Rating: Summary: Add Value to Your Library Review: I have owned a few volumes of P.R. Krishnaiah's Handbook of Statistics (KHS). While moved a few times, including at one point out of this country, I threw away a few books, of which, two Volumes of KHS, Vol. 2 and Vol. 5, unfortunately, were among the causalties. Recently, when I started digging back into some old goodies, I went back to both and have to content myself with library copies.I have to admire the authority of the entries in these edited volumes. The information content in many of the articles are very high. Some entries are really masterpiece surveys on given topics, sometimes by several different authorities emphasizing different aspects of a common theme. The KHS series is very pricing, and I complained directly to the publisher at one point recently. But I have to say that some of the PHS which I have used, I found them to be highly valuable. The choices of authors were excellent. So addition of these PHS will really add value to your library. I can only hope that, one day, the publisher make a one-time discount, so to give individual researchers opportunity to afford a personal copy.
