Rating: Summary: Fascinating and Eye-Opening Review: A landmark book that will change the understanding of reality and affect the general perception of science and religion. Pertinent principles of physics are conceptually linked to different hierarchical levels. This logical framework is superimposed upon a why-what paradigm.Wheatley solves problems associated with understanding time and describes how everything interrelates. Then it gets interesting. He recognizes that the structure of everything does not answer all questions. He throws all the big questions of philosophy, religion and the remaining scientific questions at the structure to see what else can be learned and he gets results. Jerry Wheatley redefines space by reformulating the understanding of zero (signifying the cosmological singularity). That leads him to the single fundamental principle underlying all arithmetic. He turns that principle around and applies it to physics where it easily unifies relativity with quantum theory. This book has far-reaching implications and could well signal the culmination of science. I highly recommend it to serious truth seekers.
Rating: Summary: Consciousness and Reality. The final word? Review: Few people are brave enough to tackle any subject in the title let alone all subjects in one book. Mr. Wheatley tackles the subjects of Consciousness and Reality head on and then cobbles them together with religion and philosophy to come up with a Theory of Everything equation and a meaning for life. A mammoth task. He does all this with much enthusiasm having spent over thirty years of full time work researching his subject. His mantra is " The problem is not what people believe. The problem is that they believe." Information, according to the author, comes from two sources. Knowledge and belief. Knowledge corresponds to Reality. Belief, on the other hand, stems from lack of understanding and ignorance. Belief fills the knowledge void where knowledge is lacking. The author relies heavily on science for verification of his beliefs and acquisition of knowledge. After culling much of the humbug from religion and philosophy, he then puts the jigsaw together and comes up with some very interesting conclusions. Not everyone will agree with his conclusions. The book is ultimately just one man's (informed) opinion. Early in the book we are suddenly told, without explanation that "consciousness, mind and brain are separate." Knowledge or belief? Dualism is currently unfashionable in scientific circles and many regard consciousness as a neurobiological function of the brain. A biological phenomenon akin to digestion or bile excretion. Dualism is regarded as the outmoded legacy of religion and mythology. On religion the author exhibits a western and cultural bias by spending a great many pages on a skeptical analysis of Christianity. Buddhism, which shares the same intellectual existentialist leanings as the author and draws very similar conclusions, is dismissed in a page-and-a-half brief synopsis. Is this the final word on Consciousness and Reality? No! The book leaves one with the feeling that science, religion and philosophy fall way short of the mark. The author takes us a lot closer to understanding key concepts but not far enough. The incomprehensible remains, for the time being, just that. The book is extremely well written and teases the brain at many levels. For anyone looking for cerebral stimulation and a possible meaning in his/her life, this could be the book you have been looking for.
Rating: Summary: A Very Important Book Review: I must preface my review by stating that I have never been so excited and moved by a book that I have wanted to contact the author. That is what I found myself doing upon reading this book. This book is just what its title says. The author does not "miss a beat" describing in great detail using practically every aspect of scientific knowledge from atomic structure through logic to quantum theory---we are even given a valuable explanation of Love. This text may be challenging to read for those unfamiliar with scientific terminology. And it can also be difficult for those with a science background, such as myself. However, for me it is well worth the work necessary to strive to understand the unfamiliar terminology. (I am continually learning from this book. I am presently on my third reread). One of the author's main messages is "not" to believe anything without first verifying it with reality, as we know it. He calls it the "Personal Explanation Principle". He indicates that religions are just such belief systems that we as people "fall" victims of; because we do not verify the beliefs with the facts, as we know them, of reality. He gives a very detailed explanation of how the New Testament can be explored using his methodology. The author methodically and meticulously walks us through his thought processes, which took 30 years to assimilate, of delineating the structure of reality and the nature of consciousness. Included in the "walk" are many of reality's phenomena made revelatory. An example of that, for me, would be the dual nature of light. It's particle/wave duality, which is explained as "functions". Also, when the author took me on the mental journey of "Setness" an exhilaration of the magnificence of life swelled up in me. To me this is a very important book that should be read by all that are seekers of truth. It is for all those wanting to gain an understanding of the purpose for their existence, wanting to know where life is headed towards, and wanting to know who God is. This book will enlighten and develop one's mind substantially. You will discover that this is our objective. And yes, I contacted the author and he responded openly.

Rating: Summary: Should be Required Reading for everyone Review: This book will change your life. You will never think the same way you did before reading it. I have a degree in chemistry and I think this book should be read by everyone in the sciences. Without a doubt, the best book I've ever read. Why and what are two of our best friends
Rating: Summary: Extraordinary Scholarship Review: This is a fabulous guidebook to the Here and Now. It is obviously a work consciously inspired and directed from beyond our immediate and apparent purview.Extraordinary experiences which seemingly defy explanation require extraodinary research. After thirty years of being driven by Zero, Higgs Boson, Spatiality, Singularity, God Consciousness, desiring to be known,Jerry Davidson Wheatley has revealed WHAT IS. The reader at first finds himself stunned by the unfamiliar terminology and concepts in the opening chapters of the book. However, as one is led logical step by logical step by the author through an amazing labyrinth of induction, one's own intelligence level rises to comprehend the most eoteric of all knowledge. This book will rank as the definitive text for all serious students of consciousness. It will hold center stage on bookshelves among the Kabbalah, Upanishids, the Vedas, the Bible, and every major scientific text which are extensions of this work. This is the "future work" which "pulled" these lower level texts negentropically to rejoin the "Answer to Everything." Everything about this book: its WHATNESS, its WHYNESS, is the Virtual Image of its Creator. It is the Ark of Phase I which will carry us to Phase II. Jerry Davidson Wheatley is its Noah.
Rating: Summary: Illuminating!!! Review: This is a really great book. It combines philosophy and science in order to tackle a multitude of existential problems. The author's style of writing is fresh and alive, I recommend ths book to anyone interested in expanding the fronteirs of their understanding. Books I also liked are a Universe in an Nutshell by Steven Hawkings and Descent into Illusions by Paul Omeziri.
