Review: The Holographic Universe is a book that explains the unexplainable areas of the human psyche through using a model of the hologram. The many different puzzles of the mind tend to fit quite well into the holographic model, and Talbot uses this to go from explaining photographic memory to the existence of god.

Review: This has to be one the best books I've ever read. Talbot challenges all that is known to modern day science by blending in the unexplainable. This book gives insight on some of the most mysterious things that happen in life. His "Holographic Model" makes the reader stop and think about all traditional teachings of science, religion and reality. It offers much to debate for the "closed-minded" and even more to think about for the "open-minded." Our perception of things has a great effect on the way we live. If you think that there is more to the universe than five senses, strap yourself in and enjoy this thought provoking ride!

Summary: Science Or Pseudo-Science?
Review: When I originally purchased and began to read Talbot's presentation, I was intrigued by the way he proposed to explain some of the mysterious or unexplained phenomena of the past and present through an honest inquiry. He applied a blend of both scientific theory and speculations from traditional mysticism to the table. He includes discussions of some of the stranger aspects of quantum physics that have challenged modern physicists with their counter-intuitiveness and introduces the concept of the HOLOGRAPH as a possible model of reality. Yet he feels the need to combine these points with paranormal or "supernatural" mysteries from the past, as well as his own experiences. In the end, however, he clearly veers towards his own assumptions and uncritically accepts much of the dubious superstitions and supernatural claims of less enlightened historical times. He does not actually present any real evidence for his argument or hypothesis, but descends into personal anecdotes (i.e. unverified claims) about his own bizzare "experiences"(hallucinations?). The book is interesting up to a point, but quickly degenerates into yet another "New Age" attempt to elevate magical-spiritual-supernatural nonsense to the level of legitimate and testable science. Very unfortunate indeed.

Summary: Finally, a realistic answer! Just read and become free!
Review: I first read Holographic Universe in 1992, awestruck is a mild word compared with the bounty of wealth provided in chapter and verse. Mr.Talbot has exposed what surely must be part of the way futureistic evolution will be judged, or not, depending on the accuracy in the interpertation of his writings. Reguardless, once read the truth will forever be inside you , as it was , just never seen. Simply an astonishing piece of work. Thus, here I am eight years later and proof that the concepts are alive and compeling as ever. The way reality becomes apparent will leave you with the need to grow! Tres Bien!

Summary: A profound and titillating view -the nature of our Universe
Review: Michael, it is my greatest pleasure to read this book and know that there is intelligence left on this planet. For a while there...I was beginning to wonder. ;) There are no limits except those which are self created. The actual facts have been clearly delineated by you, and only an ignorant or foolish person could refute them and choose to remain in illusion. A great work of both science and intuition, melded into one. Thanks for this tasty morsel. Good food for thought!

Summary: This book has changed my life!!!
Review: I have had strong psychic abilities my whole life. I didn't talk about it much, actually I learned to bury it. After reading this book I connected to so many parts of it. I realized that my being an artist, my passion, my inspiration and my psychic ability were all connected. I could not afford to bury any part of myself any longer. Concealing my psychic ability buried my inspiration and my creativity with it. I have now gone through the most wonderful life change. Artists today,always complain that they can't find inspiration. Inspiration, consciousness, spirituality, creativity and psychic abilities are all there inside everyone. We are all too busy being distracted by modern life. When the world wakes up to the holographic concepts of the universe, they will find a more peaceful mind within and in turn, their minds will change the world. I thank the author for writing this book. His work has empowered me to "SEE" the hologram we live in. I'm changing mine, will you?

Summary: Exciting ideas that could change your world view.
Review: This book requires an open mind and a desire for a better model than science has to offer. I found this an exciting read, filled with intriguing examples and applications. Finally, a model of reality that can explain out of body experiences, near death experiences, along with many other previously ignored ideas. Our "Modern" science has a tendency to ignore what it can't explain rather than question our understanding. I've felt for a long time that science would eventually come to support what religions have taught for years... This book is a step in that direction!

Review: Easily the most powerful, mind-opening...no, mind RELEASING book that I have ever had the great honor of EXPERIENCING! My entire philosophy on life is forever changed for the better; and I will undoubtedly become a better human being as a result of it! If you are a person who clings to their deepest most cherished theological beliefs with vicegrip-like determination; I recommend The Holographic Universe only if you welcome your reality being thrown completely askew by the grand enlightenment contained therein!
