Review: This novel is a quick, yet engaging read. The author wrote a tightly knit, inventive tale of one woman's ordeal over the course of a year in discovering, confronting and dealing with her husband's failures and the resulting collapse of her marriage. The story is not just your same-old account of an adulterous marriage, for it is imaginative and convincing. It offers a nice balance of being light at times and heavy at others. It is also descriptive without too much fanfare. I recommend it to anyone interested in a glimpse into what may very well be a slice of life in 1970's America, when infidelity and social revelry were unbridled and the legal dissolution of a marriage was no longer an uncommon phenomenon.
