Summary: Jumps to conclusions
Review: Jacobs is the one researcher that other researchers always end up having to concede to. I'm an abductee, so all this stuff is known to me first hand. And by the way, I've never been hypnotized or institutionalized. There are a lot of us out there, and for obvious reasons don't advertise. It hurts sometimes to look at a blinding truth. They're here. They abduct people. They breed hybrids. The beings working on the various programs are not able or allowed to breed without taking part, and because their ancient society has dispelled every religious myth there ever was, the only eternal life is in the larger genetic lineage and society. They subvert normal ethics for this "greater good". Think of a cross between the biblical Abraham and the popular scientist Carl Sagan, then suppress whatever conscience either of them had. Obsession with continued progeny and the perpetuance of intelligent life. The engineered humans and hybrids often rub our technological inferiority in our faces...how very human of them. The aliens use a variety of psychological warfare techniques, including utilization of regional myths and superstitions to mask their operations. They prefer to work in secret, painstakingly avoiding risk to themselves. So much so, that we don't even know what planet they're from. They often train and program abductees to be useful at the "big event", sometimes as spotters for roaming drone ships that will be used to eliminate resistance, should humanity choose to ever take such an action. Many of us have also been trained for skills in the post-event era.

Philippines, Belgium, and other countries have already produced government reports indicating the ET phenomenon is probably real. Our own Air Force Academy physicists were forced to a similar conclusion, but the textbook chapter on the subject was removed for being contrary to the belief systems of certain parents of Academy students. U.S. intelligence agencies have so over-compartmented and decentralized the pieces of information on this subject, that although every pilot and air traffic controller knows strange things are flying around, our governments will not do anything about it until it is too late. And it was too late the moment they arrived. The war was over before it began. We are defenseless. There are no reverse engineered UFOs. No ELF super-HAARP planetary shields. If you resist, you die. If we try and take a landed ship, our soldiers will have their flesh dissolved off their bones by thermoacoustic pulse. We can either accept it and live out our puny little lives with the joys available, or not. As for myself, I'm getting a second degree in Film, learning how to DJ, and pursuing my dreams while there's still time. I assume at some point world governments will try something and all hell will break loose. I'd like to live a little before the idiots in power ruin everything.

For the record, the laws of physics do not prevent superluminal travel, just limit how one can go about achieving it. The primary constraint having to do with causality. If you people had actually studied Einstein and gravitation without making assumptions he never indulged in, you'd have figured that out. If you'll excuse me, I can't help but feel a certain contempt for some of you. We're the ones enduring all of this, and all we ask is for your support and comfort. But we don't get it. Instead, you just make fun. And when you finally take your heads out of your butts and take notice, you'll likely just get everyone killed in the process.

Summary: SUSPEND LOGIC AND DISBELIEVE, THEN ENJOY
Review: Like the people who watch professional wrestling, and somehow set aside the common knowledge that this "sport" is totally staged while enjoying the entertainment, you too can set aside your daily skepticism and common sense, THEN enjoy the book.

I am one of those folks who enjoy paranormal reading for entertainment after a hard left brain day in the software development trade. I love the new genre of "fictional" nonfiction, and dare the author to convince me of his great truth. David Jacobs works hard at it. After all, he is a professor of history. What more is needed to be a hypnotherapist and fighter of the alien hordes?

David lets us know that every other abduction hypnotherapist (except those who agree with him, of course) are deluded by their patients' false memories, yet Davy boy uniquely can differentiate the reality from the confabulation of his heavily hypnotized patients. Uh, huh.

One part of illogic I didn't understand: one major thesis of the book is that those dastardly aliens are trying to create hybrids to take over the world (hmmm...this sounds like a Dr. Evil plot. Where is Austin Powers when we need him?). Anyway, he states that there are generations of hybrids developed with the goal of creating a hybrid that looks just like James Dean, or at least other humans. Dave never explains why this would be important to aliens? I know certain earth women are quite attractive, but do entities from Orion know that? How lovely that our bodies are such hot commodities that those fiends from space are putting their dodgy DNA into bodies that look human! Could this be a wee bit of human chauvanism showing thru the hypnosis, and a wee bit of human borrowing from such movie classics as I MARRIED A SPACE MONSTER? (A lot of us could relate to that one!). David is quite entertaining as he reveals the meaningless violence and angst of the alien hybrid REBELS WITHOUT A CAUSE, young male hybrids who are sassy and sexually naughty with nubile young human females. Those alien monsters! Can't they even control their own young horny teen hybrids until the time they descend em mass to take over our shopping malls?

Buy the book for a good juicy absurd read. But please don't take it seriously. If you get scared, remind yourself "Professional wrestling is staged!"

Summary: A little too sensational and not all that scientific...
Review: Maybe I'm just not enough of a believer, but the claims made in this book seem a little too sensational and purely based on interpretation of past events, the reconstruction of which through hypnosis is widely debated (and often criticized). However, Dr. Jacobs is a respected academician, so perhaps he should be given the benefit of the doubt. Bottom line: interesting reading, but if you are looking for something convincing on the subject of alien abduction, I wouldn't be too quick to grab this treatment of the topic. P.S. Well written and easy to read.

Summary: A MUST-READ--best book on alien abduction
Review: Out of all the theories that try to make sense and explain alien abductions (and UFOs in general), none is so complete, thorough, logical, and scholarly as Jacobs'.
In the beginning, he points out why the alien abduction phenomenon is clearly real and why it isn't true that the many abduction stories (all over the world) are simply made up, dreamed of, caused by hypnosis, or caused by psychological or other problems (and how they differ from false "repressed memories" which sometimes occurs under incompetent hypnosis). He later analyses the many stories and comes up with a rational theory that makes perfect sense. All the strange events and procedures the aliens perform during abductions as well as the secrecy of the phenomenon make perfect sense after you read this book.
Unlike others who view the abduction phenomenon in a spiritual or religious sense and automatically assume that aliens and abductions are benevolent and are here to help or better mankind or are here from a higher spiritual realm (he explains why people believe this and how it is incorrect), he thoroughly investigates and looks at the UFO and abduction phenomenon logically, rationally and scientifically. When you put all the pieces of the puzzle together, the abductions make sense and the aliens intentions become clear. Their intentions are not benevolent, in our best interests, or to help or better mankind. Far from it, they have a dangerous and malevolent plan underway. I agree with the reviewer who said that not only should people interested in the UFO and paranormal phenomenon read it but everyone should.
UFOS and the abduction phenomenon are real(for evidence for, and an overview of UFOs and aliens also read Alien Agenda) . There are just way too many stories performed by unbiased and competent hypnosis (Jacobs explains how the aliens prevent people from remembering it, at least under normal circumstances), all over the world, and sometimes even with physical evidence (not much-the aliens are very careful), such as implants, markings on the ground, strange medical evidence, body marks and bruises, persons missing for a period of time, etc.

After so many abduction accounts, you'd think it would be clear that these beings are not benevolent, that they aren't spiritual beings from another dimension, that they aren't kindly "space brothers", and that "new-ageish" theories such as that is simply the result of wishful thinking.

For those who say it's impossible to travel light-years from even the nearest star, well, it may be impossible for us to do it with our method of space travel , but that doesn't mean a much more technologically advanced civilization hasn't found a way to do it. Two or three centuries ago we thought it would be impossible to fly or go to the moon. I think this is the best book on alien abduction because it makes sense of it. The aliens have a reason for their secrecy, and it's not to protect us, but to hide their intentions. Read this book.

Summary: Mars wants women! Oh, please spare me!
Review: People who believe in alien abduction will enjoy this recitation of erotic fantasies about aliens. If, however, you are not inclined to believe anything anyone says merely because they have expended the breath to utter it, you will find it tiresome. The book promises something more than another retelling of the same tired tales of rape, gynecological examination, implants, and abduction. It fails to deliver.Dr. Jacobs never once questions any of the bizarre and unsubstantiated tales told by his subjects. What is really a riot is his idea of proof! In one incident he relates a woman who fell asleep in the bath and upon awakening searches the house for her niece, whom she can't find. She goes to find a neighbor who discovers her asleep on the couch. Dr. Jacob's analysis: This proves that the niece was at the time being abducted by aliens as the woman was subjected to mind control in her bath. That a Ph.D. is satisfied with this explaniation does not bode well for our educational system.

Summary: Same as any other book on Alien subject.
Review: Reading the customer reviews i was expecting some new information on the Alien abduction matter.Instead what you get with most of these so called "UFOologists" is the same web of hinting at certain things but never having any clear evidence or even strongly backing the subject matter with their own name.I read 6 books last year on the Alien and UFO subject last year and have always come away more confused on whether to believe because the authors are allways so vague and can never agree on any point or conclusion. There is one thing that i have never seen in any other UFO books but i did find in this and that is the role of " so called" accounts of abductees both male and female being brutaly treated, beaten, gang raped, and generally having S&M style torture performed on them in their own house by "Alien Hybrids" that look human.(LOL).Graduating with a Masters in Psychology and Behevour Sciences this year i can only say that i think most of the subjects in this book have been watching way too much Jerry Springer.

Summary: Gloom and doom - the agenda of the invisible enemy
Review: Required reading for UFO buffs. Jacobs give the viewpoint of the "Negatives" on the phenomenon. We are being abducted in order for the aliens to create high-level humanoid hybrids, in preparation for their takeover of earth. All evidence is almost exclusively from hypnosis of abductees. If Jacobs is right, we've got a problem. But I don't agree with him that we are in a hopeless situation (if in fact all of this is for real).

Summary: Double standard
Review: The best way to evaluate the objectivity of a researcher is to find out for whom he writes. My previous inquiries have demonstrated that in the vast majority of cases, negative writers work on behalf of the CIA, or the NSA. The spin put on events by David Jacobs is typical. Some people will do anything for money, and not necessarily consciously. CIA/NSA rely heavily on Universities for their disinformation efforts. No doubt in my mind that an hybridisation program is in progress. What is pathetic is to view it as dammaging to humans. As to the opposition of the participants, it has not been demonstrated. Women claiming to have been abducted against their will appear to be released without impregnation. Those who were impregnated with implied consent speak of their experience with a sense of spiritual elation. Anyone can figure out the dilema. Read the Urantia Book and you will learn few things about previous biologic intercessions with humankind and the possible reasons for the present genetic and spiritual up-lifiting. If you believe that everything on earth is fine and that aliens want our poluted planet, read this book. The CIA needs you.

Summary: AN EYE OPENING EXPERIENCE
Review: THE BOOK WAS EXCELLENT. IT TELLS THE WORLD THAT ABDUCTIONS ARE REAL AND WE SHOULD PAY ATTENTION TO THEM. IT COVERS REAL LIFE EXSPERIENCES AND SHOWS THE OUTCOME OF BEING AN ABDUCTEE. THE BOOK NOT ONLY TELLS OF PAST EXSPERIENCES BUT ALSO GIVES US A LOOK INTO THE FUTURE.
