takes the place of Quidditch, a game played on broomsticks. The Triwizard Tournament is a tournament of three tasks. This tournament is very dangerous and is life threatening. Of course, what would a Harry Potter book be like without a villain? Harry has to deal with Lord Voldermort once again, and on the way he makes some amazing discoveries about himself and his family. The book is filled immense detail and takes the reader's imagination and heart on a roller-coaster ride that is full of the twist, turns, and loops all over.

Summary: Not as good as the others.
Review: I thought that it was good but not that good. the other Harry Potter books i liked better. It is still a definate read if you have read the other three. I think it lacks the originality of the others. but mabey thats becasue i have read the others so many times that this one being new seems way different...

Summary: My Thoughts
Review: This book was exellent. I would reccomend this book to anybody. I reccomend This book because I can relate to it. After the summer I look forward to going to school again. Anoter reason I relate to this is that I have some friends, and there is a bully like Malfoy in every school. This book does a good job of mixing fiction and non-fiction. That is an important quality to me when I read a non-fiction book. Even if it's a little reality. Overall the most important thing to me is being able to relate to the charicters.

Summary: they fancy each other!
Review: Through the chapters of "The Unexpected Task" and the "Yule Ball" I was laughing VERY hard and all I could do was gush and say "Awww...they fancy each other!" I was worried there, for a moment, since Harry & the rest of the gang are 14, don't they atleast have feelings for each other? but Alas, I got my romance fix in this book :). I really recommend this, but if you're a newbie, try reading the other books first and DON'T let the page count (gosh, 700+!) discourage you! Believe me, when you get started reading it, time flies by and you're already at the half of the book! It's very charismatic.

I'm a new fan of the series. Not too long ago, I refused to read it because of all the hype (I was in a stage where I hated everything that's popular, wink wink, but that stage has passed, fortunately) but I Finally gave in and read Sorcerer's Stone when my curiousity finally got to me. So here I am, a new Harry Potter convert! I can't wait for the next book though; the Genious Jo(Ms.Rowling) said that GINNY will have a larger part! she's one of my favorite characters..and Ron..and Hermione..and Harry...oh I love all of them!

Summary: Dark but Delightful
Review: This is yet another instant classic in the Harry Potter series. It's a sharp, slick novel that will have you guessing until the very end, and beyond. After reading the last line of the book, you will want to know more. Hopefully Ms Rowling won't keep us waiting long.

Harry is growing up, and starting to face real grown up things, such as crushes, school dances, and and thoughts of life as an adult wizard. There's treachery afoot at Hogwarts, and Harry is involuntarily thrown right into the middle of it. Our reluctant hero faces many brutal challenges, and eventually comes face to face with Evil itself.

Don't let the size of this book scare you. I read it in two days, mostly because I couldn't put it down! Treat yourself to a wonderful novel.
