Summary: Best PM&R labcoat book!
Review: An excellent resource for anyone in a rehabilitation field. Has a surprisingly large amount of information that is easily accessible and well organized. This book will be especially useful for residents entering rehabilitation medicine. This is by far the best of the "labcoat" sized books in PM&R.

Summary: Good review for PM&R topics.
Review: This book is a summary of Braddom PM&R textbook. It is very nicely done with essential topics. There are two other recent "handbooks" published by Brammer and Garrison each with different strength. This one has the advantage of conaining all topics including Physical Medicine.

Brammer's book would be my second choice as it has excellent review on Rehabilitation topics. For example, it includes details on various motor recovery stages after stroke, which are not found in the other two handbooks.

My advice for any PM&R resident preparing for board exam... buy this book and Brammer's book. They are "must-have" for quick reference and refresher reading.
