Rating: Summary: A Harry Potter that lives up to the hype! Review: One of the most engaging facets of the Harry Potter books is that the author, Joanne Rowling, is growing up as a writer simultaneuous to Harry growing up as a wizard. There is a quantum leap in quality and entertainment between Books 1 and 2, and again between Book 3 and this one, the Goblet of Fire. It is a fantastically well-paced, exciting, and interesting adventure story. It combines what we know well - Hogwarts, Quidditch, and the main characters - with new and interesting characters, spells, and situations. The titular Goblet of Fire choses champions from three schools - Hogwarts, Beauxbaton, and Durmstrang - who compete in the Triwizard Tournament, which is the centrepiece of the action in Book 4. This tournament is a series of tests with points given for each challenge. Meanwhile, Harry has attended the Quidditch World Cup where Ireland has triumphed, but he is disturbed by alarming dreams wherein he witnesses murder and threats against himself. We, the readers, know (and Harry suspects) that Voldemort is the evil source of his dreams and that these dreams are clairvoyant glimpses of actions taking place beyond Harry's control. Will Voldemort succeed in getting at Harry? Will a Hogwart's student win the Triwizard Tournament? Will a Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher manage to last an entire year? Pick up this book and find out! As Rowling has matured, the flow and suspense of the books has improved, and here she is in her best form to date. She deftly handles her rapidly increasing character list, so we are never confused. Her characterisations are fuller and more mature (with the exception, unfortunately, of Malfoy who remains a cardboard cutout villian). The dialogue seems more realistic somehow - perhaps she remembers what it was like to be 14 better than what it was like to be 12. At any rate, this book lived up to its hype and its awards - eyebrows were raised when it was awarded the Nebula, but a read will convince you it's not just a kids' book, but a timeless fantasy piece suitable for all ages (over about age 10).

Rating: Summary: The best Harry Potter's book 'till now Review: Harry Potter and the goblet of fire Well, describing the Harry Potter series is not a really easy thing to do. The plot is very simple, basically the philosophic idea of "know yourself". Therefore in each book Harry discovers some new things about his past. Nevertheless, it is one of the most wonderful and well written books I've ever read. J.K Rowling hasn't lost her personal magic (I really doubted she could keep up the marvelous work, she had done in the other three books). The book is the most interesting and exciting one, if in comparison with its predecessor. It all begins with Harry being mistreated by his uncle, aunt and cousin. After a while he goes to the Weasley's house and watches an international competition of Quiddish. Back to Hogwarts some strange things and facts begin to occur and Harry discovers many things about his past. Not for a moment did I think about stopping reading it. It just gets your attention in such a way that it is impossible to stop reading, a real masterpiece!
Rating: Summary: The Best Review: The magical effect that the Harry Potter series has had on people is more powerful than any spell that can be produced. Loved by children and adults all over Harry Potter took the world by storm, and ended up being one of the greatest series to ever be written. These books have never ceased to amaze people, and the fourth book in the series is no different. Opening in the usually setting of Harry's aunt and uncle's house at 4 Privet Drive, Harry abruptly awakes one night to the burning pain of his scar. Not knowing whether to write to Sirius to tell him of this pain, he decides not to due to an event that Harry wouldn't miss for the world, the Quiddicth cup. Harry accompanied by his greatest companions Ron, Hermione, and the rest of the Weasly family; arrive at the Quiddicth cup expecting to have the greatest time of their lives and for awhile this feeling is mutual between all. But after the end of the match, and a little into the night, a mark, a mark that is feared by almost all witches and wizards shines high in the sky. This mark is of the most terrifying and strongest wizard the world had ever seen, Voldemort. The weird dream and the course of events at the Quiddicth cup lead Harry to the un-raveling truth of the return of the wizard that Harry has hated more than anything else in the world, this return being of course Voldemort.
Rating: Summary: Brilliant! Review: As an adult reader, I was hesitant at first to get into the Harry Potter series. However, after finally giving into the hype, I decided to pick up the 1st book and absolutely fell in love with Hogwarts. Despite the length, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is possibly my favorite book in the series. The magical world outside of Hogwarts gets explored a little more in this book, starting at the Quidditch World Cup. And instead of the traditional Quidditch House Cup, 3 wizarding schools compete in the Triwizard tournament to crown a single hero and champion. But don't be fooled, the real magic of this book still lies within the walls of Hogwarts and the spell-binding adventures of Harry, Ron, and Hermione. Don't blink or you just might miss something.

Rating: Summary: The Dark Lord rides in force tonight... Review: The Goblet of Fire is about as long as the previous three Harry Potter books put together. I was worried going into this that the magic would run out - that Rowling might have been caving under the pressure of having to produce a Harry Potter book each year. Some of the reviews I had read suggested as much. Well, the magic is still going strong. True, this is a long book (we do not arrive at Hogwarts until around page 200), but, like Harry, I want to spend as much time at Hogwarts as possible. The story is just as engrossing here as in the previous novels. This, in fact, may be my favorite so far. The story concerns a contest amongst several schools of wizardry. The book begins with Lord Voldemort so I don't think I'm giving too much away by saying he has something interesting planned for Harry in the tournament. This is darker than the previous two books. The similarity with Lord of the Rings becomes more apparent. As Harry grows up, circumstances become more and more dire. I have not yet read Order of the Phoenix, but I am looking forward to it.
Rating: Summary: WORLD¿S BEST CHILDREN¿S BOOK SERIES! Review: Harry Potter books are the best books I have ever read! If you own any books than you should own it. It is just so hard to stop you wan't to read it all in one day! Here's the bottom line. BUY THIS BOOK! I RECOMMEND IT FROM ANY AGE FROM 0 TO 999,999
Rating: Summary: Inspired writing in Part 4 Review: This book is long, not because it has a lot of padding, but because J K Rowling covers a wide range of topics, from the Tri-Wizard Tournament, to Azkhaban, to World Cup Quidditch, to the emerging romantic lives of the characters, and also fits in a lot of intrigue and mystery. The challenges assigned to the champions are well thought out, and the plot twists were ingenious. Unlike Book 5, most of the ends are neatly tied up by the end of the book, and you will find it most enjoyable reading.
