Algebra Structure & Method Book 1

Summary: Informative, but a little confusing
Review: I am currently an eigth grader and am using this book in my school's "challengers" program. I found the book filled with lots of examples on solving polynomials, mixture problems, rational square roots, etc. However, if one does not master the concepts from Chapters 1-6 (this covers everything from factoring plynomials, solving equations and problems, etc.) one will have a hard time understanding new material from Chapter 7 and on.
