Review: Older editions of Ragan's book are great, with clear diagrams and subject headings and few typos. However this edition was redone in the dawn of wordprocessing, which induced over 100 errors in key equations and diagrams - in parts of the text that were not even updated! Incorrect greek letters were substituted for others, likely due to a conversion problem, but that is no excuse for not proofreading it! Other problems include figures with the wrong caption or with key labels deleted, and equations that don't jive with the corresponding diagrams and explanations in the text.
