Summary: The best book on PT and statistics for non-mathematicians
Review: It has taken me years to find a good English-language book on probability theory and statistics for non-mathematicians. I find it remarkable how many such books ignore the topic of functions of random variables and do not describe such widely used tests as the Kolmogorov-Smirnoff and Kruskal-Walis tests. Now I can stop searching. This is by far the best book on the subject and I doubt I will ever need another one. Its scope, clarity and respect for the subject and the reader make this book unique. If you've been exposed to mathematics but are not a professional mathematician, buy this book and enjoy it.
