Rating: Summary: Good Book by a Disgusting Hypocrite Review: Bill B. is a very good writer. He is also a very bad person. For years he used his writings and status within Overeaters Anonymous to prey on young women. He would offer to "sponsor" them, and instead seduce them. Los Angeles alone is filled with women who have been wounded by the Preacher of OA, and OA, just like the Catholic Church, was told about his offenses, and did NOTHING about him. Then he hit gold! He got himself hired as a counselor at "A Place for Us," a live-in program for women with eating disorders! Talk about a fox in a hen house! Maybe he's finally gotten in touch with his "Higher Power" and stopped wounding women as part of his own ego-driven needs. Probably not. I suspect instead he hangs out at Sexual Addicts Anonymous meetings and tries to score there. But, hey, the guy wrote a good book!
Rating: Summary: Life-changing Review: I got this book for my pet gerbil when he reached the 1-pound mark. It was time to face up to the fat and start shedding some ounces, and I have to say the cheeky little rodent took it like a man and really got into the spirit of things, and he's been dieting successfully ever since.Unfortunately, as he correctly pointed out, it was time for me to do the same, so we're both eating tofu burritos and bean- sprout sandwiches these days and yearning for those glory days when we used to suck down a large chocolate milkshake together on a balmy, moonlit night with hardly a thought or a twinge of guilt. It's been a tough ride but he's really stood behind me the whole time. I couldn't have done it without the furry little guy's constant encouragement, and I can't say enough about how this book has changed both of our lives for the better.
Rating: Summary: Fantastic Review: I must start with a confession - I didn't actually read this book. The reason being, when I saw the neat red cover and felt the comforting heft of this thick tome I started to feel hungry. I started munching on the cover and before I knew it I had nibbled my way through the pages of the first chapter. It was delicious, though I have to say that chapter 7 was the tastiest, especially as I smeared it with peanut butter and Nutella chocolate sauce. I can also report that the book actually works! I weighed 470 lbs when I bought the book. By the time I had finished eating it a week or so later I was down to 465 lbs.
