Summary: I Couldn't Put It Down!
Review: I have been a WW leader for over 15 years and a member since 1975! I was sure that there was nothing in this book that would be new or motivating for me. I couldn't have been more wrong. This book was filled with more useful information than any single "diet" or nutrition book I've read (and, believe me, I've read them all...). Even as a leader, I hit my slumps and bumps in the road ... This book made me feel as if I were joining and embarking on new habits for the first time! It made me feel excited and enervated. Read it. You won't be sorry.

Summary: EXCELLENT BOOK
Review: I love this book! I have been a Weight Watchers member for a while now, so I thought that the book would be a bit motivational, but I probably wouldn't learn anything new. I was so wrong. There is info on nutrition, exercise, weight loss drugs, the list goes on and on. The book is so interesting and motivating. It asks questions in the beginning of the book to determine weight loss readiness and to help you see where your weak points for weight loss may be and how to correct them. Also at the end of each chapter, there is a section called "Something to Think About," that gives you something to think about and right those thoughts or feelings right there in the book. That really helps me. I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to learn more about weight loss and living a more healthy life!

Summary: This an EXCELLENT book!
Review: I love this book, it is full of useful information in an easy to read format (not to mention the spiral bound hardcover). You will find just about everything you could possibly want in a book about health, nutrition and excercise as well as a lot of "extras" such as "larger-size sources" a list of body-friendly clothing lines and "How to build a transitional wardrobe". The book also gives differant advice to women who want to lose 10 or 25 pounds than it does to someone who wants to lose over 50 pounds. It would be a great resource for someone on the Weight Watchers program, as well as someone like me who just wanted some additional information and advice. The price here is really great too,...I will never buy a book without checking Amazon first!

Summary: Not just for Weight Watchers members
Review: I was surprised by how much I liked it. I had feared it'd simply be a lot of rah-rah W.W. fluff. On the contrary, it was a globally useful, general information/motivation book. "Experiences last longer than flavors" and "no one but me puts food in my mouth." Lots of information on how to make INCREMENTAL changes in food quality/quantity and body movement. Lots of detailed info on things like types of fats, a very fair analysis of almost every type of weight loss method, and overcoming emotional challenges. I've read a lot of diet books in general... this one's a keeper and was definitely worth the money. 150 pgs of info, 100 pgs of recipes, 15 pgs of daily goal charts.

Summary: Outstanding
Review: If you are a weight watchers member, you definetly should read this book. We all need motivation no matter if we just started, or have been a lifetime member. It is always good to keep feeding your mind with nutritional information, and ways to help you stay motivated at loosing weight.

By giving up my coffee habit I realized having that wired up feeling all day clouded my concentration. Did you know one cup of joe raises your blood pressure by 14%! Fortunately for me I was able to find a wonderful tasting replacement made from soyabeans. You brew like coffee and it even helps lower my cholesterol.

I found it online at www.S o y c o f f e e.c o m. Gaining this understanding will effect every move you make from this point on and will bring with it the necessity to share it. The book also has a lot of receipies, so it's two for one.

Summary: Coach Approach is a Champ
Review: This book is a fantastic overview of current research and nutritional practices. Although presented by Weight Watchers, it is incredibly objective. It promotes common sense lifestyle practices while guiding the reader to search themself for the best way to meet any changes. Half of the book is devoted to educating the reader on proper nutrition and health habits and the second half is recipes. The recipes use common ingredients and most are quick to prepare. This is the best nutrition book I've found so far!

Summary: Fantastic Book!
Review: This book should be required reading for anyone who recently joined Weight Watchers or is thinking of joining. I found this book to be more than helpful. This book is filled with quizzes, check-ins and wonderful advice. It also has recipes! There is a chapter related to every area of fitness plus a great chapter about biulding a transitional wardrobe. There are menu ideas for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. I've really enjoyed this book. My only regret is not buying this book sooner.

Summary: Solid Information for Health-Aware People
Review: This is not a "fad diet" book. There are no quick fixes or extreme measures promoted in this book. This is a book for people who are serious about long-term weight maintenance. It is about making lasting changes in the way you eat, the way you think, the way you exercise, and the way you look at yourself. Using proven methods of long-term weight loss, the authors provide an abundance of information and exercises designed to help you make the lasting changes that will enable you to be successful.

The only part of this book that was not helpful for me was the recipe section at the end. Most of the recipes were not what I would normally eat. Items such as Lemon-Lime Swordfish with Mango Salsa or a Chocolate Egg Cream are just not things I would normally prepare.
