Summary: Not all it is crackup to be
Review: I heard Gary Null speak about this book. I expected to find new answers to solve my health problems. Unfortunately I already knew all that was listed for my health problems. I could have learned more with an hour on the internet.

Summary: References ?
Review: I lecture on nutrition wellness and holistic medicine. Gary's book is of use to me however it would be of more use if the facts in the book were referenced to peer reviewed studies. There are no references substantuating what he says in the book. There are also not many references to side effects or contraindications. Overall its not a bad book. I just wish it was more referenced.

Summary: I can heal myself.
Review: My asthma has entirely improved. I run everyday and my energy level is soaring. I believe everyone should have a copy of this book in their home. Throw away the medicine in the medicine cabinet and fill it with natures healing sources! Thank you Mr. Null.

Summary: The Complete Encyclopedia of Natural Healing by Gary, Phd Nu
Review: My primary research interest is natural therapies for cancer treatment. I expected scientific citations and suggested protocols.
It has neither. The book is more of a dictionary than an encyclopedia. It is also too superficial, dated, and anecdotal. This may be useful to someone who wants an introduction to natural healing. If you are seriously interested I would look elsewhere. I would recommend Natural Compounds in Cancer Therapy by John Boik.

Summary: The Complete Encyclopedia of Natural Healing by Gary Null
Review: The book is excellent overall. The author's presentation is
drawn considerably from his own experience in formulating and
implementing these protocols. Some of the protocols may be
seen in various journals of the Lancet or in studies done
overseas. Dr. Null emphasizes the need for a patient to
"listen to the body" as a condition precedent to a successful
healing experience. That is, repeating harmful behaviors
only impedes the healing process. The key to a successful
healing experience is a careful monitoring and control over
behaviors which are at the heart of the disease process.
Dr. Null's extensive knowledge of bio-chemistry is evident
from the discussion and implementation of a number of the
recommended protocols. To gain a better perspective on the
general area of alternative medicine, it might be helpful to
utilize this work in conjunction with the Alternative Medicine
work by Burton Goldberg. In addition, Dr. Null gives frequent
lectures on radio . It would be helpful to listen to these
presentations in order to obtain foundational material on
the peer-reviewed journals which cite the natural healing
methodologies and the supportive statistical data.
Burton Goldberg's work on Alternative Medicine cites
hundreds of alternative medicine practitioners and an
equal number of research sources in peer-reviewed journals.

Summary: Gross Inaccuracies Found
Review: The first section of this book which I read was the chapter on diabetes. I found Dr. Null's description of current treatments and prescribed diets to be completely contradictary to the information and instructions I have received from my Doctors, dieticians, and diabetes educators, all of whom work for an HMO. Is Dr. Null being intentionally misleading or is he just severely behind the times. In either case, one must wonder how extensively do such inaccuracies pervade this book.

Summary: Step by Step Guide to Nutritional Wellness
Review: This book covers pretty much any ailment you could be suffering from. Whether it's obesity, headaches, chronic fatigue, candida, irritable bowel, etc, it's covered here.

This books gives a good insight to a bunch of Alternative Therapies, and lists testimonials for each of the ones mentioned. I liked the part where a man gave his testimonial on Gary's Hair Regrowth Protocol. It was a genuine testimonial. Usually, I think testimonials are garbage, but having listened to Gary for many years, you know he wouldn't try to hype anyone up.

This book is exceptional for anyone looking to put an end to their suffering, as Gary lays it all out in plain English what it will take to get over whatever condition you suffer from. Excellent book.
