Summary: Wasnt worth the wait
Review: Unlike the other reviewers I simply thought that this was the worse book in the series. maybe the others got caught up in the hype. like you i went out and got the book soon as possible. heck i pre-ordered the book before it was even done. Reading this book was like punishment. It felt as if the story was drawn out. The book didnt start to get good until the last couple of chapters. and the truly exciting part was the last chapter or so. Its good to have to complete the series but only for that reason. it was a complete disappointment after reading book 3.

Summary: :)
Review: Harry doesn't seem to understand how to follow the rules, does he. It just seems that he always breaks the rules, either by accident of beacuse he thinks its the only way to accomplish his goals.

I'm glad about the tension between Ron and Hermione, it just seems a good counterpoint to everything revolving around Harry.

what else is there to say? if you like them you're gone this far in the series and if not, then you probably gave up a while ago so whats the point of my trying to convince you to read on? your loss!!!!!

Summary: Very slow start, but labyrinthine plot redeems it.
Review: To begin with, I wasn't so impressed with this entry. After the lean and to-the-point mystery of Prisoner of Azkaban I was bored to tears with the pointlessly long and empty opening of Goblet of Fire. The first 100 pages are the slowest and most boring so far in the Harry Potter books. I urge you to skip the first few chapters (up until the badly described and confusing 'riot' at the Quidditch World Cup) and get straight to Harry aboard the Hogwarts Express as nothing of interest happens before this point.

But once back at Hogwarts all the usual hijinks start. There is yet another Defence Against the Black Arts teacher (even weirder this time), the usual hassle from Malfoy, rumors of Lord Voldemort's return to power coincide with Harry's scar hurting, but no Quidditch. Instead 2 other Wizard schools (Durmstrang and Beauxbatons) bring their best students to visit for the whole year to participate in the Triwizard tournament. A sort of Olympic Games for Wizards, but only 3 (chosen by the Goblet of Fire) are allowed to complete.

But somehow the Goblet spits out a fourth entry (Harry), giving Hogwarts 2 chances to win the tournament. Much to the annoyance of almost every other student as they all think he wants to be centre of attention again. But even worse for Harry because he didn't enter the tournament because he didn't want to and he was too young. But someone put his name forward and once again Harry has to risk his life while solving a dozen mysteries.

This book is nowhere near as fast paced as PoA and sometimes it seems that Rowling is far too at ease with her catatonic way of developing the plot. I would have preferred if it were more concentrated and wasted no time. I never felt like I was getting anywhere with it no matter how many chapters I read. But by the end, when the plot threads are tied together (and some left annoyingly hanging) the book feels more wholesome but the payoff still doesn't feel as big as it should be for trudging all the way through a slow story with a beginning so slow it's almost going backwards.

I sure hope The Order of the Pheonix is better.

Summary: HARRY POTTER RULES!
Review: The book Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is written by J.K. Rowling. Harry finds himself face- to-face with a dragon in chapter nineteen! Harry also finds himself asking Cho-Chang to a dance. Ron has rescued Harry many times, but now it's Ron who needs saving. I would recommend this book to all Harry Potter fans.

Review: Harry Potter and the Goblet and Fire

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire by J.K. Rowling is a fascinating fantasy and it is the best book I have ever read. Harry Potter who's parents died when he was a baby, Hermione Granger who's parents are muggles, and Ron Weasely, face the problem of the three tasks when Harry name got put into the goblet of fire. Then Harry has to compete against older wizard than himself. All this takes place at the best wizarding school around, Hogwarts of Witchcraft and Wizardry. This book is perfect for the average middle school kids. It has a lot of pages but it goes by fast because it is nonstop action. This nonstop action makes you turn page after page and never put the book down. If you ask me this is the best book on the planet. This book is the fourth book of a five book series. You can also find her other books they are called Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secretes, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, and her new one Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.

Summary: Harry Potter 4
Review: This is a great book! This is Harry's forth year at wizard school and he has many amazing and frightening adventures I think one of the over all messages of the story is don't give in under pressure and tell the truth no matter how many people hate or despise you're doing the right thing your reward might not come soon or even be noticable when it comes but you're doing the right thing. If a child 8 or under is reading it I sugest that a parent or older sibiling read it with them it is rather violent and several charecters do die.

Summary: Harry potter and Goblet of fire
Review: I think that this book is a very good book and it is adventuarous. It is my favoritte book of all time. Harry wants to get away from the pernicious Dursleys and go to the international Quitdditch cup whit Hermione,Ron,and the Weasleys. He wanst to dream abaut Cho Chang, his crush. When he goes to Hogwarts their is no Quidditch this year but, their is a triwizard tournement, it is a compotition when three schools are to compete with eachother. Somone signed Harry up and now he is in the tournement it is ment to be dangerous, there are dragons, armed merpeople, and trapped mazes. there are three tasks and their is an unexpected one. Harry is underage from all the other kids from the other schools. so he will win the cup for his school and he will win money. That is why i like this book.

Summary: A thoroughly enjoyable tale
Review: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is a thoroughly enjoyable and suspenseful tale of a rising hero. The language of this novel seems more sophisticated than the previous three, but this does not inhibit a speedy read. After reading it, one would hardly know that it is over seven hundred pages long, because there is never a dull moment in Harry's wizarding world. I really appreciate the subtle, seemingly unrelated comments added by Rowling that all piece together in the end. The nuances of the book are quite entertaining. It definitely portrays all emotions well. On many instances, I have caught myself smiling, angry, surprised, or excited just as Harry felt at the moment. The plot is extremely captivating, as with the rest of the series, but this time around even more gripping than ever. The entire book is well thought out, and everything is described in extensive detail, which makes it all the more difficult to close its cover. Start to finish, this is an excellent literary masterpiece from an author of whom we would expect no less.

Summary: Triwizard Tournament Is Here At Last
Review: The book I am reviewing is Harry Potter and the Goblet of fire by J.K.Rowling. Harry goes to Hogwarts school for his fourth year. The quidditch cup will not take place, instead they hold the triwizard tournament. Voldemort enters Harry's name as a fourth school, when there are only supposed to be three schools. Read this book and find out what a true adventure is like. I rate this book five stars because this story has a great plot. There is an adventure and even a little sadness at the end. This book is good for children, teens, and adults. I suggest you read the first three books before you read Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. Pick up this book and START READING!
