Rating: Summary: The Best Book Ever Made Review: The book is about Harry Potter. He is placed in the tri-wizard tourament and has to do all these hard magically task. My favorite character was Victor Krum because kept on mispronouncing Hermoine's name. Hermoine would get so mad at him. The book is scary and tight yet it was funny. I like how J.K Rowlings comes up with creative ideas for Harry Potter. This is my favorite Harry Potter book.
Rating: Summary: this book does not live up to the Harry Potter name Review: I bought this book the day it came out, thinking it would be as good as the last 3 were. But I was disappointed, the book rambled on about nothing for its 700 plus page length. It was so cheesy too. For example, in the triwizard tournament only three are chosen, and after a Hogwarts representative was chosen harry was chosen also to represent Hogwarts for some odd reason. And the love interest part, Harry has shown no interest before in girls. Now he is swooning over a fat french girl who talks like an idiot. I think this book is not woth 20+ dollars and advise anyone not to buy it.
Rating: Summary: Overall a good book Review: Like many parents, I started out reading the Harry Potter series to my children, and found myself hooked. I thought #4 was a good addition to the series because of the added depth of storyline and the obvious changes occurring within the characters as they get older. There have been a lot of complaints regarding the "darkness" of this book, but I challenge those reviewers to present a scenario that involves the return to power of a Powerful and Evil Wizard that isn't a bit dark! I thought she did an excellent job presenting this, and I also support her decision to kill one of the characters. Life isn't all peaches and cream, sometimes it's dangerous, and I think children realize this better than adults do sometimes. Those children who have lost friends and loved ones may find it easier to cope with their loss by relating to the characters in this story.I did have a few problems with the book, which is why I only gave it 4 stars: 1.) Many things, from the "lynch mob" of Death Eaters after the Quidditch World Cup tormenting the Muggle family, to the speech inflections, attitude, etc of the House Elf Winky makes me think the author is copying and making light of the former African-American slavery in America. Winky sounds suspiciously like the author borrowed her character straight out of Gone With The Wind (I don't know nuthin 'bout birthin' no dragons), and the image is made complete by Hermione's mission to free them and everyone else's assumption that they are happiest being enslaved. 2.) The author dedicates a lot of energy and righteous indignation to Hermione's efforts to liberate the house elves, and then it just...stops. I guess the girl just got bored of trying to free the slaves. Happens, I guess. 3.) Why, oh why, was their an entire tournament of chance involved if all the Imposter Moody had to do was get Harry to touch a portkey? Harry trusted Moody almost from the start, it wouldn't have been that difficult. All in all though, it was a good book that left me wanting for more. Harry is an excellent hero, far removed from typical children's book heros who are the underdogs until the end of the book, when something miraculous happens. Harry doesn't take guff from anyone, and he's a winner.
Rating: Summary: My super super review Review: This was by far the best book i have ever read. I have all the Harry Potter books, read them all more than once, and this one was still the best of the 4. It was full of suspense that made me keep on reading even though i said i would stop. I actually give this book 10 stars, not 5. I would recommend this book to anyone of any age. This book will leave you counting the days until the 5th book comes out in 2002! Enjoy!

Rating: Summary: this was the best book ever. Review: So far in this book I really liked. I liked chapter eight (The Quidditch World Cup). The Bulgarieas versus Ireland. The Bulgarieas got the snitch but Ireland still won. This book should be the top of the line selling book for kids.
Rating: Summary: Not just for kids. Review: This novel is the best so far.Harry Potter goes back to Hogwarts in his fourth year and meets the funny, scary and crazy characters which seem so lifelike. However, there is one problem,Voldemort(Voldie)is now out of his -whatever was keeping him away during Harry's last three years, and he wants revenge, yadda yadda yadda. We don't see much of Voldie until the final pages,so start flipping pages, readers. I think that you have to let adults read it before giving it to kids. I'm disappointed when some say this book is just for kids.I have a librarian I go to who is 40 YEARS OLD and is reading it.There is no age limits for this. The characters are awesome, the plot is awesome... ...this book is downright awesome.
Rating: Summary: Simply Stunning! Review: This incredible New York Times Bestseller, is the most popular book in my lifetime. Deeply absorbing and fascinating, Harry Potter enjoys yet another spellbinding year at Hogwarts. Even more intense than the previous three books, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is the dream book for children of all ages. Just the thought of a extraordinary and complex world of magic will blow anyone's mind. The main reason for Harry Potter's great success is that J. K. Rowling imagines this British school just like any other normal school, however she adds an engaging twist which is to fill this school with supernatural creatures and magical people who live as wizards and witches. This year at Hogwarts, however, Harry will not play in the usual exciting Quidditch Cup, instead a novel activity will be added to the agenda. The Goblet of Fire has yet to make its significant decision: Who will be chosen? This year Hogwarts will compete with other magical schools around the globe. Only one brave representative will be chosen to achieve three amazing tasks. You-Know-Who..are still after Harry and will stop at nothing to even [get] him. Harry feels safe in the strong walls of Hogwarts, but is this a false sense of security? The action and entertainment in this book never stop. Please read it.
Rating: Summary: I was Harry Potter when I was younger... Review: Amazing! This describes my life exactly-- only Harry is a boy, does magic, lives in England and has a lot more adventures. But I think everyone can identify with Harry. He is a Real Kid. I bought copies of this for me, my three teens (age 16,15 and 13)and stocked up the public library shelves. I can hardly wait for the next one!
