Summary: A very moving and powerful book
Review: For those who are in touch with Mother Earth and all of her inhabitants (Specifically our animal friends). This is a beautifully poetically written book about the author and her relationship with a wolf. It made me happy and sad and was very hard to put down. I highly recommend this book.

Summary: Awakening the Wilderness in My Heart
Review: I am a hiker and avid outdoors woman living in Colorado. This book created a fire in my heart to be in, love and protect the "wilderness" in our lives. It brings tears to my eyes to remember the teaching and learning between woman and wolf. I am highly recommending this book to my book club for the January read. Her writing is vivid poetry - bringing the reader into the beauty and reality of nature.

Summary: Thought provoking and reflective
Review: I bought this book because I loved wolves and thought it would be interesting, in a very Discovery Channel kind-of-sense, to read the account of returning a wolf to its home. This book is so much more. It explores on a personal level the depths of learning your spiritual ancestry and coming to terms with the wildness that used to be such a part of our lives -- just like that of the wolf cubs. The language of the book is poetical without being prentious, and beautifully colors the landscape of the story.

Summary: Battle of love and truth in heart versing mind.
Review: I came across this book in a magazine and decided to give it a try because of it being a true story with wolves. I was not prepared for the wonderful emotional roller coaster I got. Teresa somehow managed to tell her story with sincerety and throughout never let you forget the joy she had as well as the heart battle of doing the right thing in releasing McKenzie. She managed to make you feel like you were there in the distance watching and feeling her every move and thought. She is a wonderful storyteller and lives her life to her roots. Thanks to her for sharing and bringing us a little closer to the life of a wolf in semi captivity. Thanks T Anuyi

Summary: Lyrical and Well-Told Story
Review: I loved this book, the writing, the story and the spiritual adventure. I often think about having my own wolf following me on romps through the wilderness whenever I am out hiking alone. This book has some wonderful insight into the wolf mind and shows why a wolf is not a dog and wolves should not live in captivity. Alongside the wolf story is a great journey the author makes in seeking her own identity and place. I highly recommend it.

Summary: Great book
Review: I passed it on to my 13 year old daughter, normally she's hard to sell on a book. I'm still waiting for her to return it to me.

Review: I read this book slowly. It makes you laugh, cry, and THINK. From the book: "What do you mean Man and Woman are two sexes?" Said Coyote to me one night. "You know," I answered. Coyote shook himself "Well, you're wrong on that one." Grandfather in the corner started giggling. "Oh well, then how many sexes are there?" Coyote yawned and said, "For people, eight." "Eight?" I asked. "How can there be eight?" Coyote recited as Grandfather counted off on his fingers. "Woman who loves man. Man who loves woman. Woman who loves woman. Man who loves man. Man loving as woman. Woman loving as man. The one who is both. The one who is alone. Got that?" said Coyote and he curled up to go to sleep.
