Rating: Summary: In a scale from 1-5: I'd give it 10!!! Review: I know that this book is "a bit" pricey, I wasn't sure if I should buy it or not, but after i did - I was so happy I didn't leave it in the store!!!The minute I started reading this book, I couldn't get myself to stop. Though Froud is a better painter than he is a writer, the explanations attached to each faery are interesting, and the pictures in this book are ones I'd like framed on my wall!
Rating: Summary: Wonderful Art Review: I love this book so much i trasure it like it is gold. The art in it is trully magickal and enchanting. I love reading about the faeries and looking at the wonderful pictures, along with the '_faeires' oracle_' by Brian Froud and Jessica Macbeth. I remember spreading the oracle cards on my bed, and flipping the pages of the '_Good faeries, Bad Faeries_' and reading about them, before I sleep. Inspiring and clever work. Must have.
Rating: Summary: Beautiful book for fairy lovers Review: I love this book. On one side you have good fairies and the other bad fairies. I have always loved Brian Froud's work and am glad to have this one in my collection. His artistic imagination is incredible, not to mention his talent! Any one who likes fairies, will love this book1
Rating: Summary: Froud is a genius.. Review: I love this man's art. And the fact that his books aren't just galleries, but contain interesting and wonderful information makes it even better. All the images here contain their own special personalities, and it isn't hard to believe he has pixies sitting on his desk, and goblins hiding things in his kitchen.
Rating: Summary: Simply Fantastic Review: I paid the original $30 for this at a book store and have NEVER regretted it. If you're an in depth Froud fan,or just a kid that likes fairies, this book is guaranteed to absolutely amaze you. It has wonderful descriptions of each creature and the most beautiful drawings ever,it's a really cool coffee table book too.
Rating: Summary: Not as good as the first book. Review: I purchased the original Faeries book during the first printing. I really enjoyed it so I purchased this book to finish off the "collection". I liked the first book better. The art work in the Good Faeries, Bad Faeries, is very similar to what is in the first book. Some of it is so close that I had to pull out the original book to see the differences. If you're looking for a creative new book by Brian Froud, this isn't it. It's a poor imitation of the original Faeries, nothing new or creative here.
Rating: Summary: Beautiful!!! Review: I really liked this book! It is SO pretty! I recommend this to anyone
Rating: Summary: Enchanting book with beautiful paintings... Review: I recently spotted this book in a used books store, and imedeately fell in love with it. After much thought, I bout the book for 21.50 with some of my Christmas money. I brought it along on a short trip with me the next day, and spent all my spare time poring over this book. I highly recomend it.
Rating: Summary: Fairy Believer Review: I saw this book at a friend of a friend's house and was absolutely blown away. I was just opening up to the more mystical/spiritual side of things if you will. It was about a year ago and I just recently oredered the book. I didn't know who the author was but that didn't stop me from finding it. A whole year and I still wanted that book. The artwork is immaculate, I work at a Pathifinders Facility and all the clients just love it. They TRULY believe! It's wonderful.
Rating: Summary: Froud does it again! Review: I was spellbound by Froud's "Faeries," and I think this sequel is even better! If the descriptions of faeries from good to bad don't draw you in, the beautiful illustrations will. Once again, brilliant--I especially love the book's "flip-over" design that seperates the good faeries from the bad (as well as the "trick" pictures in-between. A definite must-have for any fan of Froud or "Faeries"
