Summary: Judy, you deserve a medal!
Review: "When Your Doctor is Wrong" is an unbelievable journey through early parenthood following an adverse reaction to the Hepatitis B Vaccine. It tugged at my emotions - I felt angry and incredibly sad at the unfair blow dealt to Judy's family. It challenged me intellectually - what did I know about the Hepatitis B Vaccine and the epidemiology of Hepatitis B? It inspired me to ask questions and look critically at the issue of vaccine safety. All parents-to-be, all parents and all health care professionals involved in the care of infants should read this book. A book that took incredible determination and courage to write. Congratulations, Judy!

Review: Hi all,

Thank you for reading my book. I am compelled to tell you that the reviewer who said I found coffee problematic must have me confused with someone else. I love coffee and, no, it did not cloud my thinking when I wrote this book.

Cheers, Judy C.

Summary: Kendra, Parent of Autistic Hep B damaged child
Review: I had read 30 different books on Autism and related topics, before I read "When Your Doctor is Wrong,...". Her book was a validation of everything that all those other books left out. Finally someone looked at the one shot I knew was our problem Hep B. I got the book in the mail on a Friday, and finished it before going to sleep on Friday night. I felt like our families knew each other in the similarities. You hear so much about the MMR or the DPT, finally Judy gives us a clue to what may be triggering ALL of the others. Or, we may have to look at the possibility that different vaccines cause reactions in different children. For the first time, a book on Autism left nothing out that affected us. I always knew that the Hep B caused my daughters problems but no one else has mentioned it. I cried when I realized that five months of screaming as an infant was "NOT" colic. Judy's indignant anger shows through, yet is controlled, reasonable and above all understandable. Despite everything this family endured they also kept a healthy sense of humor. When you hear her story, you can relate to the treatment parents receive when doctors think they are right but you know they are wrong, because our gut instinct as a mother tells us so. Then she gives ideas on how to help your child to recover as best as possible, and the necessity of early diagnosis and intervention to have the greatest affect. This is a great read, like a mystery and adventure, but, it is a true story and on one of the most important topics of our day. Nice to get some validation from not just a parent but a professional in her own right with the knowledge we REALLY need to help our kids. This book helped me make discovery's and come to grips with my situation, other conditions and situations in my family and a new approach to everything, not just the Autism. Thanks to the author for doing this so well.

Summary: Hepatitis B Vaccine and Autism
Review: I read a couple of books about Autism and related topics and none of them gave me as much insight as this one by Judy Converse. It is clearly evident that she is an expert on this problem from the way she explains and treats this with excellent results. Esepcially her instructions to affected children on how to cop with this. She says, if it is diagnosed early enough, 100% chances are for the recovery. Here it also shows the totally unsuspected connection between Autism and Hepatitis B. A really scareful scenario.

The author mentioned, in an interview, what helped to complete the book. Kicking the coffee habit. Said drinking it clouded creativity. I agree too, and stopped completely a few weeks ago, with the help of a coffee replacement. It's called s o y f e e and I simply love it. Made from s o y that you brew just like coffee. I even like it better than the real stuff. Look for it at www.s oycoffee.com.

Summary: Great Book....Well Written !!
Review: Super job explaining the Hep "B" vaccine and it's problems.
The author tells the story that is heart wrenching and accurate.

I also read a book dealing with Autism and Thimerosal (mercury) poisoning called Mercury: The winged Messenger. If you liked
When Your Doctor is Wrong, Hepatitis B vaccine and autism, you will be blown away by Mercury: The Winged Messenger. This book deals with the Political side of this tragedy with a stinging
slap against the Pharmaceutical / Political establishment that in fact poisoned an entire generation of children for increased corporate profits.

Both books are a must read for every parent dealing with this
National health crisis.

Summary: A Must for Parents
Review: This book is a must for anyone who feels alone and helpless because they can't get answers to questions about their child's developmental problems, for anyone who has been intimidated by health professionals, and for all parents who want to take responsibility for keeping their children safe and healthy! When I have time to pick up the book, it is very hard to put down. It's well-written, fascinating, and heart-wrenching. I feel very angry at what this family has been subjected to, but I admire Judy for her persistence and devotion to her son.

Summary: What a story!
Review: This book is absolutely gripping. I couldn't put it down. Judy recounts the birth and infancy of her baby so vividly, and the trials and determination it took to save her child are epic.
The cause of her baby's problems is the vaccination for Hepatitis B, a disease transmitted by needles and sex. Since 1991, US newborns are routinely vaccinated, in this case without the parent's consent. The number of autistic children has multiplied ten-fold since then.
Judy clearly explains the complex cascade of biochemical events from vaccine damage, and I came away with a better understanding of how the immune system works.
This book is well-paced and vividly written, a must-read for anyone interested in vaccinations, autism, or facing the difficulties in life.
