Review: This book is an excellent first aid book, particulairly for someone like me who only has basic first aid training. It was written by the American College of Emergency Physicians, so you know that it is truly definitive on the issue of first aid. The book is comprehensive, yet easy to use and color coded. The major benefits of the book include hundreds of photos, so that you are not simply told what to do, but shown. Another benefit is that it outlines how to handle various emergency situations, and how to exactly assist EMS when they arrive. It also tells you what you should treat and when you should call 911. A negative on the book is that it often refers you to other sections of the book during emergency procedures, something that there probably isn't time for in a real emergency. However, that should encourage your to become familiar with procedures before they happen. Overall, it is an easy to use first aid manual with lots of pictures that can help you to "[treat] emergency victims of all ages in any situation."
