Review: This is one of the most helpful books I have ever read about working with horses. Last year I acquired an orphan foal and had never trained a horse before. Mark Rashid's book helped me to establish a philosophy of patience and understanding in my work with Samson, the orphan foal. I believe this book helped me understand that a heavy hand would not produce results but that patience and a sense of calm would go a much longer way. We are still working on learning together and when I get frustrated I try to follow his advice and slow things down into smaller steps.
