It sure is long but it is definitley WORTH the time and the patience.Like all other Harry Potter books,u just simply CANNOT put this down!!! J.K Rowling has reallly done a FANTASTIC job!Her imagination is the BEST!!! This book is just as eventful as the last 3.This book, is a bit more advanced!!! There's ALOT more to this book than just Quidditch, which itself is an EXCELLENT game!!!!! i reallly want to THANK and Congragulate J.K for her books which have captured readers all over the world. Rating: Summary: The BEST Harry Potter book yet! Review: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire has to be the best one yet. Don't let the length get you down(I read it in two days), it's a real page turner. I love how everything from the previous three books come together (I recommend reading the first three in order before reading this one, it won't make sense otherwise). My favorite part is after the really important thing at the end happens, everyone tries to go back to normal life even though it isn't possible. I can't wait for Book 5!!
Rating: Summary: its a good book that can be enjoyed by anyone Review: i really think that anyone who enjoys reading can enjoy these books. I heard all the commotion about the series when it started and i really didnt think much about it but now that i have read this- i am going to have to read the others. Its a very involving story and i wish they would stop marketing it just to children and younger kids because i really believe it is more age nuetral than most people would think. There is a good mix of language in it, content that kids can learn from possibly, but also language that can be comprehended and understood more competently by those slightly older readers. anyway its a good book and defiitely one that youll find yourself stuck to your chair for- and once you finish it you'll be waiting for the sequel (as I am now.)
Rating: Summary: This is the best one yet! Review: The fourth book out of four in the magnificent Harry Potter series is great! It kept me on the edge of my seat and did not want to put the book down, litterally. By far the best book that I have ever read. I can not wait untill the fifth book comes out. I hope it is soon. Nothing bad to say about this book, only spectacular and marvelous things about this fantasy that keeps youy on the edge of your seat.I suggest you read the first three books before reading the fourth. It all begins when Harry is with his Uncle, Aunt and annoying fat cousin. It is almost time to return to Hogwarts, the school of witch craft. Harry gets owls (his way of communicating with friends) from his pals who have tickets to the Quidditch Cup. From there on this great story just seems to get better and better. I will leave you to find out what happens after the Quidditch cup. Good Luck and Happy Reading!
Rating: Summary: Rowling and Dale a sensation Review: It is not enough that J.K.Rowling is probably the best children's author to come along since Judy Blume, but Jim Dale's interpretation of her Harry Potter books makes them just that much better. He has created something like 127 voices for this series and each one is absolutely fantastic. I am a 27 year mother of two and I listen to the tapes as the girls and I patter around the house. It is a joy to see kids reading again, and I am not only going to keep the books for when they're old enough to read them, but cherish the tapes as well as a learning tool for future readers.
Rating: Summary: Best book ever... Review: This is the best book ever!!! I'm really a big reader, and this has to be the best book I've read yet. Don't be intimidated by the size, because once you start, you can't put it down. One thing I would suggest though, is if you haven't read, the first three books in the series, read them first. There's a lot of info in the first books you have to know. Another great thing about the books, is that every piece of information is used in the next book. If J.K Rowling's reading this, I want you to know, that your books rock!!!
Rating: Summary: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire Review: This book is the best book I've ever read (for right now) It's action packed and suspenseful. I love how there's so many events and new things, like the Quidditch Cup and The Tri-Wizard Tournement. It enters readers into a new, magical world. Once you start, you can never put it down.
Rating: Summary: Harry Potter Review: I come from a Christian family and we have no problem with Harry Potter at all. It really all depends on if you have problems with your children reading about witchcraft and wizardry. Children should have no trouble determining what is good and what is evil. The first 3 books are great, as far as I am concerned, for any child that can read. However, the fourth book does get violent and darker than the other books. I would not recommend it to any child younger than 13. The thing that's bad about introducing the books to children when they are 7 and 8 years old is that they will zoom through the first 3 and want to get their hands on the 4th one. The Harry Potter books are great and I highly recommend them. Adults will love them too! I am 30 and I absolutely love them! My children are still too young but I plan to let them read them as soon as I think they are ready.
Rating: Summary: The best book you will ever read!!!!! Review: Ok, this is the best book I have ever read in my life. Sure, it's long, but it is SO worth the time. I have all 4 Harry Potter books and I've read them all, but this one is the best. If you have the time and patience, BUY IT AND READ IT!!!! You will be so glad that you did. The Harry Potter books are addicting. Once you start, you can't put a single one down! Thank you J.K. ROWLING for writing these books!!!!!!
Rating: Summary: TEN STARS really to a ripping good series! Review: As an aspiring writer (and as a grown up with a grown up daughter), I bought book 1 to see what all the fuss was about. Well, I was simply enthalled from page 1 and promptly bought books 2-4. I read day and night until finished, enjoying each book more than the last. Simply put, the law of averages is against Rowling pleasing everyone, but, I can see why *practically* everyone is as enthalled as I am. In an era of "stream of consciousness," "how-to," and "tell-all" memiors, Rowling has concocted a delightful STORY!! The world Rowling created for Harry is astounding and believable. Everything fits from the flying brooms to wizard education to sports to dragons. How imaginative. And an adult reading these books can look back and remember their first dress-up dance (handled very well by Rowling in book 4) or remember school mates just like Harry and his classmates. Doubtless, they will also take a moment or two to imagine grown up versions of those classmates, and for those they no longer know, will wonder if they lived up to (or down to) their potential. And, of course, we all like a good vs. evil story; after all, " . . . decent people are so easy to manipulate . . ." (Book 4), but they win in the end, don't they? Each book covers a year in Harry's life. One might think this would get boring. Not so. The plot of each book is quite different and builds up in suspense until the surprising end. Each book is also better than the last. There is politics, humor, sadness, fantasy and a poison pen reporter (another imaginative wonder) in these books. Rowling and Harry Potter has boys and girls (and adults) reading again. That alone is worth 5 stars!!
