Rating: Summary: Misgivings Review: I was looking for additional information on the He-219 Uhu (Horned Owl) nightfighter and this was the only book I could find on the subject.I had a few misgivings about the stiff pricetag, since I felt my needs would probably be better met by a SQUADRON-SIGNAL publication on the subject or a nice INTERNATIONAL AIR POWER REVIEW ARTICLE. After all, the Uhu wasn't the most important aircraft ever flown by the Luftwaffe. Well ... I can't say this is a bad book, since it has plenty of detail, lots of illustrations, and is reasonably comprehensive, but in terms of layout and organization it's certainly nothing to write home about. It's not junk, but for the money I would expect something spiffier. I would feel it a reasonable buy for half its price. And I still feel that a SQUADRON-SIGNAL book would be about as much as anyone but a sheer diehard would care to know about the He-219.
Rating: Summary: fans of a history Review: The book will be interesting to all fans of a history of aircrafts, the detailed enough material is given in the chronological order. Though the book is perfectly issued, the quality of photos leaves to wish best. The drawings are simply amazing! Good the book worth to the price.
