Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Good book, bad edition
Review: I read the first 3 chapters of this book in preparation for a class I'll be taking with Stanley Gelfand (the author); maybe this will help future readers of the book. This book is densely packed with lots of information and is extremely interesting, but it has lots of big problems.

The diagrams are not sufficiently marked - often, the reader has to discern from the text which side of the drawing is anterior, posterior, lateral, medial, etc. The captions below the diagrams often don't match the text, either.

There is no glossary. There are a lot of typographical errors - for a student unfamiliar with the "cgs system," as I was, it's not much of a leap to think that a "certimeter" is a unit of measure, until one realizes that it's a typo and should be "centimeter."

I like the book for what I've learned from it but it's got a lot of problems in it.
