Summary: Trouble just seems to follow Darvi . . . .
Review: But Dakota is always there to get her out of it.
Darvi is eager to see her old friend, Merry, to tell of her new found faith in Christ. Dakota, a Texas Ranger, agrees to see her out to her friends home and then to the train station.
On the way to the train they encounter many obstacles but the biggest is when Darvi is mistaken for a newspaper reporter and is abducted. Even after her abductors realize their mistake, one of them, Seth, decides to keep her and marry her.
I thought this was an excellent book. With Dakota and Darvi both struggling to understand their new faith, they seemed like real people. I definitely would recommend this book, especially if you are a Lori Wick fan.

Review: This is my favorite of this series. Trouble just seems to find Darvi where ever she goes, and Dakota is always there to make things right again. An excellent Book!

Review: We have been HUGE Lori Wick fans since reading "A Place Called Home." We eagerly anticipated the newest Lori Wick creation, and are disappointed with the outcome of "Texas Sky." The plot was beyond the reach of our imaginations! (And we have large imaginations.) The characters were completely unbelievable ...especially the "bad guys" who are so respectful and thoughtful. Darvi's character was sweet, but somewhat wishy-washy in attitude and actions. Dakota was a lively secondary character in Book 1 - but seems to lose his spark in this book. The intriguing, deep characterizations of "Sophie's Heart" and "Pretense" were missed. The action and romance of the Kenningston Chronicles would have been welcomed. We highly recommend any of Mrs. Wick's other books, and are sure fans will want read this book too...but, be prepared that it is not up to the typically high standard of writing previously released by Lori Wick. To new Lori Wick readers we HIGHLY recommend reading "The Hawk and the Jewel" or "Pretense" or "What Tomorrow Brings" - you will see excellent examples of the talented writing that Lori Wick is typical of. We are keeping our hopes up for the Book 3.
