Summary: High-yield info on a low-yield subject
Review: Anatomy and embryo are supposed to be "low yield" for step 1, but i felt like I needed to review these subjects a little and chose to do it with this book. I am very glad I did! Great, concise review of important info in both topics with lots of figures and pictures to help ensure understanding. Wonderful explanantions, which also tell you how board examiners will try to trick you. Check it out!

Summary: Great way to review a boring subject
Review: I didn't like anatomy very much because I found the subject matter pretty dry. I thought this case-based review was a great way to review anatomy and several of the high-yield facts appeared on my Step 1 exam (Feb. 2004). Probably best used by those seeking to do above average on the exam. Excellent explanations and figures.

Summary: Great way to review these subjects!
Review: The author presents an outstanding case-based review of anatomy and embryology concepts that really prepared me for the clinical vignettes on my exam (took 2 weeks ago). Though I haven't got my scores yet, I felt very confident on questions in these subjects because of this book. Also includes some great photos, figures and x-rays to help you learn the important anatomy and embryo. Highly recommend!

Summary: book for students by a radiology resident
Review: This book on anatomy and embryology was written by an author who is a resident in radiology. I would check the facts of the book with a real book written by someone with real credentials in the given subject. I had to check the facts for the Recall series, which also was written by a resident - an orthopedic resident composing a book on Pathology Recall.

Summary: Phenomenal review source!
Review: This series is a great review source for Step 1. This volume was my favorite, since I am an anatomy buff. The figures and x-rays are outstanding and similar to what you will encounter on your exam. The explanations are superb. I liked the way the answers were on the back of the page so that you were able to guess the answer(s) first. Definitely recommend this whole series for anyone who is serious about trying to do well on the exam (I got a 238 - about 20 points higher than I was shooting for!).
