Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Wow Review: Wow ... Remember: Constant vigilance. Pay attentions to all the minor details. Like the previous 3 books, this is a page-turner. In spite of the thickness of this book, every chapter is fun too read and Rowling does a good enough job to save a few details for her next few books in the series. Lots of suspense and foreshadowing. Remember, constant vigilance while reading!
Rating: ![2 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-2-0.gif) Summary: lost her touch Review: After getting this book at a incredibly good price of $16, I noticed this book wasn't nearly as good as the other three. Exept for the crouches there wasn't much exitment in the book, & the triwizard tournament was extremly dull.

Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: I want Book 5! Review: Although this book was perhaps a little darker than the other three, it is a must read! I do question whether some of this matieral is suited for young readers, but I feel that it is appropriate for teenagers and young adults. I cannot wait to get Roland's next book, but it will be a long, long wait. For those who want an idea of what this book is about.... It starts out with the World Cup Quidditch match where the sky is lit by the Dark Lord's sign. Then, when Harry and group do to school, they find that all Quidditch matched are cancelled at Hogwarts this year because of a cometetion between three school of magic. Harry is entered and chosen as one of the competitors (who didn't see that coming?!). The rest of the book contains Harry and the other competitors facing thier challenges. Harry also has personal challenges from not only Malfoy & company, but also from Ron and Hermione. I am looking forward to seeing Harry 5th year at Hogwart's. What's next on Harry's agenda of adventures? Roland, please hurry! I cannot wait for Book 5, 6, and 7 to be published!!!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: A Spellbound Adventure! Review: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire was an other magial hit by Rowling. At the begining, Harry and his friends go to the Qutich World Cup, where something dangerous occurs. From that point, the plot gets more adventurebound and exciting page by page. This book is a must read for both the old and young.

Rating: ![3 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-3-0.gif) Summary: okay Review: These books are good and i can't deny not enjoying this book...until the end, that was. These books are NOT the best things to hit the world of fiction, nor is JK Rowling the best author in the world. In my humble opinion that is Stephen King's Dark Tower series. So Diggorys death was a bit of a shock but Harry escaping definatly was not. Then after that what preceeds is a talk ranging for about twenty pages where (as per usual) good old wise Dumbledore explains everything to Harry and co who just sort of nod along. Then you get the typical temper tantrem where Harry shouts a lot at grown ups (why can't he learn respect). This is the most annoying thing about the book. In the third book when harry points his wand at Sirius he says something like "Are you going to kill me Harry?" Well, evidently he wasn't because according to THIS book he doesn't know the curse, yet alone making it work (and how DO you it work anyway? And why does a wizarding society celebrate Christmas when Cristians are completly against any kind of sorcery or magic? Seems a bit strange that's all. Another stupid thing about this book is that self-righteus politically correct Hemione going on about those stupid house elfs. No one cares! Who is she to decide what's in there best interests? Sorry to some people who haven't read anything other than this but it's nothing special.

Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Just as good as books 1, 2, and 3. Review: If you haven't read books 1, 2, and 3 don't read this. This book is definately "pivotal." The suspense is built masterfully. The new characters are incredible. Harry...Read the book to find out the ending of this sentence. Enjoy the mystery once again. I eagerly await book 5.
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: A Bit Off Review: Once I was done with Harry Potter #4, I was still thinking about it like I had done with the other books. I've thought about it for a long time and have come to a few things. There are many things to enjoy in the book such as the Quidditch World Cup, the Triwizard Tournament, and the compelling ending. But this book isn't without flaws- such as, why didn't Lord Voldemort try returning to power in the previous books instead of trying to kill Harry all the time? He did try in the first book, but it didn't have much to do with Harry till the end. Also, with Harry and the other kids at the age of fourteen, the all too little bit of romance in the book wasn't realistic. I mean, people might not start having romantic relationships until that age, but what about romantic thoughts? Another thing is the 'coincidences'and long explanations. The 'concidences' such as how Lord Voldemort could've risen again without Harry, made me think about how J.K. Rowling could've improved in that spot. Also, the lengthy and complicated plan of using the Triwizard Cup could've been shortened to something by far more simple and perhaps more effective- Lord Voldemort could've killed Harry then. But of course, there are three more books to go and many more possibilities. And maybe more narrow escapes, if J.K. Rowling keeps on writing with her formula of 1. The Dursleys, 2. Out of the Dursleys, 3. At Hogwarts, 4. Danger brews along with mysteries remaining unsolved, 5. Mysteries solved in lengthy explanations and an apocolyptic end battle. But knowing Rowling and her knack for suprises, that might all change in book five, six, and seven, which are expected to be much darker than ever. Some ways Rowling could improve is by using a different story format instead of just sticking new stuff in the old to make it look new; develop the characters a little more (Harry, Ron, and Hermoine will be turning fifteen!; and make Lord Voldemort more of a bad guy and actually give him realistic or at least interesting motives instead of insanity for doing bad things. On the other hand, there were some very valid good parts of the book. For example, J.K. Rowling's skill for suprises kept people quessing. Although, most of the characters seem to be thinking that the same person (or sort of person) was behind it all, instead of thinking deeper. There was also the fact that all the characters are very unique (though perhaps underdeveloped). So for all these various reasons, I rate Harry Potter #4, four stars. Humor and suspense did make up for a lot, but I'll be keeping in mind these points and flaws as I await the fifth book and eventually read it.
