Rating: Summary: I am an RN and thank you Dr. Frye Review: Four years ago when I took the LVN examination I purchased a book called Frye's 2,000 Nursing Bullets and studied it. When I took the examination I found the information contained in the book to be exactly what was on the examination. I answered the minimum number of questions and the computer cut off. A couple of weeks later, I received noticed that I had passed. In May I graduated from the University of California School of Nursing with a BSN and while browsing through the bookstore I saw Frye's 2,500 Nursing Bullets. I purchased the book and began reviewing all the bullets. In July I took the NCLEX-RN and the computer cut off at 75. Eight days later I received my RN license in the mail. Dr. Frye's review book is excellent for reviewing facts long forgotten in nurse school. It is not a substitute for nursing school nor is any review designed for that purpose. It is not suppose to take the place of "critical thinking." It is simply a tool to use as you prepare for examination. I only have one regret and that is, I should have bought it earlier when I was in school.
Rating: Summary: Frye's 2500 Nursing Bullets helped me to pass the NCLEX-RN Review: I have just received my RN License and I just want to say the best investment I made in preparation for the examination was logging on-to Amazon.com and buying Frye's 2500 Nursing Bullets. It really made a difference when it came to selecting the correct answers on the NCLEX. Whether it was reviewing acid-base balances, learning about Bryant's Traction, or reviewing signs and symptoms of schizophrenia, it was all there, one bullet after another. It is an amazing, information packed book. Great job!

Rating: Summary: Frye's 2500 Nursing Bullets helped me to pass the NCLEX-RN Review: I recommend this book because it helps to recall/remember important nursing facts that you will need to know for the NCLEX-RN exam....It reinforces what you already know....However, I don't recommend it to be used as your only study guide, but rather to be used in companion with a thorough NCLEX-RN comprhensive guide. It is an excellent book filled with many need-to-know nursing facts right at your finger tips, one after another.
