Summary: A book of a quality and symmetry like none other I've seen
Review: I've read the Urantia Book and have been so impressed by it that I've been searching out others who have read and still study it. The book's contents are so beautiful, consistent, logical and lucid, it's amazing to me.

It was sometimes a lot of work to read it the first time because it's so big and uses so many words, but now I'm reading it again and it's easier this time. It was definetly worth it. Having read it leaves me wanting to go tell everyone I know about it, but I've come to realize that not everyone are "ready" or hungry for this at this time. I believe that the ripple effect "readers" are having and will increasingly have on the world will continue to raise our society's standards of thinking, loving and serving.

Summary: points to ponder
Review: After much deliberating on the subject matter - several points though subtle come to my attention. Christ Michael is reduced to the status of a paradise Son of which there are 700,000 as opposed to his own testimony of being an eternal son - the only begotten . Also unlike the gospels the whole meaning of GOD is not in every part of his words , nor is any part in the whole , I think this is the reason for over 1000 pages of dead words which have no spirit or life ,and are completely flat and after a while tedious , mechanical and boring - The most disappointing point is after so many pages of so called exalted knowledge one finally comes to the crucifixion account that is so proposterously shallow in its explanation as to render the whole book a farce . THE POINT -That is : Of The Etenal Son's complete Self Surrender to The Father In True Love beyond all is missed out and The True Meaning of It is completely lacking . All Those Thosands of pages of words and what is THE WHOLE POINT is missing and left out- I think on purpose - My question is - what is the MOTIVE behind the Book?

Summary: The magnificence of the ages, brought to humanity's level
Review: Never before has such a revelatory effort been brought to the eyes of the world. While we are conscious of much that has come down through the ages from our spiritual sources--The Holy Bible, Old and New Testaments, The Book of Mormon, the Koran and others--the great and exceeding intelligences that placed this book on our planet have afforded an incredible opportunity by which to fill in the blanks of the books of old. Consequently, I believe in my heart of hearts that this incredible book is the ultimate book, presented to us at this time in our planet's history, and a precurser to information that shall be displayed for our world as it pertains to that which is needed in order to understand what is coming forth in this new millennium. While we have been removed from the times in which parables were a way of life within the community of earth, we have grown in our sophistication to recognize that there are indeed forces beyond our capability that have descended upon our earth by which to accelerate man and womankind's understanding of our deeper selves, and in this are we able to finally come to grips with the truth as to our beginnings, and the evolution of the soul, and the true connection that Christ brought to our earth in order for us to perceive our own accomplishments, as a race, through his ministrations, words, and internal guidance. To me, there is no other manuscript that answers the questions deep inside that sadly remain unanswered up to this moment in time...

Summary: Hoho, YES INDEED!
Review: Ahhh... it doesn't get anymore out there than this, ladies and gentlemen. Nothing less than a complete and utter debasement of practically every Christian belief ever held. Urantia means Earth in alien tongue! Christ was an ALIEN! The aliens are coming to save us, but they're all spiritual beings and angels and demons and stuff! And so on, and so on. Yes, it's mostly freaking gibberish and ridiculous tripe, but the kind that makes you want to leap up and down on your bed (or your altar, or your rose-bush, or whatever gets your jolly on). If you hate Christianity, love Christianity, or just like a good dip into some nice esoteric hooplah, grab ye The Urantia Book! Hey, this one is leather bound too! I'm getting me one!

Summary: Finally finished after nine months
Review: Just like giving birth. I read a quote once that went something like; "The opposite of a fact is a falsehood, yet the opposite of a profound truth may very well be another profound truth." And I think that if you're going to read this book and get anything out of it, you need to go into it with that philosophy in mind. Most of my family and friends are not ready for a book like this. It is a belief shatterer. But I say that even if you do not believe what you are reading, there is wisdom in the book. There is meaning and value.

Summary: Incredibly Insightful, But Often Misunderstood
Review: This is a spiritual book, and the truths in it must be viewed with the soul and acted upon through day to day living. Many of the "facts" in it are simply there to provide a context. They include a disclaimer that the science in it will become obsolete, whereas the spiritual ideas will last forever. The revelators also acknowledge in the last part of the Foreward that much of the concepts were from human sources because of the desirability of using already conceived of ideas before adding new ones. In addition, the authors reiterate many times that it is almost impossible to explain complex universe concepts in the languages of this planet, so it is imperative that in order to gain a full understanding of these concepts that we open our minds and look beyond the words. In this sense, The Urantia Book is metaphoric; transcendent truths in it can only be gleaned by the receptiveness of the soul reading it: Truth is in the soul of the believer. With the right spiritual attitude, this book will provide many years of fruitful self development as long as there is a sincere effort to transcend the limitations of language through actual spiritual experience.

Summary: Sincere Seekers Rejoice!
Review: I spent many years dabbling in metaphysics, Eastern Religions, Timothy Leary, Ram Das and even Sri Aurobindo and Alice A. Bailey. But nothing prepared me for having REAL ANSWERS! Then, I was introduced to THE URANTIA BOOK and began to grow in wisdon, understanding, and eagerness to be about the Father's Will. This was nearly thirty years ago. I have been so completely satisfied with this great work, that I am involved with two weekly Study Groups devoted to a deeper knowledge of this superb work. Hint: if you're convinced that there's more to know about Jesus of Nazareth than the Holy Bible tells us, this book is what you're been seeking. Read it and know God's blessings.

Summary: Brilliant Fiction
Review: A better, clearer and much more detailed and imaginative creation than the bible. For over 25 years I believed. Slowly the racism ate at its beauty. When I learned of the mass eugenics movement of the early part of this century the bubble weakened. And when the plagerization became common knowledge, my personal belief bubble burst. Brilliant Religious Fiction, but sadly, just a product of its time. My name changed with my last marriage 20 years ago to honor the star of the book; Christ Michael.

Review: If you ever woundered what is your porpuse in life; Is there a hell and heaven; Is there life in other planets; Is there life after death and how is it? This wounderfull book will answer all of those and other questions. As any intelligent college graduate professional (Physical Therapist), with a strong believe in science and evolution, the Bible was hard to swallow. In surch of personal and spiritual growth , I have read many books, I have travel to 6 countries and looked in many types of religions; either for curiosity or to find one that would fufill me. However I have never found anything so compeling as the Book of Urantia. Thanks for this book, and I am back in church and with a stronger relationship with God than I have ever had in my life. Summary: The Quest to end all but one
Review: I've been searching for the truth every since I was brought into this world and never have I come so close than what is inside The Urantia Book. Some may doubt the author but don't doubt the stories, for they help regardless of any predispositions. I found it hard to actually start from the beginning of the book, so I went straight to part IV which was about Jesus. When I grasped this part, the rest of the book made absolute sense.
