Summary: we hold these truths to be self evident
Review: On the one side..the truth...on the other side...the secrecy.

We honour those who hold the secrets. we honour those who bust the secret holders...enter Chris Dunn. Maverick man entering the Great Pyramid and striking the coffer in almost complete darkness. We need and admire those who walk into the veil of secrecy and stand tall.

Chris Dunn...we honour you.

A delighted reader of your book...The Giza Power Plant

Summary: Destroys the last vestige of the tomb theory
Review: An excellent work that obliterates the last shreds of the pathetic tomb theory. Despite the fact that there is NO evidence to support the tomb theory (see the old William Fix book Pyramid Odyssey), the subliterate morons who call themselves Egyptologists have stuck with it because they lacked the intellect, imagination or integrity to initiate an original thought. Dunn may not be 100% correct, but he's certainly on the right path. Now I hope he gets a chance to analyze the other two large Giza pyramids as well as the two large ones at Dashur. All four of those pyramids have intiguing and unique interior architecture, the purpose of which is unknown.

Summary: The Pyramid puzzle decoded at last!!
Review: I've now read your book. Wow. An amazing piece of detective work!! I like the way all the pieces fit together into an amazing puzzle, each strange feature neccessary to the whole, and nothing left out. I really think you've solved the riddle of the Great Pyramid!! Do you have a sequel in mind?

Summary: It is......for (the) tomb the bell tolls.
Review: "Your achievement is undeniable and unassailable. A rock-solid foundation, i.e., the sound framework within which a magnificent superstructure can be built, is in-place for all to see. You have, without a doubt and without fear of reproach, correctly and with the highest degree of accuracy DEFINED the Great Pyramid. Make no mistake about it, there can be no question here of mere theory or whimsical hypotheses. The fact is that the structure, the overall design of the Great Pyramid has been explained! Furthermore, in addition to a rigorous structural analysis, you have unearthed what can very appropriately be alluded to as being the "Rosetta Stone" that promises to reveal to us an equally credible interpretation of the functional aspects of the Seventh Wonder of the World."

Summary: A logical replacement for the tomb theory.
Review: At last! An experienced engineer has presented a logical and beautifully diagramed explanation for the strange internal archetecture of the Great Pyramid...a very refreshing replacement for the totally worn out "tomb" theory with the pharaoh changing his mind as to just where he wanted to be placed. But, watch out! It is bound to start a tidal wave of controversy from traditionalists, oil company executives, and nationalistic politicians In addition, the book is a gold mine of information not found in one's daily reading.

Summary: Finally Some Sense in Evaluating the Great Pyramid!
Review: You don't have to listen to silly arguments that the Great Pyramid is a tomb, built with copper tools and ramps and other nonsense any longer. As a trained Master Engineer with extensive knowledge of his discipline, the perseverance of a detective, and showing the imagination of a first rate mind, Chris Dunn has given all of us a plausible explanation of what the Great Pyramid really was - a power plant. I believe that it probably served other functions as well - initiatic site, broadcast center, geodetic marker, and mathematical indicator but it was as power plant that the Great Pyramid was primarily built for. In a consistent and analytical way, Chris Dunn shows us the meaning of the granite plug, the Well Shaft, the Antechamber, the Relieving Chambers, the "Air" Shafts, the Notch in the Queen's Chamber and many other features of the Great Pyramid which have never before been explained in a coherent fashion. For any student of Ancient Egypt this book is a must and ranks with Peter Tompkins' classic "Secrets of the Great Pyramid" as necessary for any thinking person who wishes to know the meaning of the Great Pyramid.

Summary: Dunn buries the pyramid-as-tomb theory once and for all!
Review: Christopher Dunn has written a tremendous book--far and away the best work about the Great Pyramid in the last 25 years. Using his background as a master machinist and engineer, Chris has seen the Great Pyramid as it really was and is, a magnificient structure built by master craftspeople (scientists and engineers) to be a practical device, a power plant. Chris explains why it was built so precisely, why the particular materials were used and how advanced machining and techniques had to be employed to accomplish the task. Anyone interested in the recovery of ancient wisdom, understanding how the Great Pyramid could not possibly have been originally designed and built as a tomb for a king, and interested in concepts of sacred geometry, acoustical harmonic resonance theories and the great knowledge of the Ancient Khemitians (Egyptians) must read this book!

Summary: The Giza Power Plant comes of age.
Review: This work was started in September 1977 and will be of age when it becomes available for purchase. The book addresses the feasibility of the pyramids as tombs theory and presents hard evidence that proves that the ancient Egyptians were much more advanced than we have previously believed. So advanced, in fact, that they created stunning artifacts that we would have difficulty producing even today!

The Giza Power Plant presents ample evidence that many stone artifacts found in Egypt could only have been produced using highly precise and sophisticated machine tools. The question then becomes, "what powered these machine tools and where is their power source?"

To answer this question we delve into the Great Pyramid of Giza with a thorough analysis of its inner chambers, architectural and construction characteristics, anomalous substances, and unusual artifacts carelessly noted or closely scrutinized by researchers in the past. This analysis leads us to the conclusion that the Great Pyramid was actually built to serve as a machine. A machine that provided power to the civilization that built it and invested so much time and energy.

How did it do this? By responding harmonically with the seismic energy contained within the Earth, the Great Pyramid became a coupled oscillator and drew energy through it and converted it to electromagnetic energy through the sophisticated use of acoustics and quartz-bearing rock.

Summary: Simply Amazing!!
Review: This is a very well thought out, scientifically formulated theory on what the Great Pyramid actually was. It throws conventional "wisdom" in the faces of Egyptologists, who, unbelievably, still either refute as impossible, or simply ignore, the obvious evidence that the people who built the Giza pyramids were highly advanced technologically!

Saying that copper tools (whether hardened or not) are all that were used to build enormous structures out of extremely hard igneous rock because 1) that is all that has been found so far, and 2) that is (thought to be) the highest level of technology achieved at that time is simply, well, ludicrous! That's similar to saying the Empire State Building was constructed with nothing more than a pick and shovel because those were the only tools found at that location!

I'll have to get a book on the South American pyramids (yes, they have them there as well), and hopefully they'll talk about what was found (if anything) in the interior of those structures. I would love to hear that they are similar to the Egyptian pyramids.

Well done, Mr. Dunn!

Summary: Technical Prowess, Scientific Method, and Analytical
Review: The book "The Giza Power Plant" was given to me as a gift from a friend. It spent many years on my bookcase, with only a cursory glance. Readying myself for a long business trip, I grabbed up some reading material and tossed it into my briefcase. On the plane, I realized what I had done, and believed I had one of those "new age" fantasy books. Being an engineer and physicist, I am a believer in the scientific method. This book is fantastic, and I was unable to put it down. Although written around the possible purpose of the Giza Pyramid, the thrust of the document eliminates the impossible and proves out his theory of advanced machining in an ancient society. Good job Chris!
